Looked into buying one of these. Just note the speed is different than the regular saw they stock. These black friday saws turn at 3800 rpm and the normal saw spins at 4300? Something like that.

I agree. Be careful with the black Friday stuff, usually its a version made cheaper just for the sale. I went back and fourth last year when I bought my DWS709 with the black Friday version and I ended up buying the regular one because of quality. I remember them being different part numbers though.

Sounds like you returned a ton of stuff and maybe you deserved to get banned

You are talking about "5 more returns" like it is nothing. I am not sure I have returned 5 things at HD in my lifetime...

If I buy it I need it. Unless it's a penny item of course.

I've done about 10 "returns" in the past two weeks with the 150 promo and getting price adjustments for stuff that dropped a decent amount, For some reason they key it up as a return and run it again it at the new price, most of the time it was $40 or more difference.. All ways had a receipt and all ways paid in cash. Never asked for Id once, only asked to sign the key pad and no matter how I sign it it comes out looking like chicken scratch. So if you get banned from returns start using cash and keep the receipt.

So i guess a return and rebuy for the welding kit is the way to go then? So just buy it for full price and go over to the clearance store the next day and ask for a price adjustment? How long will the product stay in the clearance stores computer if the product is sold out?

I don't think you could say that about the Dewalt table and miter saw. I got the table saw last year for a penny/free and its just as good as any 300 Dewalt saw you can get. I don't think Dewalt skimps on quality on their saws.

I agree, HD always has a ridgid shop vac for like $30 on BF. I bought one a few years back. The cord is like 8' long, which is way too short. The hose is not a standard size so you can't use any other shop vac/ridgid accessories, the hose kinks very easily also, plus it doesn't have good suction.

yea I'm not sure about other styles of saws, just make sure you do your research online. The flip side is that if you don't need the more expensive option then just get the black Friday one. Should be sufficient for 90% of people who use it.

American Standard Cadet 3 toilet, sku 453-913 original $229. Now $58.03 at my store.

I got lucky last night at Home Depot, and I even told my wife! I'd bought 3 of these at $99 a week or so ago & last night I took my receipt to the customer service desk & was given a "return & rebuy" on all 3 toilets! Oh the things that excite me these days......

You needed 3 for different rooms, or you just destroy them that quickly?

The bad part about eBay.. now what? Refund this guy? The friggin box was factory sealed with the straps around it.

"Hello. I received my faucet today. I really like it but it is missing everything else. The box had the straps like it was sealed but the box has been previously opened. The faucet was out of his plastic. However it looks new but the rest is missing. It is missing lock nuts and all the 4 parts for drain and drain body. What can you do about it? thank you"

That's the worst. You don't want to open it to check, because then you can't say it's sealed anymore...

This has happened to be more than a couple times at Lowes, never at HD.

The past few "price mistake" deals from Lowes where I order immediately for in store pickup. They actually fill the orders and I pick up the stuff. DeWalt, Bosch, etc with the white plastic strapping around the boxes.

Stupid me figures everything is OK inside but of course its not true. Still good deals but annoying that they arent completely brand new. I kind of wonder if Lowes themselves re-strapped the boxes.

Now I take pics of everything before I cut the straps and look inside. That way if it IS brand new and I have to put it on Ebay or CL, I can show pics before I opened it and after.

Are you sure it was supposed to come with the popup assembly?
I think that stuff is always sold separately.

Honestly, it doesn't matter; your picture clearly shows you had it factory sealed, and even the buyer admits it was. Either those parts are sold separately, or he's like a million other guys that buys something, takes what he needs, then wants to return the scraps. I've only bought 2 faucets in my life; both times I had to go back and return them for ones that someone hadn't robbed a part out of.

dunno, i'm looking at the pictures of the box from my listing now..
http://www.ebay.com/itm/182000961650?euid=885981cd9cc94bccbc8fa4867a35ea04&cp=1

the box says "push down, pop up drain". I don't think it's supposed to be included. I think the faucet is supposed to be used for that kind of drain.

edit: home depot and amazon says it included the pop-up drain assembly..

I am about 95% sure they never come with the drain assembly, just the faucet.

Now the nuts that's a different story but.

Replacement parts list:

http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/77/77bd1244-1747-46b7-b8bc-58bb406ce93c.pdf

Im figuring they are "missing" part 11.

Honestly Ive never bought a faucet that DIDN'T come with the "stopper" assembly and the short pipe for the drain.

They DONT come with the rest of the tailpipe extension (since sinks and drains will be at different configurations and heights and you still need to add a trap)

I dread that same situation, do you have returns accepted?

Some dude tried to make me refund him because fedex was a day later then their estimate. I was like get lost, that's not my problem. That's why they call it an estimate. I actually offered to refund him if he mailed it back at his expense. He closed the complaint. It didn't help they he barely knew any English.

He could be right...but you have to look at his record feedback..
I have also had HD and lowes and other stores that I bought only to find that its been returned, opened and stores typically retach it with their banding machine...thus giving apperance of factory new... Famous for doing this is Frys electronics...its a roll of dice.

so i would say take pics before and after opening to verify that everything is in there...aganst the parts manual of what contents are in there.

When I returned a new dewalt drill kit..combo deal pack...HD csr opened it just to verify if everything was in there...even though it had factory sealed, unopened....She said they do this because lots of people commit return fraud.

If you never open, verify and then sell....then yeah...buyer could say anything... Most stores have shrink wrapping machines, banding machines...to make packages look like new....even the paslode...just put tie wrap and call it new...unopened..????

Also you could call glacier bay and they would send the missing parts if its minor things.

Hmmm I stand corrected.

Faucet description also says with "pop up assembly"

The Paslode has the factory sticker on the cardboard that needs to be cut in order to get the cardboard off that would be hard to duplicate.

As far as the faucet goes, guarantee if they contact Glacier Bay, they would send it to them for free.

A few of the Pfister shower trim kits I bought were missing a few small parts and they gladly sent them for free. At worst, tell the buyer you will contact the company and get the replacement part, just give the company the buyer's address when they ask where to ship it.

Lowe's does the white straps in the stores. I purchased a drill opened and I was missing the battery. PIA to get it replaced. Returning it was an issue. Finally store manager gave me a brand new battery.

I'll try calling that number for Glacier Bay and see if they can send the parts free. The 2 lock nuts are only 95 cents each, but that drain assembly isn't listed at HD.

I had a school acquaintance that used to buy stuff, take stuff out of it for various reasons and return it. His dad owned a store that had a plastic wrap machine... when he returned it, you couldn't tell it was ever opened.

Yeah it *****. The item I bought was most likely used, at least gently, but you could tell if you actually looked at it.

I should probably have emailed corporate or talked to the manager but I didnt bother since I might not have a leg to stand on (remember when they had the price mistakes on all those drills about 6 months ago?)

How long does a buyer have to execute something like this? before your notified? How can they even execute that? I would assume if you were using credit cards to do this type of activity its probably few and far between?

I've heard up to 6 months on some things, Ebay will still allow it (buyers remorse). LOTS of scammers out there.

Well just got off the phone with Glacier Bay (or Home Depot to be more specific), they're sending the parts directly to him.. that was easy.. hopefully he won't complain about the 5 to 7 day wait for the parts.

I had this happen recently, except a M12 battery/charger combo happened to be 'missing' the batteries. The best I could do was file a claim with USPS (still waiting). If I were you, I'd call Glacier myself and act as if I was the buyer and have them ship the parts to the buyers house. Don't stand him up, or he will get his money no matter what.

You are screwed. It doesn't matter if you have no returns listed or not all he has to do is so not as described. If they claim not as described Ebay forces you to give a refund, pay return shipping, etc.

Ebay's buyer protection is actually seller prosecution. I hate that place.

A couple years ago I sold a water pump to an idiot. He sent me a email and said in his words he plugged the pump in and let in run then it started to make a weird noise after a while and that I sold him used store return item. So I asked him to confirm what he did. He again said he opened the box and plugged the power into the wall and turned on the switch and it made a awful noise.

I told him he broke it. It clearly says on the box do not turn on without water supplied to the pump. He then called and cussed me out in broken english. He then opened a case. I then showed Ebay his messages to me in the Ebay message system where he admitted he hooked it up against the directions with no water in it.

I called Ebay over and over and had so called supervisors call me back and agreed they saw what he admitted to but they still stuck me with refunding him.

So if a buyer can admit they broke it and they can still just say not as described it shows Ebay is a pos company that only cares about profit and will screw every seller they have rather than try and fight a buyer's credit card company.

To top it off, the noise the guy heard was the electronic shut off turning power off to the pump since no water was flowing through it. Gave it to my neighbor, been working for 2+ years.

In the case of this faucet, you'd think if they were claiming missing parts just to get extras, it wouldn't be something like the pop up drain.

I suppose its possible they might use the "free" part for another faucet, but it does seem like an odd part to lie about not being there.

Or maybe they are selling the same faucet but actually opened theirs first and its missing the part :)

Oh yea, in case no one knows. Ebay now allows buyers to cancel a purchase after they do a buy it now for up to an hour after they buy it. wtf is that place turning in to.

They will do everything possible to make it as easy on buyers as they can.
