"Sometimes you need to make a mess to clean up a mess"
Since I was stalled on the truck project (Couldn't find the .023 drive roller for the welder) I/we (Oldest boy) decided that we should work more on cleaning up the woodworking side of the shop.
We had 2 areas of wall not being used very well, the first was where we had a tool board and book shelf, kinda wasted space.
We scrounged the wood rack and came up with a few bits and built a quick and dirty shelving unit to hang in that space, not complete yet need to add the 2nd set of shelving.
This area will now hold all the books, manuals, and magazines along with some other stuff.
First half.
Next up was the area above and behind the wood lathe, I had a couple of small parts drawers and a clamp rack here. We will add another clamp rack to the wall to the left with the other clamps and fill the scavenged cabinets with fasteners. and the top of the cabinets will be shelf space for more of the bulk fasteners.
And here is the pile of **** that we had to move around in order to get the cabinets up.
After a bunch of back and forth the big assembly table will be going, to be replaced by a new wood working bench about 6 feet by 2 feet giving us much more room to move around. I have another assembly top that sits on horses for those times where a larger table is needed.
