Sometimes they're where the item would normally be. Sometimes they set up a card table at the front of the store. Sometimes they're on an endcap in the middle of the store. Sometimes they hang them on a random upright anywhere in the store. Sometimes they just shove them on a shelf somewhere in the lumber.

My Home Depot is infuriating with this.

No sometimes. Always. One of the stores that I frequent has ALL of those going on at the same time. Well, except for the shoved on a random shelf in lumber. ( need a thinking emoticon here ). I should check, they may be doing that as well!

My Home Depot had the Black and Decker Matrix Impact Driver and Trim Saw for a little over $10. They work the Craftsman Bolt-On products too.

Just saw them today at mine too. Impact head was $10, jigsaw head was $7 and the circular saw head was $10. I was going to buy 1 of each for resale but I decided to pass.

These appear to be nationwide as a saw them at a store in Atlanta. Considered it, but I have the corded one. If you don't have one of these, I highly recommend it. I use mine far more than I ever expected to.

Did a quick search and didn't see this posted. The Home Depot in Greensburg, PA had these pneumatic jobmax oscillating tools marked down to 25 bucks. Picked up one, left four on the shelf.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-Pneumatic-JobMax-Multi-Tool-Kit-R9020PNK/203277058

I just got one too. All they had was the display model, couldn't find the box & said they couldn't pirate blades from elsewhere (which is all the "kit" has). They said they'd sell it at $20 since there were no blades, I said great.

These are not w the pneumatic tools but w the other Jobmax tools next to the cordless drills & impact drivers.

Are any of the attachment heads worth it? I see they have the auto hammer head on clearance for $25 but never had a need or desire for an auto hammer.

Cheap bits but lots of the Oatey branded plumbing tools are 75%+ off at my location. Their products are limited to small things, like pipe brushes.

I went to Depot this morning to grab an M12 Hackzall and free battery but in the clearance section I found a bundle with the M18 Hackzall, M18 Drill/Driver, 2 batteries and charger for $138. It's mine now.

For useful contribution to the thread it would be ideal to include manufacturers item number and HD sku. Also it sounds like you may have found a customer return, in which case it only applied in your specific situation.

My local HD had the LED Mag Light flash lights marked down from 22-29 dollars to 5 bucks. I'm assuming they do this regularly because batteries are included.

Hey all!

This fourm has been aiding in my tool collection habit for sometime now and I thought I was time to give back. lol

some of my local HD have the 2 AA cell mag lights for 2.20 picked up two yesterday and also a 4 D cell for 5.00.

Also was able to get 5 of the Irwin vise grips for $2 each

Took note that one of the HDs had a Ridgid pneumatic jobmax multi-tool kit Reg price $119 for $24.95. my HD showed one but could not find it then offered to sell me the display but could not locate the box or any of the loose parts.

Picked up some vise grips and maglites, thanks to you guys giving the heads up on the deals.

The cashier knocked off two bucks on the big Maglite since the package was bent up and had been taped back together. The flashlight works fine, though.

One Maglite 3D led flashlight: $5.53
One Maglite 3AAA led XL50 flashlight: $7.53
Two Irwin 10CR Vise-Grip: $2.79 each
Two Irwin 6LN Vise-Grip: $2.59 each

COO on the Maglites is USA, on the Irwins is China.

Picked up a 3D LED for $7.53, thanks for the heads up. I already have too many Maglites and have modded too many, but at that price I couldn't resist.

All they had left at Champaign, IL was the sign.

I saw this in the Kirksville store.....but its pretty flimsy.....and its only 2 drawers.

Right next to it they had a 5 drawer top chest for $59. I figured IF you were wanting cheap storage that would make more sense.

I left it......I dont think you missed out on much.

Really surprised b/c both of my Home Depots have been pretty much out of all Irwin stuff for quite some time now. Occasionally a random Irwin item is found and tossed on the clearance bay but definitely not as much stock as you guys are finding.

Shocks me! I asked one of my HD to match the price on the Maglights that I had my receipt for from getting a few eariler at a different store and they told me they dont match prices on clearance items. Guess its all in who you get.

I only took a look at HD for the vise grips because I saw the post here. These two types of vise grips were the only ones left, and there were only four of each. The cashier told me that several people had bought some of them yesterday, so I assume that they had been sitting on the shelf at regular price then they just marked them down really low to get them out quick.

I thought all the Irwin stuff was gone too. The bar clamps were sold out a few weeks ago.

You sound like one of them "missing out".......lol

I bought one set many years ago and they are my last resort if I've used all other clamps in the shop. In fact, I should get rid of them. PM me a mailing, you can have 'em.

As of last week my store still had these on the shelf and I thought it odd. Now it makes sense they're getting rid of them but even at clearance price I wouldn't buy them because they'd just sit in my shop taking up room.

I can see that. The handles feel kinda awkward to me.

I did manage to get two different top chests when they we $60 here a couple of months ago. I needed something cheap and light for an enclosed trailer.

Thank you to the guys who posted pics and item numbers. The HD in Champaign IL had one of each of the large mag lite and twin pack Vise grips left. They were marked $19.98. With the item numbers and knowing what they looked like from the pics I picked them out. They rang up for $7.53 and $4. Now they have none.

I hate these blue handle ViseGrips, those who are "missing out" on them aren't missing much.

Agreed! I hate those handles. I bought a set and they're always the last ones I grab.
