... especially where you sourced all the spare parts
As a base I was looking for a complete one in good condition as
most spare parts are not readily available.
Rust was ok, a few bumps and scratches were ok.
But not ok would be missing old Continental wheels or missing silver fillers or too rusty chrome pillars.
The only mistake I made: without a key - I was hoping to find out the key profile somehow myself

(anyone with H236?)

(rusty original top before)
The only spare parts I have used are:
- chrome chain 31 links per pair for Assistent 166 N, from HAZET, EAN 004447
- rubber profile with (unused) black filler for Assistent 166 N, from HAZET, EAN 004270
- 2 hubcaps (from a 125mm no name wheel) for the inside of the wheels (the better original inner side is now outside, see photo)
- some new stainless steel bolts and nuts
- a big rubber mat for the inner compartments (similar to the original rubber mat above)
Everything else was bulged, stripped of paint or sanded, phosphated, primed, painted - some metal parts polished (the original rivets at the top too, the chrome nameplate was rotated because there was more rust on top) - plastic parts cleaned and carefully polished. 2 1/2 months of work in winter - while my vintage cars slept... so let's see what I restore next winter...
regards,
