wonder if he paid the property taxes before getting that welder?...
Bill, just keep working away at things. However, turning that welder into a little bit of extra $ may not be a bad idea. A welder instead of a bad debt is better than holding the bad debt, but selling it on Craigslist may be a good idea if you don't have actual work for the welder. Holding onto it because you'd like to learn how to weld sounds a lot like keeping wood because you one day want to build something, or keeping greenhouse glass because one day you want to build a greenhouse.
Bill grab a pair ice skates and you skate around in your pee filled basement this winter.
that was uncalled for even by my standards.... no reason to insult the man
But, it is all part of my master plan to have a nice shop I can go work in. Now the big question is if there is a purpose for that shop. If not, I should just sell all those tools and store a car or bikes in there.
I am going to be very busy for quite some time with reclaiming the rest of the house and the rest of my life. So everything will just sit there for a while in any case. Can I have a dream beyond the dream of a nice house and organized common sense life? Or is it just another trap. Gotta think about that.
Very True!

Meanwhile back to it.
If that's net progress (despite any new stuff you've brought in), then you're good.Been reluctant to post as progress is slower than people like, but progress is being made.
Good idea - that should help get a grip on the whole situation. It is time to simplify in all areas. Simplify and refocus.
Allright! Let's see thatToday I have decided to remove all the contents of the spare bedroom, with few exceptions (Dressers and closets will remain. If we haven't used items, we don't need them.

Wow. Well at least I won't have to repeat any of it thenAnd BTW, Web's post was so right on the mark. I ate it up. I soaked it up. I am following it and referring back to it. I may print it out and post it on the bathroom mirror.
8 more trashcans of trash and leaves full and ready for trash day. 6 more piles of leaves raked up and ready to go (The last of them). 8 boxes and 8 big bags of stuff out and waiting for trash day. 6 more bags of clothes out to van to go to laundromat. 1 dog ready for new home pickup.
Well, got rid of 12 trash cans full of junk and leaves instead of 8. I refilled one of my 8 and then 3 of a neighbors with the leaves from in her gutter and curb (It feels good to help your neighbors once in a while. Makes you feel like a human being). Also got the stairway completely cleaned off (First time in years and it will stay that way)! Photo later tonight after I sweep it.
Good job.
Also...Re-read the highlighted part and think of those that offered help you.
Nice work on the stairway. Master Bedroom next?
