LOL... I used to get calls to remove snakes from yards... we had a 6 foot long rat snake with an attitude and a liking to swim in pools. People actually standing on patio furniture.

Literally just tossed out the METAL birdfeeder our bear CRUSHED.

We added 8 outdoor cameras after that morning visit.

NO WAY would I be on the ground with a bear near... Heck... I don't even like sitting on the patio when our bucks walk within 10 feet. Those points look awfully sharp.

Them 6' rat snakes and corn snakes arnt the problem. It is the 6' timber rattler that was in Jason's attached garage that give me the Willie's. He said he killed 14 copper heads and timber rattlers this summer.
I have always been told that rat snakes and pit vipers dont like to cohabitate so I let the rat snakes stay.

Local guy... out with his girlfriend... on a back road (a long one)... sees a snake coiled in the road... it's a rattlesnake... he gets out of his vehicle (apparently to poke it with a stick)(apparently to get it off the road).

They landed the helicopter about a mile away to air lift him to Atlantic City to get anti venom.

I know his brother... who clearly states... yea he's an idiot.

HJ your lighted wreath makes it look like Christmas at your place. Hope you don't let your bil drag you into building a house, that might cut into your shop time just a bit. :wtf:

We have found out we have a breeding pair of king snakes. We have found those little guys all over. At least poisonous snakes should no longer be a issue.

I can promise you that I wont be there. She has caused a riff in the family and I wont be part of it.

A king snake can cause a person to hurt themselves. There is an old saying,
red touch yellow kill a fellow- red touch black venom lack.
But I'm not hanging around to inspect colors.
I got started on the next Christmas present today. It's for a Niece's 3 kids.

Jim,
Seeing wood in a fab shop reminds me of a welder who used to work for me.
He kept wood dowel rods in his hot box for anytime I had him fix something for the pattern shop.

It was funny the first couple times.

Boards are looking good!

I hadn't thoroughly cleaned the shop since I did the wreath and the welder is still in the main shop with the gazebo so I thought I would slip one more in before the big clean Terry.
Thanks Lis trying to add some Christmas to some little ones. We get them each a gift but they got a new big back yard this year so we get to add obstacles to daddy's mowing duties. Lol

Got a little more done today.
I finished assembly on all four pieces. Did a rough sand with 80 grit on the angle grinder. Filled all of the seams and nail holes with bondo. Did another sand with 100 grit on the palm sander. Inspected and marked blemishes with a pencil. Put on a second round of bondo. I banked the wood burner full and throttled it back so it should hold heat all night.

HJ, great idea on the ******** games for a Christmas present. Those are going to turn out nice. What are the plans for paint/designs?
A friend of mine has a ******** game, that is an easy way to kill a few hours while drinking beer. :D

Jay I lucked out in that I decided to make these and was researching the size and weight of the bags, which is 6"x 6" and two scoops of corn, I think it was one lb.
Amazon had a cyber monday sale. I got them for eight dollars per set.

This one is for us to keep at home

This one is for the kids.
I bought some paint to match but haven't decided on patterns yet

I got sidetracked today, I sold my mini chopper to Gavin, he is Daltons son and he really wanted it so I let him have it.
The back fender was plastic and was broken so I told him I would make him one from steel since the seat is so small you are basically sitting on the fender and it was a safety issue.
I cut the bottom off of an old 20 gal propane tank and split it in half.

Split it in half

Cut the center out

The radius was too small so I split it every two inches and took it to the anvil

Tacked together for fitting

Made mounting tabs

My youtube channel just shows various animals that show up in my yard. Deer... Opossum, a red fox... I have a video of a vulture swooping thru my yard but The Mrs won't let me post it because she agrees... the bird looks just like her sister.

HJ, that's a pretty slick use of an old propane tank. How do you fill in the gaps created by the slits in the side?

Working on the bike fender again today. Dalton cut me some wedges to fill the gaps in the pie cuts. Had to move the fender mounts a couple of times to locate the fender in a decent looking position and a cutout for the chain to clear

Dalton made some video so I had to get one of him, he is picking up the metal working stuff really fast. He makes me proud.

That's about as far as I'm going tonight, Dalton went home and I'm getting hungry.
Thanks Guys for checking in on me
