Same thing just happened to me. May have missed the window to really capitalize on these. Although I think it's odd that in the middle of the day they would change their system. Only thing I forgot to check was if the one I scanned had the crossover Sticker.

FYI if you are going to spend big money on one of these brinkmann (aka more than a penny) and intend to keep it buy spare burners and such now. They are bankrupt so if it breaks your kind of SOL

If the item is some place that you cant get or it is hard to carry it too the door etc.

Just allows you to scan it.

I've taken a picture of it too and scanned my phone

Ventured all the way down to Quincy? That store puzzles me because everytime I search on HD.com they have the most inventory of the item I am looking at.

While they all panicked about the penny blower, I scanned 6 more door knobs and an 8" tile saw blade then paid.

Lady at customer service was snotty as hell and said I'm not having it for a penny. Went outside, called corporate, 5 minutes later went back in to pick it up absolutely free. I gave her the biggest ****-eating grin and said "told you so!"

If you are local we should cooridinate something.. but the polk stores seem to be locked down.. like i said the stuff is on craigslist before SPN even post it on here.

I mostly cover southeast Florida and central Florida about once a month. I was just passing through lakeland so I stopped by the north lakeland store.

ah... I am in the stores three times a week. The south lakeland store is close to my shop so I go there on a lunch break. Hit the north lakeland one up on my way home.

So I've been creeping the forums for the past few weeks now but hadn't registered, I figured it was time as I've had some recent luck with penny stuff.

Yesterday I hit up about 6 stores and was able to find a few Ridgid Blades behind the others at a few different stores.

Got the Deadbolt Lock sets at another store. They were up on a upper shelf within reach marked .03 Went to SCO and the first one froze the computer. The attendant came over, voided it and scanned them with her scanner. She didn't even blink an eye at the .01 and walked away after ringing up the 4. Dropped in my 6 cents and left.

The entry set at another store waswas way up top with about 30 other items that I asked a associate to grab for me. She kindly went up with a ladder and handed me the first thing. Grabbed her scanner from the back pocket and "checked" a few others before saying to me that she can't give me anymore items. i didn't contest, went to the SCO while she was still up there and got out.

Had one of the Brinkmann grills in the cart this afternoon before I knew much about how to handle this situation. Went up to SCO and scanned it without the attendant seeing me. It showed up Manufacture Recall on the screen. Attendant then came over to inform me that she couldn't sell it because it was recalled and shouldn't even have been on the shelfs. She just grabbed my cart and said, "You'll have to find another grill" and walked away. Kinda crappy...

I'd also like to say thanks to a lot of you guys on here. I've gotten a few nice things that are going to help out around my house (just bought my first place)

If computer said 217 then SCO will be 217. FWIW this model is still on the last clearance price (20 something) in my local store and has been for months...but none in stock.

What is SCO? If I could get this cheap, I would go the pneumatic way, I/m just looking for a framing nailer either way!:rocker:

Sure thing. Not a ton of things I want but maybe a few things. Not super interested in selling but if you want we can get together and I can save you a trip or vice versa. My shop is off drain field my house is by the mall. I'm in home depot and lowes constantly for my business.

Which store? Rockwell Ave and SW 3rd? They had one showing in the system, didnt see it in the nailer section the other day. Edmond also shows 2 but I could not find either of those either.

Does anyone know anything about 5000 watt Husky generators? I found one in a store, looked really out of place so I noticed right away. SKU: 315198 (not found in price check). Stupidly, I forgot to get the UPC. Did they get rebranded as something else with the same UPC? Any chance it's still in their system at all? From what I can find online it looks like they cleared out years ago.

No way it was gonna fit in my car so I left it for now, will go back with a bigger van maybe tonight.

ive gotta ask this stupid question:
if the 'price checker' on the instore pc says $300, and the sticker says $300... is the nailer $300?? or is there a chance its $100?
they were locked up, so i couldnt take them to sco without help... im pretty sure they were gonna ring $300 bc of the price checker, but im wondering if i should have checked anyways...

anyone have luck with the following situation: multiple stores have, in this case the nailer, marked down to $100 but theyre sold out. another store has them but at $300, and they refused to PM. what are the odds of buying at $300 and taking the receipt to the store that is sold out but priced at $100 and getting an adjustment? i can talk some lowes into this without an id scan, not sure about HD. TIA

Scored another framing nailer in Texas but can't seem to get a finish nailer for $100.

Anyone in North Texas want to trade? Preferably in the DFW area.

It would ring up $300. You sure you were looking at the LI one and not the XP?

Finish nailers aren't $100 here yet either. My closest store has loads of them though!
Close store had 2 in stock of framing, but none to be found. Another store might have 2 as well, but I won't know until I get over there.

I am puzzled by the schlage deals you guys are getting. Were these directly off the normal retail shelf, or at a clearance end cap? Overhead? I can't seem to wade through the billions of styles to figure out which are the right ones. I need to do a more broad search on in-store computer I am guessing.

I was an idiot and didn't realize the display units for nailers were drilled out. I think I will keep my mistake of a $20 framing nailer from display to remind me to think a bit more ahead of time. Not sure if you can possibly fix the hole. These things explode with some serious force and the filled resin and plug that would be required might not be strong enough.

Above Rt 78 is my to rt 280 is my territory. You and JR stay out! :shocking:

Just kidding, but I don't think anyone on here is in Northwest Jersey but me. At least not that they will confess to. Ever interested in swaps let me know. Currently have a paslode and chamberlain garage door opener.

I sold that opener for $150 on CL, been getting more calls on it but decided to keep for myself.

About 95% of the clearance items at my HD are ending in "00" & are stupid discounts. This follows suit with the Jack-a~~ head mgr. Oh Wait.... I hear a squeak sound.... Must be the mgr now!

yep, definitely the li-ion one. thanks for the response, i was pretty sure the pc price checker was congruent with sco, but couldnt remember for sure.

is there a good way to check inventory and prices at all other local stores on the pc price checker? ie. when i am at a store on the 'north' end of the city it only shows stock for other stores on the 'north' end, and omits the stores on the 'south' end and vice versa... also, the prices at the stores vary in that maybe a product is $100 at one 'north' store and $300 at another 'north' store... is there a way for me to identify the pricing before driving to the other store other than calling and hoping a clueless-sounding female operator picks up?<so as not to tip employees off to the deal>

Could you upload a pic to show what they did to the display nailer?
Stores around here are selling the displays without the battery and charger.

Found 5 of the propane brinkman grills for a penny, they were on the top shelf. I asked the lady at the service counter if I could speak to the manager, she calls her and I say I found some BBQs for a penny and I'd like to get them. The lady at the desk tells me they don't sell penny items, and I said I've gotten them here before. After they talked on the phone, she said that the manager is aware they're up there, but they're waiting to hear back from the supplier to see what they're doing with them. And she told me to check back. So I'll be making a trip there tomorrow, hopefully there will be different people working.

If you don't want to drive around just call the store and ask them to price check the sku and see if they have any in stock. Sometimes they'll even pull them for you and let you pay over the phone. Obviously wouldn't work for penny deals, but usually the person at customer service is fine with doing it for clearance items.
