2016 Maybe we should start a separate Ridgid Addict thread.

The $79 Ridgid Impact Driver is NOT the latest brushless version. I picked it up to pair with brushless compact hammer drill and circular saw. I am very impressed even with the brushed impact driver.

Don't know why they are priced so low at the moment but I took advantage of it.

One of the reasons it might going down in price is because Ridgid now has 3 different impact models in their line up. One is brushed, one is brushless, and the other is the new Ridgid stealth force brushless oil pulse driver. Probably want to get rid of the first version since they have the 2 new ones now.

I scored my first penny deal this morning (8" Rigid tile blade) but now I have a question. I went to another HD and found the same 7" blade but it rang up at the full $29.99 price. Why would that be????

Simple answer, read the 2015 thread, it explains EVERYTHING. See SPN's link in his signature, again explains everything.

Not trying to be a jerk but this thread will be and the last HD thread was filled with questions that have been answered so many times.

Many items are not close outs in all stores, just certain stores. So instead of shipping said item to the stores that might still carry it, the prices are dropped in some stores while others remain full price. Also different regions have different schedules on when something is discounted. Lastly, buying at full price store and trying to do a refund/buy at a penny store is usually not successful.

I found and purchased my first penny deal(s) last night. It is no chainsaw or blower but it's a start. Thanks to all those who contribute. I will try and return the favor as I can. By the way, I think those LED flood lights I also purchased are a heck of a deal. Slowly replacing all my lights to the most efficient I can afford. Gotta save those pennies somewhere.

Picked up 3 of the 8" tile saw blades for 0.01 each

Couldnt find any of the old 10" blades

I think the easiest way to know if they are penny or not is the color of the blade. The penny blades are black (except for the diamond edge) and the non-penny blades are all gold.

Does anyone know if there's a difference for the glass blades?

I agree the main difference I used was the color for the tile blades and the part number is slightly different. If it was black I grabbed it, 7",8",10" all worked most of the time. But I also ran into a few stores that didn't clearance them yet.

I think someone pissed off my local store, third time I've been in there now and the customer computers are offline and won't connect to the store server when you try to go into the price check app. Only lets you go on Homedepot.com

Decided it was time to upgrade my **** ryobi table saw. The home depot here still has 5 Dewalt DW745s sitting in the rafters for $229 so I picked one up.

Thanks. I'll got back and read it some more.

I was at a store this morning and I was having issues connecting as well. Worked fine for a few minutes and then went down. Probably just a system issue/hiccup.

I noticed yesterday while at one store that when I was on the price check app, every time they were checking someone out and ran their cc the app would go offline/or not connect and then when their cc cleared I'd be back on....

Its been down at this store about 3 weeks, even the computers in the back of the store are not logged in for the app page to load. You can get on homedepot.com or the desktop on those, but it wants a log in for the store.

Its a busy store so checking prices at self check out is kind of a pain, all ways two employees there hawking you.

I forget which store this was at. Somewhere in Mass. When I punched in the SKU, it came up not found, so it could have either been a penny or not in their inventory. I didn't bother pulling it off the shelf since it wouldn't fit in my car anyway.

It was a return, so I'm guessing it wasn't in their inventory, so wouldn't be a penny anyway.

I picked up the same combination and even though the impact isn't brushless it does have the three speed settings which is very handy. Replacing a ryobi one+ impact which has handled everything I've thrown at it so far so I'm sure the Ridgid will do just as well if not better.

I was able to run across these from the other thread and was lucky to get them. When scanning to yellow clearance tag it was coming up not found. It came up when he scanned the third bar code on the bottom of the box. MOD was called and I thought game over but to my surprise she told to cashier to sell them to me.:rocker:

If you come across these there are 2 different packages. If you find the one that comes in a box make sure you scan the bar code on the bottom of the box. Hopefully it is the same everywhere. That one is the one that finally showed the penny price.

Never scan tags. Only scan the original barcode. Scanning tags will always alert the cashier

Never new that. Never been lucky enough to find penny items until this week. It was funny watching him scan all the bar codes and then seeing his face when he saw it was a penny. Good thing that this store seems to go by their corporate policy.

Those are awesome. I dont think Ive ever saw those in store around here. Nice score for the little one.

Yea Black Friday leftovers. I'm surprised this store still had any left, especially at that price. I think they went for $35 or $40 on Black Friday.

I wonder if any of the stores around here still have any of the huge teddy bears left.. they should be down to like $6 now.

Waiting for the coffee makers to drop down some more to grab one for the work office, although I'd rather have a Keurig at work. But, then i'll also need one of those mini Coke fridges to keep some milk in..
