Placed my order on Dec 21st, received it on Dec 24th! Will definitely by placing another order in the the next week or so!
This video will explain the difference. Both those items are on back order from the factory. I have the 1096-69-200 arriving mid Jan and the 1096-49-200 will ship from Germany mid Jan.
Are the Montezuma tool boxes German made also ?
Ash, looking at the Felo precision screwdrivers. Does anybody complain about the selection? It doesn't seem like there are that many sizes included. I would prefer to stick with Felo but I might go with Whia.
Looking at your site I noticed you added a new brand ... Wera. Are you going to have a cart feature or are these going to be special order like Gedore. Any timeframe when this will be. Thanks?
Ash, have you had the chance to compare the Felo reversibles with Wiha's Drive-Loc 4, particularly the handles? No complains yet. They are really nice, i like them better then the Wiha. The felos have a 2K handle and quality tips. The sets are only 6 pieces but you can add to it. I believe there are 27 options to add and the pricing is very good.

Just curious, as I've never tried any of Felo's electronic screwdrivers. I do have Drive-Loc 4 (6 too), and find it more comfortable to use than traditional electronics screwdrivers, particularly when some torque is needed (i.e. too much thread locker on small screws).
TIA.![]()
Could you elaborate? The Felo set would more compare to the Wiha 28084 System 4 Interchangeable Anti-Static Precision Set and I would say Felo would be a better choice compared to that.

I was referring to these sets.

Hadn't had a System 4 in hand to tell, which is why I was curious. The blades are very similar both chrome plated and same size but on the Felo they do not have chrome end and are black oxide finish which eliminates having chrome chips fall into sensitive electronic equipment. The handle on both have same style screw collar lock design, the Felo handle is slightly fatter and has a rubber soft feel grip where your fingers would grab. The rotation cap on the Felo is much larger and better comfort on the palm or finger.
I actually have both this and Drive-Loc 6 sets. They're definitely more comfortable to use than traditional electronics drivers in my case, and allow me to get more torque on the screw if needed. The system below has a totally different handle style which is much thicker more like traditional style screwdriver handle with a quick push button adjustment and the blades have detents on them for 1/4 inch increment adjustment, better design but much more expensive.

But as you say, they aren't exactly cheap (probably have ~$250 in these right now).
Just bought every security bit they offer for the System 6 version in fact (came in yesterday).
FWIW, the chrome on either Drive-Loc series does not cover the bit section, just the shaft. I use these for electronics, so this aspect was critical for me.
Good to know the standard versions' chrome cover the bit as well, as I presumed they'd be the same other than the dimples and color coating on the tips.
I can take a pic of a new blade to show you if you wish, as it's quite easy to see where the chrome stops and the sand blasted finish on the bit end starts.
No problem.Send me some pics I'm interested to see, I've noticed some have a green or blue colored end as well. I've got the 26985 - 12 Piece Set Drive-Loc ESD coming just to see it up close and evaluate in myself.
If you could just put a few of the different bits together and just take one pic of the ends close up would be cool. ThanksNo problem.
Anything in particular you'd like to see?
As per color identification, there's multiples it seems. Red for metric Hex, Yellow for SAE Hex, Green for Torx, Blue for Phillips, sort of a light pale Purple for Pozidrive, and darker shade of Purple for Tri Wing. Slotted are bare metal.
I have the 26985, 28197, and all the additional VI series security bits currently offered, if this helps narrow things down.
Will do.If you could just put a few of the different bits together and just take one pic of the ends close up would be cool. Thanks
Another set of thumbs up for Ash! Best customer service I've experienced in a while. I look forward to buying from him again when the circlip pliers are in stock.![]()

Hello Ash or any other knowledgable gents: what are the differences between the Felo screwdriver series?
The numbers don't follow it seems. The 800 are the cheapest, though they have such a pretty blue colour....., the 200 have better tips, but are the handles a red version of the 800? What about the 400 vs 500 series?
