Very nice job on the drawers. Look forward to seeing the tools sitting in the foam all nice and neat.
Thanks
Shorty, not quite all in foam - still working things out.
Got to fiddle for a short time today and try out a couple of ideas after much time during the last week or so looking at pics of how others have done things.
First was spanner layout in one of the new draws, tried out the coiled up electrical wire method. Seems to work well leaving plenty of room for spanner growth in this draw...

Haven't really found a nice solution for drill bits other than the huot type drill storage trays. Really wanted to have some sort of curved base to make it easier to pickup the smaller bits. Nothing really jumped at me and all the home made stuff only sort of catered to those that have single bit sets rather than multiple bits.
I had some PVC pipe (ID is 38mm) sitting under the house so I ripped it in half, cut to length and layed it in the draw. There is 6.2 lineal mts of tray in PVC in this pic, fills up quick so at least now I can see what bits I have instead of trolling through a full container wasting time.
I have some strips of kaizan foam that I'll cut as dividers between the rows that can have size labels attached. The lower rows are 1.5-13 mm bits.

Problem is I don't have a full set of imperial sizes here (there are some mixed in with what is there now), so I might make a very shallow 1/2 size tray to slide in the top of the draw for the smaller 1-6 mm & equiv imp bits and leave the base for the larger sizes.
Will fiddle a bit more and report back.
No progress on draw front making this weekend, last weekend of school holidays so we were packing in the last activities with the kids and I ended up working today too.
Have a good week. GB.
