- There's absolutely no way to tell Easco, KD, or Craftsman flex ratchet heads apart from one another - there are no unique markings or designs on the heads, only on the handles.
- By the time these ratchets showed up in the Craftsman catalog, part/model #'s and "patent pending" or patent #'s were being put on tools. While I will "never say never" that these flex ratchets were ever produced without said model and patent info on the handles, it will take far more definitive proof that a seller's pic on fleabay to prove it to me.
- Given this slimeball's well documented history of willfully defrauding people with homegrown tool fakes, I wouldn't bet a plug nickle that this -or most any other Craftsman - flex ratchet he lists is a genuine Craftsman flex ratchet. He has to use early flex handles since they won't have a part/model # that could be easily checked, and some early flex handles don't have a detent ball to hold the drive stud at a few fixed angles, like the flex ratchets and later handles do.
- A few bucks at the local dirt market for a flex handle, find a KD or Easco flex ratchet cheap (not too difficult), a few minutes with a press, and voila!! - a "Craftsman" flex ratchet that's been selling on fleabay for 3x and more what the otherwise identical KD and Easco branded ones do.
