I see your greenie bouncy thingy, but honestly, anyone who puts a SO label on a HF box probably gave his wife a knock off Coach bag and has a fake Rolex and not a good fake at that.

Or they have a sense of humor. :shocking:

I suppose. but one takes the chance that some friend who came by with the BIL saw it, said nothing and forever thinks that you have a problem.

No, not you, because you don't GAS, right? :)

People with out a sense of humor get all puckered about all kinds of things. You can't live your life worrying about that kind of person. :bounce:

its not the exact logo... looks close....not exact....can you tell?...

As long as you can convince a jury that you are not counter fitting their logo you are good to go!

Big companies contract with law firms to lay the smack down on anyone that infringes on their trademarks or copyrights. 9 times out of 10 you'll get a "stop what you're doing" letter and that will be it.

good luck!

11 drawer roller cabinet price has been reduced to $179.99. This does not require a coupon so you should be able to bundle it with the 20% off coupons for around $150.

The email I received said that it ends on August 31st.

Picked up my 13 drawer box the other day. $375 after tax. It fits on its back in the back of a 03' Tahoe. HF will load and remove crate in the Springs. They had 5 left when I picked mine up.

Great box, I dont know why I did'nt buy it sooner. If you're thinking about, just do it. You wont regret it.

Thanks everyone for the reviews!!

For the record, I'm not ashamed that my box came from HF. I changed mine to Craftsman so that it would match my other toolboxes.

LOL, are you guys that embarassed to be seen with HF stuff?
:D

Nope...I generally prefer to remove name brands from most of the things I've bought. I also remove the car dealer name stickers from my vehicles. I rarely ever wear t-shirts with brand logos either.

I am fine with buying brand-name stuff, once I have determined the brand-name product is the best for the price.

In this case, I'm going to be painting them a different color to match my shop and making custom (personalized) metal logos to rivet back on them. In my case, it is not a matter of being embarrassed about the HF, but that I ALWAYS prefer customized items.

They look pretty good on there!

Where'd you get those?

I just checked my box and you didn't get 'em off mine!

:D

You can get them from any Snap-On truck. They're a bit pricey but considering they just made my boxes costs 10x more... (ok, not really), but I've told all my friends that they were fake and they all got a kick out of it. I think people like them more KNOWING that they're fake then if they thought they were real, totally worth it as a conversational piece. I wish someone made one that said "strap-on" in the same design, I wonder if most people would even notice it, lol

Likewise, I usually strip stickers and decals off everything I buy no matter what brand it is. I like the clean, simple, and stealth look of stuff.

I know I have a separate thread regarding this but just wondered if any of you also have the 56" Harbor Freight box and how do you like it in comparison? I'm pulling the trigger on either two 42" or one 56". The price is the same with ITC coupon for the 56". Thanks.

now if someone would put HF badges on a SO box.... that would be cool, alot cheaper, and would prove you're not trying to brag about your box

That would be hilarious. You could have people check it out, play with it, and tell you how they don't think it's built very well, that craftsman boxes are nicer, snap on boxes are nicer, etc.

Would it be possible for anyone to tell me how wide the 13 drawer roller cabinet is without the side handle?

I see the spec is 44-3/4" W but it does not say if that is with or without the pull handle on the side, tried to search the posts but couldn't find it either, lots of talk about how high it is but nothing regarding the width.

Trying to find out if two of these puppies would fit underneath a Gladiator 8' workbench, any help is appreciated.

I haven't put my handles on, so Width is 42", Depth 18". Height with wheels on 39 5/8" and Height with wheels off 33 1/2". Nice box for the money and own two.

I love my 13 drawer roller cabinet. In addition I've added the side locker, top chest, and side drawer to 'Complete' the unit.

After a few months of owning it, I decided to make some modifications. I transferred the door handle from the side locker to the top chest to assist opening it. The size of the handle is suitable and fits great. Still not sure why US GEN. decided not to add a handle for the top chest. In all, I think this is a much better setup. Before, opening the top chest was a bit awkward without a gripping point.

And I used an extra handle as the replacement for the side locker handle that went to the top chest. This is visually and physically a MUCH better setup. The handle is large, beefy, and LOOKS GREAT compared to the supplied handle; now at the top chest.

Thanks to mechanicnamedjohn for the idea for the side cabinet handle.

Also, I've added a magnet to the side locker to keep the door closed because I do not use the lock and it was a PITA to keep turning the key to open the door.

I used super glue to fasten the maget and it is available at HF too! both i think.. lmao.

But seriously, the magnet works perfectly. It ***** the door closed. Great solution.

I was alone when I brought my 13 drawer home.....I had to drop mine off the back of the pickup as well. Survived without any damage!
Love the box....can't beat it for $349!

Scored me two boxes tonight! I've gotta go pick them up this weekend with the truck (I didn't see them fitting in the back of my H3) but they've got my name on them. Can't wait, just bought a new house and trying to get the garage set up for some airplane building (but that's another Oprah). These will make the perfect base for the main workbench (or roll underneath it, anyhow).

Thanks! I'm about 40 minutes away and contacted him about picking it up.

EXCELLENT. I went and checked them out in person...man, tough decisions! I could put the 28", 41" and 56" boxes to work...where to start :headscrat
