They make the instincts in HH, I just bought myself a set 2 months ago. Anyways since my dealer didn't start until late august, I'm guessing hes not going to have this deal..

Yes, I have the instincts already. They made a short run of the original HH's labeled with "Snap-on Racing" but, they must have run out.

Yeap. I picked up a spare 5/16 core handle while I was on the truck. I didn't get it drilled perfectly straight but you can only really tell if you put it on a straight edge. and for $20 a handle I think I'll live with it

The new ones are smaller than the screwdriver handles and not sure if i'm really digging it. But since the 3/8s was $67 I'll be ok. The larger screwdriver handle does feel more natural though.

Your guy have a lot of replacement hard handles? Colors?

You mean theres gonna be one?...with these same kind of hard handles?

Yes for Christmas of 2011 there will be hard handle
Screw drivers for sale as a promotion. My dealer did not know anything more about it than that. He ordered it like 6 months ago and forgot the details. I hope they are like the old ones.

You can order lots of colors from the Snap-On website... but a little pricey is an understatement. :yikes:

For example a red hard handle with 1/4" core is $18.95 when you can buy the whole instinct screwdriver for less than that.

mrshaun was kind enough to post all hard handle part numbers in this thread:

Here are the model numbers for the micro boxes that came with the special hard handle ratchet deal.

Only the black model# brings up anything at the Snap-On site, $79.99.

boy oh boy did i get the run around from my dealer. i bought both of the green ratchets and received nothing. just a few weeks ago was the ratchet/jacket promo so i should have at least got a jacket.

he claimed to have not ordered any of the micro boxes because none of the ones he had bought in previous deals sold. so odds are i will probably end up with a red one being that he said he still has a half dozen of them at home.

also, he is loaded with green, red and orange ratchets still. i would be willing to pick them up as long as he does the toolbox promo and sell the ratchets at cost and actual shipping for someone if they want

That's sad. If he doesn't come through with a green box, pm me. I've got a few on order coming to me.

I dont want to start a thread just for this question but did 8 pcs hard handle screwdriver sets ever come with the plain Snap On "USA" handles or did they always have the part numbers...SDD2, etc, etc?

Seen a couple sets for sale advertised as new but look to all have the "USA" replacement handles you can order now except for the stubbies.

I tipped my driver off on the hard handle/micro box deal last week. If he remembers, he will set aside my green goodies.

My dealer couldn't remember the details of the two ratchet and box promo and hemmed and hawed long enough to get the Xmas flyer yesterday and tried to sell me the three pc set for near $190. No thanks. He also told me he was just going to sell the coats from the ratchet and coat promo separately as well. You'd think he'd at least sell at promo prices when his customers know about the promo...

yea i just heard about the ratchet/coat promo today, i guess the coat is just like the last one but without the hood...

anyway, I posted earlier saying my dealer was unaware of the micro box/hard handle ratchet promo and he said he had a couple micro boxes at home from previous promos... so he brought them in and he had a white one and a blue one, ok I'll buy both. christmas is coming up. so he says the blue is 79.99 and the white is 89.99... so he opens the box with the white label. and it was this...

I still don't get why anyone would want a micro box but to each his own. It's like a die cast car for me, not gonna make me any money and it's not a tool.

I have heard people use them as jewelry boxes.

Guy next door to me picked one up for his wife to use as a jewelry box. I shot the same idea past my wife, and she told me NO, NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

My wife took mine the second she saw it to use as a jewelry box but never got around to it so i swiped it back. But at least it got her off my back the day i bought the promo set. :bounce:
