FYI a store local to me had all of their window screen material on clearance. Currently looks all about 50% off, all sorts of sizes of screen material (24", 36", 48" wide, 25' long, etc) and the corresponding spline material too.

For those interested, all Christmas decorations are hitting clearance. About 90% off at my store. I grabbed another 8' prelit tree for $11, and a BUNCH of 100 light strands for $0.30 a piece.

Winter, did you pay $0.01 for those $4.00 toolboxes?

I paid $4.98 each, for the same boxes. Just curious if you got them for a penny.

$4.00, some have reported $3

Picked up 2 more today, and walked out with a FREE straw hat. I told the CSR I could not find it in the computer and it must have "pennied out". No SKU

Found 56 of the soaker hoses for a penny each in one store today. SCO cashier called the outdoor garden MOD who said I could just have them for free.

So wait, they just let you take them free? Nice!

Yep, some stores would rather just give you the penny items than have them show up as penny sales on their sales reports.

Went to HD computer. Found the penny prices... lots of them, as it is Monday.

HD employee asked what I was doing. I told him I was looking up prices. He said, "well, you seem to know what you're doing" and then made small talk, wanting to know where I was from yada yada. Decided to cut the search short and go with what I had found already.

First, the welder. Yep, that yellow tagged discounted open box model that I've been eyeing for the past couple of weeks showed up as a penny. I tracked it down to a cart parked over between the pro desk and large appliances. In the same cart was that Bosch rotary laser level that had been yellow tagged clearance 4 months ago, as HD replaced all of their Bosch laser levels with models from DeWalt.

I push the cart with both yellow tagged tools to self check out to do a price check.

I scan the original UPC on the box, NOT the yellow tag, as a re-read of the original instructional thread mentioned. But the price for the Bosch original upc was the same as the yellow tag price.

Just then the self check out cashier offered to do a hand held scan on the welder, which I earlier saw with my own eyes was marked down to 1 penny on my computer check before finding the items. Her scan of the bar code reported full price, which was $75.00 MORE than the yellow tagged price still on the box, which she missed (and I didn't correct her, due to wanting her to scan the original bar code).

Am I missing a step?

If I had to guess the 1 cent welder you saw on the computer was a display model.

Model on the welder? As someone mention, most likely the non working display model

Price you saw was for a DNI display welder.

I have received more free ones than paid for. I do not clean house on saws and blowers.I only buy penny items at my donkey mod store. The others give them to me.

I found the Bosch laser level as well. It was in a bin with a date of 8/5/15.

Still scans at yellow tag price.

As has been mentioned numerous times before, not all items follow the .06, .03, .01 schedule. The Bosch stuff in particular will likely have multiple .00 drops over the course of months prior to finally going .06, .03 etc.

I should have waited. But Im literally putting a new door into the garage today... Couldn't wait. Ha
Those actually look really nice, and I could use a new deadbolt for the garage man door. Having the keyless pad would be a boon too as I can't get the keyless for garage door working and it would be nice for family/friends to be able to get into the house if I'm away.
