^ Well..... from MY point of view, there wasn't really a lot to see in Spokane, but all my time spent there was out knocking on doors when I was peddling stuff as an independent factory agent.
There's a "River Walk" in the downtown area - a promenade of sorts that runs along the Spokane River.
I always ate dinner at Luigi's.
The "Davenport Hotel" was the big "nightlife hotspot", but that was a long time ago.
Economy is primarily agricultural, so .... a far cry from Rush Street in Chicago or Market Street in San Francisco. ;)

I lived briefly in Olympia WA and so I had to drive through Tacoma on my way to Seattle, which is probably why I had Tacoma on the brain.

Summer hats just arrived

As a hat snob, I gotta know. Is the bill on the hat flexible? I looked into the company that makes them, and all the styles they showed seemed to be more of the old style flat bill type hats. These hats look more like a Richardson brand (I know they're not) and I really like them!

Yeah, on both hats you can bend the bill to a curve.

Wera Raffle prizes showed up. Also expecting some US made aluminum folding carts to arrive AND that Felo deal shipped out, the bulk of which should be online right before the big day. New summer hats and T-shirts are in production and should be here next week. I went with yellow so I apologize to everyone that doesn’t like yellow shirts but it worked best with the new design. Will post images as soon as they’re done.:willy_nil
Yellow sounds good to me! I wear my yellow 'kid in a candy store shirt' all the time!

Has anybody ever tried these pliers?

1747504924994.png

Late reply, but yes, I have a couple.

Hard to tell in the pics, but I think this is the stacked plate version. They are better than most locking pliers. Adjusting the grip pressure instead of the jaw opening is an incredible feature.

Pretty sure these are an evolution of the LeverWrench. I'm guessing Jorgensen acquired the assets of the Leverage Tool Company at some point. The older LeverWrenchs are by far the best locking pliers I have ever used, and I have quite a collection of locking pliers. I wish they still made them.

Felo arrived today. 4 pallets. I think the best thing to do is to put them online Thursday night since some of the stuff is lower quantities. Will keep you updated. Lots of bits, screwdrivers and pliers.

My financial advisor (wife) and I finally agree to a $250 Epstein Day budget and then Jori posts this...

Quick where it's made FELO video. FELO Production

Is there a code that we have to enter, and when can we start placing orders?
Before we begin I just want to let everyone know it's been really nice reading through the comments about my dad and I'm sure he'd appreciate everything that was said about him. He taught me everything I know about the business, and I know he would be proud of this new deal I managed to pull together, which is now official. We bought a bunch of pallets of Felo, mostly ratcheting screwdriver sets, screwdrivers and pliers. This isn't overstocks or weird liquidation that didn't sell. It's a long list of mostly good stuff that just happened to need a home. It should arrive in a few weeks, but it's a lot, so it might take us time to get it online but it will happen before the big day. Speaking of....

Epstein's Day 2025 FAQ:

  • "When is it?" ⏰
    • Epstein's Day will officially start on Friday (07/04) and go through Monday (07/07) which means it begins 12:01 central time for those that like to get their orders in early. (Note: People like to order early since we do run out of stuff, such as t-shirts, so if you're hoping to snag some swag it pays to get that order in)
  • "How do I get those sweet sweet GJ prices?" 🎰
    • Create an account on our website then message me your email address so I can add you to the group.
    • If you've already done this in years past you don't need to do it again.
    • If you're unsure if you've done this, just ask and I can tell you if you're signed up.
    • There are discount codes this year so be sure to enter them at checkout!
  • "How long does it take for me to get my order?" 📫
    • Since we are about to be flooded with orders it takes us longer than normal to process everything so please be patient. We will work as fast as we can.
  • "What is box art?"🖼️
    • We have a team of people that LOVE to draw on boxes. If you want your box painted send a request in the comments box such as, "Box Art" or if you want to be more specific you can say, "I'd like a spaceship that looks like an El Camino flying over the moon". Be as vague or specific as you want, but box art does make it take longer. Probably a week. Also, it's free so you can't complain if you hate it.
    • I'm pretty sure if you checkout with Paypal there is no way to send a comment so you'll have to email us your request but it's possible this has changed ([email protected])
  • "I am so excited to tell you what shirt size I wear but I don't know how?"🙋‍♂️
    • If you qualify for an Epstein's T-shirt you need to tell us your shirt size. You can do that in the comments box, but like before, if you're checking out with PayPal you might need to send us an email to let us know.
  • "What about the deals this year?" 💵
    • Anyone that orders $100 in Wright Tool merchandise, will get the official 2025 Epstein's Day T-shirt (while supplies last). The t-shirt is designed by my part-time pancake flipper full-time fiance Kimmon (and expectant mother) who will also be drawing on some of the boxes. If you don't qualify but still want a shirt you can buy one for $30. I'll post them online once they're ready. (You don't need to add them to the cart if you qualify. Also customers who do qualify have first dibs on the shirts.
    • Anyone that orders $200 in Wright Tool merchandise will also receive our Dee-Lux US made Koozie which we have left over from last year.
    • If you buy $50 worth of Wera you will be entered into the Wera raffle which will get you... (see further down in thread)
    • If you buy $50 in Wilde you will be entered into a Wilde raffle for a pair of 10" wilde groove joint pliers. We have a number of them so will be second and third place as well.
    • AMH gave us a deal on their 1/4 ton mini ratchet lever chain hoists at $125.00. These are made in China though. They do have hoists that have US chain and other US stuff, but it's the larger sizes and I just didn't think they'd be as popular because shipping those things is expensive. Use discount code: Red Rover to get the special price.
    • Discounts are simplified this year and are currently active so you should be able to see it today if you're all signed up. The discount code: Spatula Citywhich will get you:
      • 10% off Channellock - Also if you order any Channellock we got a bunch of merch from them we'll thrown in. The more you order, the more we'll throw in.
      • 10% off Wright Tool
      • 10% off Magnolia
      • 10% off Eklind
      • 10% off closeouts
    • We also hand out trophies for: The largest Epstein's Day Order, Best Box Art Request, Best Epstein's Day Comment, as well as Best Poem since people have taken to writing us poems for some reason.
    • Typically there are last minute deals as well so stay tuned...

100% cotton. Made in the US. They're pretty accurate. I wear a medium which is what's shown in the pic.

If they're the Bella you've used the last couple of years, I find they're a bit narrow in the shoulders and tight in the arms. I have an unsually wide shoulder girdle (I'm 6', with a 6'4" wingspan, almost all the surplus is between the clavicles) , and some upper back muscles, and it pulls the sleeve back. the XXL is better, but since I lack the belly they expect the wearer to have, I'm swimming in excess fabric. if you have less freakish skeletal structure, the fit is pretty good. if you've got big upper arms, the sleeves are probably going to be tight. if you're muscular, that can be a good look. They are very well made, and reasonably durable.

(I've had a bunch of them, as it's a popular brand for low volume print runs (swag) and custom printers. I've got opinions about shirts, because they rarely fit well.)

So I didn’t get as far as I would’ve liked with the Felo stuff but you try sorting fancy German screwdrivers in an unconditioned warehouse and see how far you get. I got most of the pliers and the sets but there’s still a ton of screwdrivers and bits I’ll add later. There’s also lots of 1’s and 2’s of things that are going to sit on a shelf in the store so for you local guys you can stop by and rummage.

I’m publishing what we got at midnight (central time) tonight. Remember Epstein’s Day starts at midnight central time (the one true time). I’m sorry East Coasters but that’s the way it is. The pliers will be a good deal but we’ll really have great prices on the screwdriver and bits when they become available.

Anyway, everybody have a happy Fourth of July and a great Epstein’s Day!
