My order went in on the 22nd, arrived here on the other side of the country on the 24th. This guy needs to stop working so hard or he'll make everybody else look bad!

I placed an order and then found something else I wanted to add. Ash himself called me a few hours later and said he that the first order had already shipped (I don't even think it was 3 hours)but that I could order the other item I wanted and he would waive the shipping fee. This guy is GOOD!

This video will explain the difference. Both those items are on back order from the factory. I have the 1096-69-200 arriving mid Jan and the 1096-49-200 will ship from Germany mid Jan.

I ordered the pistol grip pliers. They were back ordered. I went ahead and ordered them knowing Ash told me they wouldnt be in until mid january. After a few days I decided to add to my order. PMed Ash to combine shipping, I had to add to my Felo collection. I did it just in time. He shipped them out Thursday and they arrived today. I realized I was taking my Felo's to the basement instead of using the craftsmans.

I love the new stuff, the 1/4 driver should have a bolster on it but I knew it didnt when I bought it.

Ash, looking at the Felo precision screwdrivers. Does anybody complain about the selection? It doesn't seem like there are that many sizes included. I would prefer to stick with Felo but I might go with Whia.

Looking at your site I noticed you added a new brand ... Wera. Are you going to have a cart feature or are these going to be special order like Gedore. Any timeframe when this will be. Thanks?

No complains yet. They are really nice, i like them better then the Wiha. The felos have a 2K handle and quality tips. The sets are only 6 pieces but you can add to it. I believe there are 27 options to add and the pricing is very good.

I will be stocking some of there items and can order anything out of the catalog. I will stock the stainless steel items, chisel drive with the 1/4" drive end, some bits, and other items. Is there anything in particular that you where after.

Ash, have you had the chance to compare the Felo reversibles with Wiha's Drive-Loc 4, particularly the handles?

Just curious, as I've never tried any of Felo's electronic screwdrivers. I do have Drive-Loc 4 (6 too), and find it more comfortable to use than traditional electronics screwdrivers, particularly when some torque is needed (i.e. too much thread locker on small screws).

TIA. :)

I would have to say that the wiha Drive-Loc 4 isn't like the traditional precision screwdriver set and I don't think it would be a fair comparison. The Drive-Loc would be a better setup, the handle is slightly fatter so you can get better grip and more torque, it is easier and faster to adjust the blades but it does cost quite a bit more. The Felo set would more compare to the Wiha 28084 System 4 Interchangeable Anti-Static Precision Set and I would say Felo would be a better choice compared to that.

I put some pics of the 2 below. The blades are very similar both chrome plated and same size but on the Felo they do not have chrome end and are black oxide finish which eliminates having chrome chips fall into sensitive electronic equipment. The handle on both have same style screw collar lock design, the Felo handle is slightly fatter and has a rubber soft feel grip where your fingers would grab. The rotation cap on the Felo is much larger and better comfort on the palm or finger.

The system below has a totally different handle style which is much thicker more like traditional style screwdriver handle with a quick push button adjustment and the blades have detents on them for 1/4 inch increment adjustment, better design but much more expensive.

I have 22 of the Felo 500 series screwdrivers, Torx, stubbies and bit drivers. They are fantastic quality... how many do you need to choose from? I didn't even buy them all, either. ;)

2 sets + singles = Felo goodness

Last Thursday morning I ordered a set of screw extractors and I needed it delivered by Tuesday this week, but wow, it arrived by Saturday.

Lightening fast shipment and fast communication = :rocker:

Thank you Ash.

Hadn't had a System 4 in hand to tell, which is why I was curious.

The handle on the Felo does look better than what comes on the standard System 4 (or electronics screwdrivers in general). Necessary for the screw size, but the traditional handle shapes aren't comfortable for me when I need to get some real torque down.

The system below has a totally different handle style which is much thicker more like traditional style screwdriver handle with a quick push button adjustment and the blades have detents on them for 1/4 inch increment adjustment, better design but much more expensive.
I actually have both this and Drive-Loc 6 sets. They're definitely more comfortable to use than traditional electronics drivers in my case, and allow me to get more torque on the screw if needed.

But as you say, they aren't exactly cheap (probably have ~$250 in these right now).

Just bought every security bit they offer for the System 6 version in fact (came in yesterday).

FWIW, the chrome on either Drive-Loc series does not cover the bit section, just the shaft. I use these for electronics, so this aspect was critical for me.

Good to know the standard versions' chrome cover the bit as well, as I presumed they'd be the same other than the dimples and color coating on the tips.

I can take a pic of a new blade to show you if you wish, as it's quite easy to see where the chrome stops and the sand blasted finish on the bit end starts.

Send me some pics I'm intrested to see, I've noticed some have a green or blue colored end as well. I've got the 26985 - 12 Piece Set Drive-Loc ESD coming just to see it up close and evaluate in myself.

No problem.

Anything in particular you'd like to see?

As per color identification, there's multiples it seems. Red for metric Hex, Yellow for SAE Hex, Green for Torx, Blue for Phillips, sort of a light pale Purple for Pozidrive, and darker shade of Purple for Tri Wing. Slotted are bare metal.

I have the 26985, 28197, and all the additional VI series security bits currently offered, if this helps narrow things down.

If you could just put a few of the different bits together and just take one pic of the ends close up would be cool. Thanks

Will do.

Not sure the phone camera will do it any justice, so I'll hunt down the DSLR and give that one a go too (will almost certainly need to recharge the battery). Hopefully one or the other will give a good enough pic.

Got my new pliers in! Looks and feels way better than my craftsman pliers. Oiled very well and very smooth actions. Little goofup with shipping but promptly fixed..Ash rules!

Hi Ash,

Couldn't find the DSLR charger, so all I've been able to use is a cell phone camera. Not the greatest shots I'm afraid, but hopefully they'll be of some use to you.

Ash, your customer service is amazing. I have placed two orders, both being in the middle of the night. Last one was at about 4 AM on Saturday morning with my Knipex and NWS stuff arriving via USPS today (Monday).

USPS is not my carrier of choice but somehow you get them to deliver lightning fast.

Hello Ash or any other knowledgable gents: what are the differences between the Felo screwdriver series?

The numbers don't follow it seems. The 800 are the cheapest, though they have such a pretty blue colour....., the 200 have better tips, but are the handles a red version of the 800? What about the 400 vs 500 series?

The 800's are hard handle and shafts are nickle plated only.
The 200's have hard handle and shafts are chrome plated with blackened tips. They also have a chisel drive in this series.
The 800 and 200 have same handle different color.
The 500 have a 2K handle soft rubber with hard plastic, The 400 have a 2K handle soft rubber with hard plastic but the center of the handle has a soft material which makes the handle actually form to your hand, you can actually squeeze the handle with your 2 fingers. The shafts between the 2 are the same.
