As for pictures if you guys can tell me what in particular you want to see I will try and shoot it. If you have see the 56" then you have seen the construction and quality of this box as it appears to be the same in every way I have checked.

Can you please lay the box on it's back and post a photo of the frame under the box?

While you have it on it's back, can you please post a photo of the casters?

I think those two photos alone would answer any questions people have about the number of casters and strength of the box design.

It maybe a bit easier for you to lay it on it's back by removing the drawers, but that could be a pain in the ****. Also, if you still have the cardboard the box was shipped in, it will be a good pad to lay the box on to prevent any scratches.

Wes, if my son was here I might think about giving that a shot but I think I am going to pass on trying to take that photo as I don't want yo risk damage trying to toss this onto it's back. I will take a photo of the casters tomorrow.

I've done it myself with the HF 41 and the Homak 44.

The 72 would be quite a handful to do on your own if you don't think it through, but if someone will buy and ship me one I'll get the photo for you

It wouldn't be difficult to use an inspection camera and get the best you can with that? maybe combine that with a floor jack. I'm sure you can see whatever you want to see from that, even if its not super high def with perfect lighting.

I assume the reason to look up the skirt is to see if there's mounting plates for more casters.

I would love to see how far the drawers extend. Im at a cross roads between this HF 72" and the Husky 66". And i talked to the homedepot people and they say I can use the HF 20% off coupon to order this.

Oh man. I can't find a way to fit the 72" in my garage and be able to get out of my truck once I pull it in. The 72" would come to the end of the ridgid wood support next to the 56". Exactly where I squeeze out of my truck once it is in the garage. I can't add the 72" to my 44" and 56" because I just don't have the room. Short of re-doing the garage in a major way come spring I am stuck right now. I wish the 72" didn't disappear for that 2yr period or whatever it was. I think I would only part with the 56" if I did find a way to get the 72" to fit. What would be a fair price for me to sell the 56" at? It is in excellent condition.

I absolutely agree. You don't understand the value till you sell it and realize you didn't pay that much to begin with.

I think $3000 is pretty common but you will see them for significsntly less or slightly more. You will still run out of space someday but its a ton more box than the HF

krl7022 list for 7k on snappys site so probly 5 with discounts on the truck but its not a 72 and its a 30inch deep the krl7023 is 72 and 30 deep its $9640.00 the closet in size and draw config is the kra2418 it is 5795.00 list

Ok, now that I've got in mostly loaded I can come up for air and post pictures. The ones I remembered to take that is. As you can probably tell, I was in desperate need of some storage. This is the cleanest that wall has been in ten years.

I'm impressed with the box, just like I was impressed with the 56's that several guys at work have. I hAve no doubt that it will last forever in my garage. The drawers are smooth, especially with a load and they open all the way out.

If you want any pictures that don't require laying it on it's back, let me know.

Do we know if they sell any of the drawers/slides separate from this if you call them direct? I know others have had success in getting additional drawers/slides for the 44...b/c if you could get additional slim drawers instead of some of those deep ones...this box becomes very, very tempting to me...

Here are some more pics to show drawer extension. With a drawer that is under a structural member there is about an inch and a half on the back covered, when it's another drawer above it is under a half inch. There is also a picture of the center underbelly, the structure is the same as the castor mounts on the end so a third set could be added. There aren't any holes so you could fit what you want.

Pls be reminded that the new casters you'll need are swivels as the fixed ones need to move to the middle.

Well, mine did arrive today. There was no additional lift gate charge so that was a bonus. The quality is the same as the 56" cabinet so no surprises there. The casters seem beefy but I will be using it a metal frame so I will have to store those until I can think of a future project for them.

It will be nice to have almost 52" in the large single drawer to store sockets etc. I started making a special socket and ratchet insert for the 56" cabinet but now seeing the drawer size I am going to modify my design to accommodate the larger drawer.

This will make a nice work surface for the hutch I am building.

Anyway someone could find out what the total Overall length of this box is with and without the handles? maybe Measure the handles if you could. I have maybe 74" to work with to fit a box and looking into getting one of these but not sure if I have enough room unless I take off the handles. Thanks

the fixed casters don't HAVE to be in the middle, it works just as well if not better if they're at one end

One advantage of no center casters would be preventing a "see-saw" effect when transitioning inclined surfaces. Think of going up a small ramp or driveway and then back onto a level floor.

A couple more things I've noticed since getting my box. Some of the drawers need to be closed firmly otherwise when I lock the box they don't get locked. One drawer does not line up properly with the hole for the spring lock. I have to lift that drawer up to make it "pop" in. So I will have to trim the bottom of the hole so it auto locks correctly.

Otherwise, so far I'm totally happy with my purchase!

According to him, his store is on the larger end of a 'medium' HF store. They only ever have the one (display model) 56" bottom & top boxes in stock. They stock several 44's but they (HF management & store managers) have gone back & forth whether to continue having the 56's in stock a few times due to floor space.

All that is important because that info was told to me after I asked if he had seen or when they will carry the 72" in store. He made it seem unlikely that store or most would get it in stock to look at. He also had no definite answer if the 72 would get a top.

Just thought I'd pass it along hope it's helpful.

Got the same reaction from the manager of the store nearest me. He didn't even know they had them to start. I had him look up the email on his phone and showed it to him. He blurted out "I'd never get one of those.." I was like, what??!! Are you actually bad mouthing your own stuff right to my face? Then he clarified his statement by saying "I don't have the floor space for that".
