How do we qualify?
:see:
As noted below details to follow.

We're about a month away from Epstein's Day so let's get some boring administrative things out of the way:

1.
If you haven't placed an order with us in a while you might try logging into the site. We upgraded to Shopify but old accounts seem to have a problem logging in. I can take care of it real quick, but you just have to reach out and let me know you're having a problem.

2. If you've never placed an order with us you need to create an account on our website (don't worry we don't send a bunch of annoying emails). After you've done that message me (either on GJ or email) and I'll add you to the Garage Journal Super Secret Discount Club.

3. T-shirts are being made by a generous donation from Wright Tool. We're also doing koozie's this year that are sponsored by Malco. Much more deals and discounts to come. I'll work everything out in the next week so stay tuned for more details.

By buying a certain amount of Wright tools. I think it was $150 last year.
Yeah, which makes sense since Wright has donated to HJE for the shirts and giveaways. I’ll have to remember to make sure I meet the Wright limit to get that shirt. I’m three for three regarding HJE shirts and want to keep the trend going.

Well, here's a neato item I just spotted at the website. I've got these cutters without the comfort handles, and then the same kind of thing but with a mildly angled head and these comfort grips. Both are great.

Fair price! If you have large hands, you owe it to yourself to try the "multi component" grips when you buy Knipex.

Are you able to share any info about the Wright coffee mugs? Usually I don’t buy Wright from you just because a local place I like to support carries them but to get a coffee mug I’d make an exception!

They sent us three. Haven't figured out what to do with them yet.

Is there a way to see the discounted items?

I should finish adding in the discounts today. Each discount on groups of items will have a code that you can enter at checkout. Shopify is a little weird about how it does discounts so this is the best way I could come up with this year. Will be publishing them all later today so stay tuned.

Epstein's Day 2024 FAQ:

  • "When is it?" ⏰
    • Epstein's Day will officially start on Thursday (07/04) and go through Monday (07/08) which means it begins 12:01 central time for those that like to get their orders in early. (Note: People like to order early since we do run out of stuff, such as t-shirts, so if you're hoping to snag some swag it pays to get that order in)
  • "How do I get those sweet sweet GJ prices?" 🎰
    • Create an account on our website then message me your email address so I can add you to the group.
    • If you've already done this in years past you don't need to do it again.
    • If you're unsure if you've done this, just ask and I can tell you if you're signed up.
    • There are discount codes this year so be sure to enter them at checkout!
  • "How long does it take for me to get my order?" 📫
    • Since we are about to be flooded with orders it takes us longer than normal to process everything so please be patient. We will work as fast as we can.
  • "What is box art?"🖼️
    • We have a team of people that LOVE to draw on boxes. If you want your box painted send a request in the comments box such as, "Box Art" or if you want to be more specific you can say, "I'd like a chipmunk on the moon lighting its farts on fire". Keep in mind if you ask for a picture of your dog we don't know what your dog looks like. Be as vague or specific as you want, but box art does make it take longer. Probably a week. Also, it's free so you can't complain if you hate it.
    • I'm pretty sure if you checkout with Paypal there is no way to send a comment so you'll have to email us your request but it's possible this has changed ([email protected])
  • "I am so excited to tell you what shirt size I wear but I don't know how?"🙋‍♂️
    • If you qualify for an Epstein's T-shirt you need to tell us your shirt size. You can do that in the comments box, but like before, if you're checking out with PayPal you might need to send us an email to let us know.
  • "What about the deals this year?" 💵
    • Anyone that orders $100 in Wright Tool merchandise, will get the official 2024 Epstein's Day T-shirt (while supplies last). The t-shirt is designed by my part-time pancake flipper full-time fiance Kimmon who will also be drawing on some of the boxes. If you don't qualify but still want a shirt you can buy one for $30. I'll post them online once they're ready. (You don't need to add them to the cart if you qualify. Also customers who do qualify have first dibs on the shirts.
    • Anyone that orders $200 in Wright Tool merchandise will also receive our Dee-Lux US made Koozie which I will post a pic of when it arrives.
    • Norseman is hosting the 2024 Epstein's Day Raffle. If you buy $50 of Norseman stuff you will be qualified to enter. This year there's a first, second and third place prize and the contest may or may not involve a shotgun. First place gets a 29 Piece Vortex Drill Bit Set. Second place gets a Moly 15 Piece Drill Bit Set and Third Place gets a J-15 High Speed Drill Bit Set.
    • UPDATE UPDATE - If you buy $50 worth of Wera you will be entered into the Wera raffle which will get you a 73 piece electrician's tool set  which you can get all the details of here. We only have one of them so it's winner takes all on this one.
    • UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE - AMH is now sending us two 1/4 ton mini ratchet lever chain hoists to give away. Buy any AMH product to qualify.
    • Shopify allows you 5 discount codes per order so I have arranged our discounts in groups that each have their own secret code which you can put in when you are checking out.
      • 5% off Channellock and Eagle Grips (LP7R, LP7WC, LP10R, LP10WC) - "She sells seashells by the sea shore"
      • 10% off a certain Japanese company that makes ratchets and sockets - "Kilroy was here"
      • 20% off AMH chain hoists of all types as well as the C926 Lufkin NOS Tape Measure "with his own petard"
      • 25% off of Grayvik, Warwood and a US made knife company that starts with a T - "We don't need no stinking badgers"
      • 50% off of closeout rules from PEC (not the grooved ones) - "The octopus spawns at midnight"
    • Caption Contest! Come up with the best caption for this photo of Clem and you will win $50.00 off your order courtesy of NUTTSGT and HJE. Also, and this is still in the works, we may be able to make gold enamel pins of the kitty in question and the caption right underneath him. Please include your entry in the comments box.
      IMG_0698.jpg

    • We also have stickers from Channellock, Council Tool, Westling and Wright so anyone that orders that stuff will get free stickers.
    • We also hand out trophies for: The largest Epstein's Day Order, Best Box Art Request, Best Epstein's Day Comment, as well as Best Poem since people have taken to writing us poems for some reason.
    • We will most likely get last-minute deals and offerings and I will update this post as needed.
    • One last thing. If someone with a decoder ring can decode this secret message and post a video of the answer here in this thread, we will hand out one free mystery prize to everyone that participates this year as well as a special price to the first person that decodes it.

Looking forward to Epstein's Day 2024; for me it's not about the discounts, free items rather this is great to support a small family owned business along with supporting domestic manufacturing as well.

Special thanks to Wright Tools as well for the shirts.

Yes, the cart refreshes often. The old website dumped the cart as well.

However the new wish list seems to be functioning properly and holding everything I’ve added so far. That little heart icon takes you to your wish list.

FWIW since I changed to the new site, my cart seems to be behaving properly. The 4th seems so long away though.

On a positive note, the website is blazing fast! Searches are instant even when I have it set to display 200 results. Wishlist for me has been flawless.
