I used to run a tow truck back in the day, I was always getting vehicles with no title so I would just scrap them, I did some work on a Plymouth fury with two fours on it, the guy said nobody could sync them, I did a full tune up and set the carbs and took a beautiful 61 ford pickup in for my labor, waited forever for the title, cleaned out the cars and the truck and scrapped them, a week later the title for the truck came in the mail, I was pissed!

Been back at the lodge, Pat has been painting her heart out.
Got the woman's bathroom painted.
What it did look like!
I got the big room painted, next is the lobby and men's bathroom.
I picked up the trim and baseboards Sunday!

Kay, Kirk, They kind of let me run my own race down there.
When it comes to things like the drywall and paint I would rather they not help. Pat and I work hand in hand, never a problem with us, I'll let the bil do certain things, on a short leash. When it comes to stripping and waxing the floors and cleaning the furniture and moving it back in place, all of the grunt work the guys will gladly handle the heavy work. I have three other lodges that have contacted me with offers to do the heavy lifting Also. The heavy lifting is what kills me.
Jayman, Pat picked the colors and did a great job, there are four colors now, before there were two! I love the blue. And yes I will be glad to get done, I'm swamped between the lodge, building trikes and taking them to shows, we are still remodeling our home, and organizing the car show for the lodge coming in September, I rented the fair grounds and the show barn last week for that, we spent the day today visiting sponsors and collecting donations for the car show!
I did get a chance to paint the first load of baseboards early this morning before me and the bil hit the road.

I can't remember if I posted a Pic of the desk that we went to Georgia and picked up last week, it's very close to the style of my desk. I got all of the A/C vents back from powder coat also, they were a dirty tan, They did them in bright white.

There's two Brants in NY that I know of. Brant Lake which is in the Adirondacks. And Brant which is in Western NY, southish of Buffalo. Brant Lake is not that far from me. Like in the next county. My kids went to scout camp there. Brant is like 350 miles from me.

Ok it's the 350 mile one. I got the best neighbors in the world, and I can't wait til these guys get here to join the crowd! Rebecca just retired from the state police and Jeff works in a body shop restoring old vehicles! I needed a good painter in my hood!
We worked on the yard until 11:00, then I had to meet a customer and sell him some trike parts, then we went to the lodge and started painting.
I helped her cut in around the edges then Pat rolled the white on the top half.
I painted all of the baseboards and trim.
Going to build another trike tomorrow!

Jim, when I first read that I thought you worked on the yard until long after dark. Instead you worked on the other stuff until long after dark. I'm thinking you don't get paid enough.

Had to run errands Wednesday,
Got to work on the lodge yesterday.
I had to pad out the Jambs and trimmed these two doors.
This is an exit door, they never trimmed it out, just ran the paneling up to the opening. It always looked out of place, all three doors are in the same room, they needed to match!
I cut extension jambs and added door trim, my ocd is happy now.
I'm going to Donnies today, we got a parts delivery yesterday for trike parts, so we're going to get some work done there today.

I been busier than a one armed paper hanger this week, we had another storm and I have limbs everywhere, the grass needs mowing, the lodge is on hold for me altho Pat has been going there and getting things done. I've been in the shop getting trikes ready for the pigeon forge rod run.

I finished the dual tip exhaust and got it installed today, it has a good deep tone to it and after a little tweaking I gained 9 mph, using the speedo on my phone it ran 39 mph.
It's got a HEMI!
We got the new 3000W electric trike done, we added baskets between the rear wheels and a trailer hitch so we can pull our utility wagon inside at shows, I'm not toting all that **** in and out with a two wheeled dollie anymore!

We buy predators from HF and got this hemi in the mix, they are the same part number as the other motor. So far the only way we can determine what motor we are buy is to open the box and look at the valve cover, hemis have a cast aluminum cover, standard motors have a stamped steel cover, even the employees can't tell the difference! The problem is the parts for the hemi that we have to change are more than double the price!

I got lucky yesterday, Leroy stopped by the lodge and I put him to work nailing while I cut. He got so excited that he volunteered to come back today and nail again. Might actually make some good progress!

Kirk, 2 done, 1 more to go. I finished the stall dividers and the shoe molding in three rooms this morning and started on #3 after lunch, 2:30. I kept making mistakes so at 6:30 I called it quits. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to do math and angles!

We spent all day yesterday passing out car show flyers at 3 different car shows, we were going to take the trikes, I'm glad we didnt.
I got the third riser done Friday.
Got the walls in the mens room mudded and sanded, Pat is going to start painting the room tomorrow.
We worked on the backdrop in the main room today.
When it's done there will be blue draps in there.

Wasn't feeling well so it slowed me down a bunch but still got a bit done.
I have Donnie making a set of square and compasses to go in the corners.

Going to Sam's in a bit to get food and supplies for the car show, then back to work!

The Doc has changed some of my meds around and he said to expect a period of adjustment, but I think something else snuck in the back door when I wasn't looking, my guts were in terrible shape.
Spent yesterday and today on the road chasing food and supplies. Hopefully I will get back to work tomorrow!
We have the car show Sept 7th
I have to be in Pigeon Forge September 12,13,14th to sell trikes.
Sept. 9th we have a school of instruction to prepare for the 27th
Then we have our official visit Sept 27th, the lodge has to be finished for this event, we get graded on lodge condition!
Then Oct 3,4,5th is the world's longest yard sale,

Went to Pigeon Forge last Wednesday and set up the trikes. We sold every kit and welded frame we had in four hours Thursday morning.
Working on two different men that want dealerships, one in W. Texas and one in Biloxi.
Sold eight more welded frames to a Man in Kentucky, he wants to pick them up this Friday!
Got a few ideas from some of the other folks,
How do you stop 5000 street Rodders cold in there tracks!
Play the National Anthem at Noon every day, not one person moved until it was done then they cheered and applauded loudly!
Ran into some old friends and made a bunch of new ones!
Saw lots of cool stuff, they drive these on the street in Pigeon forge!
I have to build 28 kits, 8 welded frames and 2 more turn-key trikes to take to the Emerald coast cruise in, in Panama city Florida November 7th.
The two turn-key will be a modified version of this electric trike, were going to drop the backbone down like a girls bike so folks can step through instead of throwing there leg over. We had several folks with bad knees that are interested but couldn't get on easily!
It's going to be busy here for a while!
