A Couple I added yesterday:
One is a 10 oz. Maydole BP, one with the skinny flex handle. (not for serious beating..); Not sure of the age but MayDole was in Business for about 130 years, ending in 1957 after a fire. they tried to re-open the plant in 1961 but failed.
They were acquired by Mahew becoming Mayhew-Maydole in 1939, but the hammers retained the Maydole name as Maydole was apparently the largest hammer MFG, (at least during part of their history)
The marking History apparently went like this:
"The early marks will say Maydole, Norwich. Then, Maydole Cast Steel; then, Maydole Made in U.S.A.. After that, Maydole in large block letters, and finally Maydole in script letters."
So this one looks like the second to last marking iteration.
