Shipped two heavy boxes one was 69 pounds and the other was 25 pounds Fedex via eBay wasn't bad 98 dollars total shipping with insurance from Miami to Washington state can't get any further then that in the lower 48.

Also sold two of the Reliance transfer switches some stuff moves fast

I have been trying to avoid eBay for this very reason. It is ridiculous to sell stuff on there now.

A family member suggested trying the local tag sale groups on Facebook.

Ive signed up for a few around me but looking through the posts, very few of them are tool related. Havent tried posting anything yet but Im not optimistic.

What about those Wallapop or Letgo apps you see commercials for on TV? It least on Ebay you don't have to deal with everyone low balling you on the price.

What do you think the resale value of the display model framing nailer would be. Found one at 100.03 and that's all they have left but not sure if I would be able to make money off of it.

Scored 4 Paslode CF325 at $100.03 each. Guy had to get them down for me and I said I wanted all 4. He was asking questions about what I was doing, etc. Asked if I owned a company, just said yeah I need them for the guys. He had to walk them to pro desk and then cashier questioned price, he said "you could have told me what a deal you were getting!".

A few people have noticed recent drops on the DW745 to sub-$229 pricing..

I bought one a couple of weeks ago at that price - I asked a little ways back in the thread, but don't think I ever got the answer I was looking for.

I know 90 days is the time period for a return - is there a different amount of time for a price match to be made (is the transaction even different)? If someone has that info, thanks.

Open box, used, and reconditioned seem to be going right around $200 on eBay now... but that's only if you have the complete kit. If all you have is the bare nailer (no charger/battery), maybe $125-150??

I suspect the price to drop on eBay very soon.. it's gonna be flooded.

On the other hand, these are $400 full price at HD, but Amazon has them listed now at $266.

With CL, you could sell these for around $200 and make the same profit as you would with eBay.

Throw them up on CL for $250 OBO, and for $275 OBO on eBay and see what happens IMO.

receipt in one hand, grill on the other shoulder, and do the moonwalk as you walk out lol. Put on the biggest smile from ear to ear too

once you have a receipt, there is no way Corporate will say you can't have the item. They will tell the store that since you paid, you get to keep it.

They would argue it was on top of racks and not on sale floor. Good luck and hope you get it

If anyone sees Ridgid Jobmax attachments on clearance at your store, let me know. I only need 2 more.. the jigsaw head and the reciprocating saw head. I'd trade something for them.

Only 1 store in the state here has the attachments on clearance, out of stock though.

I thought all the ladders were yellow. Just kidding. If it is in the store it is for sale as far as I am concerned.Even if the basket has not made it to receiving.

IMO. The argument that I was presented with in regards to HDMI cables I got out of the overhead was that "For all I know they were waiting to send those back". Keep in mind the cables had been there for probably 3 months...

If an employee gets it down for you though, I would then consider that item to be on the "sale floor". Not my fault they didn't scan it or do their HW before handing it over to you.

I recently bought a Ridgid brushless brad nailer for $230 minus 10% off.

Is the Paslode 16 gauge finish nailer better for DIY projects (currently doing flooring and trim).

Ugh now waiting on a district manager to tell this guy he has to give it to me. What a joke. Oh well. I'll be nice for 20 more min then I have to leave and I'm leaving with the grill.

Has anyone who has called corporate lately gotten directly to someone who could help them using the 7+2+2 options? Last time I called it went to a general help center which then got someone to help me. Maybe I fat fingered a number or something.

When Corporate tells them to give it to you, ask them to load it into your vehicle....Snap, feel the burn!!!

Some of these managers treat the items like you are stealing from them. If they don't like the system they created then change the damn thing :dunno:

If I was a store manager (which I'm not so it's easy to arm chair qtrback) I'd just shrug it off and let corporate know if they really cared about the inventory not being purchased for a penny then block the POS devices from considering it a valid transaction. **** is not rocket science...may cost money to fix but tis business.

you should have called the police to escalate things up and really get that store manager in trouble with HD corp, and probably his district supervisor if he hears customer called police on his store manager witholding sold products....aka....stealing.. if you already have the receipt...

The managers want to cover themselves plain and simple. It is their own fault and they know it, but only a select few will openly admit to it.

The guys I talked to the other night was literally the nicest guy I have ever dealt with in HD and the first manager to openly admit the were obviously doing something wrong if I was able to find $3-400 worth of door knobs just sitting on the shelf.

He said he isn't surprised in that the employees/dept managers have a ton of stuff they have to take care of, and in the grand scheme of things, most of the items we are getting for a penny aren't "high dollar" items, but after a while they add up. Maybe the employees have "more important" things to deal with than removing penny items from the shelf, who knows.

One thing he did say is that the dept heads are supposed to manage as if it was their "store" and that the one would be getting a talk in regards to the knobs. I asked him if they get in trouble for selling penny stuff from corporate i.e. bad inventory management, and he said not really, only if it was a lot of stuff. I think the little bit of stuff we are getting doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of "loss" they have.

hell.. it's a change to 1 line of code.

"if (price = .01) then transaction.stop"

But then how would you deal with the people complaining they can't buy something they want. The excuses would just keep coming from the employees that it's recalled, etc... Again, it's not the customers fault the product is still on the shelf.

Regardless of what you do with the price scheme, whether it be put it to $9999 or .01, or "transaction stop", the product is on the shelf and the customer should be able to buy it.

If you did "transaction stop", then the employees would have to go through the trouble of coming up with a price etc.

I think in the grand scheme of things in the eyes of "HD", it is easier to deal with the few penny buyers on a case by case basis than change the whole system. If 80% of the stuff gets taken off the shelf as it should and all they have to possibly deal with is 20% penny items then that's pretty good IMO. Most of the stuff getting clearanced is stuff that doesn't move anyway, so if it is in the overhead and penny it likely hasn't sold in months, maybe longer and unless someone who knows it's there and knows it's a penny comes along to take it, no one will ever even know/care that it's up there. Example being the box of HDMI cables I tried to get. Those had been up there since who knows when, at least 3 months since I first saw them, so likely probably closer to 6 months maybe more since they had been originally delivered. Had I not taken them down and brought it to their attention, the would have just stayed up there and collected dust until the did an inventory and took them down. Even at that, they may have still stayed up there.

Again, I don't think we deal hunters even begin to scratch the surface of loss that HD deals with on a daily basis.
