I'm really wondering how long they'll keep my order open for...at some point, they'll have to either fulfill it or close it, right? It's almost a game to me now to see how long it'll take them to fulfill an order.

Me too, I think I can outlast them. Seriously, if it gets to 6 months they should do something.

I know, right? I'm honestly still shocked that in this day-and-age of same-day shipping with an emphasis on order fulfillment, proposed drone delivery, etc. that a company as large as Home Depot can still be out of stock of ANYTHING for multiple months and it not be a glitch or intentional oversight. That said, I'll wait as long as they want. No sweat of my back. At some point, when it's just been a ridiculous period of time, I'll e-mail them again.

Still nothing on my end.

Any chance you could share how many you ordered and the order date/time? I don't even feel like they're fulfilling these in the order they were received.

Well, then again, you sit back and remember that HD allowed one of the single biggest data breaches of all time last year and it all seems about right. :willy_nil

Jan 15th at 9:59 AM EST for 2 lights...so clearly not in the order they were received.

NorthNjWK, I'm near Flemington in Central NJ...It'll be interesting to see if we get ours at a similar time given the location. Have you gotten a shipping notice yet?

Mine arrived today. I did leave a pretty nasty review after the last time I chatted with HD online. Maybe they actually read those things.

If I were you guys I'd contact customer service and see if they will cancel the order and reinstate it and maybe that will get things rolling. I know sometimes batches of orders that came in at the same time will get screwed up for no reason where I work. Our CS girls just cancel them and reenter them manually to correct it.

I know sometimes batches of orders that came in at the same time will get screwed up for no reason where I work. Our CS girls just cancel them and reenter them manually to correct it.

I contacted customer service and got a "team leader." She looked into it more, and apparently the vendor never had a PO number for me. Hence my order would've probably sat indefinately.

She said they were trying to clear out back-orders next week, but never was clear on whether my order was one of those, or if b/c I had no PO, I was essentially at the back of the line.

Her offers to make it right were:
Drive to a store over an hour away and buy them there, and she'd give me a gift card for 15% off ($39.99 - 15% = $33.99, which is still $9.00 more per light) -Pass
Pick out another light and she'd give me 20% off. The other ones in the $25 price range are really crappy...no reflector, or shorter, etc. The ones comparable with this one are $50 or more. Pass.
Cancel my order, and she'd notify me when they were in stock again. Given that this is likely at the $39.97 price point - PASS!

I basically said that none of these options were OK as I'd essentially have to pay more for the same light or pay the same for an inferior light. I also asked why simply fulfilling my order at the price I paid wasn't an option. We'll see what she says. I have her actual e-mail and her direct phone line, so we'll see.

At this point, I'm thinking that there is a strong likelyhood that I'll simply cancel my order. I appreciate her efforts, but you have to have balls to tell someone who has waited 2.5 months for an item that it hasn't been delivered due to a technical error on their end, and then offer them restitutions that basically equate to them having to pay more for the same item.

So she responded to my concerns, and said they'd give me $15% off the $25/light price I paid. She's sending me a $45 gift card, and canceling my order, then I will re-order to buy online-pick up in-store. The $45 basically takes the $39.99 price x 2 lights and makes it $22/light (15% off of the $25 originally).

I'll take that deal. A lot of effort for lights I was buying just for the deal, but she at least worked to make it right.

Anyone find a source for longer link cables? Surely this plug is some kind of standard. I'm trying to evenly space a 3 x 3 grid without adding 6 more outlets.

I'm looking for the same thing with the two lights I have mounted under my wall cabinets.

They look to be 3 prong notebook plugs. Don't know if there is anything premade, you may need to buy two and splice them together.

I'd bet you're going to have to contact them too...Basically, there were a bunch of orders that were never assigned a PO with the distributor. So in essence, Home Depot is waiting for the vendor to fill the order, and the vendor doesn't know it has an order to fill.

Have you actually tried those adapters yet?

I ask because I have a laptop that uses those "Mickey Mouse" style plugs on it's power adapter and i tried sizing it with the LED Lamp and it wouldn't fit. Maybe the laptop power supply is a size IEC C5.5 or something.

Just tried my own laptop power cord. I can power the laptop from the cord included with the lights but not the other way around. The laptop C5 connector is similar but slightly bulkier.

This is the closest I've found. I ordered one of these to test out when I ordered some LED tube lights from the same seller. The valley between the two "ears" doesn't seem to fit quite right, but I think with some filing it could work.

Got a cancellation email this morn. They say they're sending me $5 GC. Trying to contain my enthusiasm.

I paid w an e-gift card which I no longer have....not sure how I'm gonna get my credit back? (It was immediately deducted from the card when I ordered).

I got my cancellation notice as well. Contacted the service rep I've been working with all along on this...she's giving me $40 extra so I can go to a local store with them in-stock and get the equivalent of the $25/light deal.

Before you guys go rushing out to try and get this matched, I've been in contact with them for over a month now and had to eventually get a supervisor to start looking into this. We had a deal in place if the vendor couldn't fulfill the order since last week, so it's not like this was a new thing.

This whole thing has been a huge fiasco...missing PO numbers, a vendor who can't provide stock to save their life, HD's horrible inventory management, etc. Truth is, I might just use my $40 on something else at this point. We'll see I guess.

I received a cancellation email this morning too. Supposed to be sending a GF for $5. Definitely not impressed with HD's inventory management. I would think a company of this size would have their **** together. I will try and find another LED shop light, probably from another retailer.

I bought a couple different version of these cheap LEDs.... they just don't put out enough light. I ended up going with the double T8 lights.... You just can't beat em for the money.

Maybe next year there will be an affordable LED shop light that actually puts out enough light...

Can someone compare these lights to the Costco ones? I won't get the crazy deals on either, just wondering how the design and output compare? Thanks!

Got my "cancellation" email on 4/7/15 and then the piddly $5 token gift card notice in another email. I've yet to receive that $5 gift card in mail.

I decided couple days ago, to call and raise hell and see what they'd do since another GJer had gotten $45 gift card. Well the HD.com phone rep gave me the same spcheel story that they've "done all they can" the last 3 months but can't fill the order, even though I have found stock in local store.

I kept pressing her and escalated to a supervisor. She put me on hold for around 15 more minutes and claimed spvsr couldn't come to phone and no way to fulfill order even though nearby store had qty 5 on hand. I badgered her some more and requested further escalation to the Spvsr's Manager !! ;)

Again, same spscheel where I was on hold another 15 minutes but no Mgr would get on phone and talk with me. After over an hour on the phone, I ripped into her Tasmanian Devil style that I expected ACTION . . . either bigger gift card than measly $5 . . . or they fulfill the order with a local store at $25 price, OR . . preferably they send me $45 gift card for my trouble AND wasting my time on phone for over an hour.

Eventually, she fell back to same spscheel that she had "no authority" to take any action, and she forwarded my call to HD Corporate Care at around 75 minute of call duration !!! I had to re-tell the whole story to next rep which I thought was HD Corp. Instead it was just another location of HD.com (this one Ogden, UT whereas first beyotch was Tuscon, AZ). Lady in Ogden talked with her spvsr and within 10 minutes had email sent to me with another $45 electronic gift card !! :D

I'll be using the $45 E-gift card and convincing local HD store to price match the $25 price. Hope it goes well when I drive across town for those lights !!

So they gave you enough to cover the difference after you were berated them for over an hour and now you are going to go do it again to get the lights for even cheaper. You are the reason why customer service is such a horrible job.

Yeah...I was the original guy who got the $45 gift cards. I had several exchanges over 2+ months with them to get to the point where they gave me the gift card. The purpose of the cards was to get the realized in-store price back down to the on-line price as my local store wouldn't price-match. I got the run-around twice before getting to a supervisor by chance.

I don't have an issue with someone trying to get a deal, but going off on customer service people really isn't the best way to get anything. My favorite line is, "I'm not very happy about my experience. I know it's not your fault, but I'm hoping you can help me." Kindness gets you a lot farther than yelling at people who in reality haven't done anything to you.

I am betting they are available from alibaba direct from china for even less money does anyone have a part # on the box we can search for ? I found some fixtures that seem to have similar connectors on the end but not a match yet - I'd be willing to split a 20 piece lot with someone locally and front the cost.
