Haven't seen these posted yet. Got all six for six pennies

Nice!

Friend of mine was looking for one that size.

Ill start looking at my stores again. They were never listed as clearance in the computers up here so it might be a bit before we get that price.

The epoxy kits are still at the $51 and $75 levels around here. I'm hoping to pick up a couple of the gray kits for personal use. I'll pick up others for re-sell if they get down to the ~$20 area. I did well with the old tan kits from last year.

I could of used any lol. But none to be found near me anymore. O well. They had Behr concrete degreaser for 8 bucks...normally 19 so I picked up two of those.

Behr makes a 1 part epoxy I saw that seems to get good reviews. And not to expensive

That 1 part epoxy is $1.00. Color 901, color 902 is the new color (similar)

Successful night. My local HD has been harassing me about using a computer. By total accident I found some milwaukee bits that pennied out because of the date on the sticker. Asked for the woman that harassed me last time as I was going to call corporate for the first time to teach her a lesson. Turns out I asked the assistant manager to page her. He informs me you are allowed to buy a penny should you find it on the shelf but not in quantity. Shake his hand for being understanding and as a show of good faith show him the other 4 kits on the shelf. He thanked me and I continued on my way to the register with my epoxyshield kits. All still labeled on the shelf at first discount price. While walking out an older employees mumbled **** as he saw what was in my cart. Oops oh well. I was also informed by this awesome cashier that always talks to me when I'm on the computer they just let a number of people go because they had "ring" of employees buying penny items/ dumpster diving to resell.

Not sure if this is decent price. I was just looking for something to be a penny to teach them.

All the epoxyshield info since I have seen it posted with models/sku's

Bought some tan kits for the extra flakes, I don't care about the color difference in flakes I'll just blend them with the gray kit. Also keep in mind any extra flakes and etching at this pricing is cheaper to buy a whole tan kit and throw out the extra than buy them individually

Have you tried setting up an online account?

Ive never let FedEx pack and label my stuff, its ALWAYS cheaper to do it myself.

You can setup a free MyFedEx account which you can use to get detailed shipping quotes on an item (BEFORE you ship it), then just print out the label and package it. Sure you might need to get a box and some bubble wrapl, but Im pretty sure that stuff is cheaper at HD than it is at FedEx!

Don't ever ever ever sign up for a ups or fedex account. Once they have your billing info, they will bill you for everything under the sun. They will also fight you to the death for a $20 charge they screwed up on. Always pay cash when you send anything so they can't come back later and try to tack on a fuel surcharge or residential/commercial charge. This is especially true for international shipments because someone has to pay if the receiver doesn't accept the duties.... I've received ghost bills from fedex claiming for 2 years I missed payments on all kinds of things and each one I documented payment and everything. I showed them proof and they still wanted to take me to collections for them. Always pay cash, fedex is the worst.

Took SPN's advice and just sold something on eBay and used the shipping function there. Saved me almost $10 vs going to the USPS and mailing like I typically do. :rocker:

I almost never hear anything but was walking by two HD employees yesterday and overheard something about a few coworkers being let go . . . didn't really pay attention cause I was on the hunt for deals. Wondering if they were cleaning house?

How do they dive in a compactor dumpster? Do they go to receiving?

What am I missing here on penny deals? I have found many tags that end in 03 and 06 but when I go to price check them they are still priced the same thing.

So not all .03 or .06 are pennies?

for example one item is 15.03, I price check it and it costs 15.03.

I think I am not understanding this system well yet.

It takes time for them to go from .06 to .03 and then .03 to penny. A somewhat reliable indicator is the date on the yellow price sticker....the older the date the more chance it will drop (or already has dropped) to the next pricing level

Around here it looks like the teams have gotten better about getting things off the floor when/before they hit a penny.

awww, I've been trying to find some older stores where they might be more complacent, the newer stores seem to be on point with everything.

It depends in large part to your area, their practices, luck, and being a very very persistent shopper.

I have found items with a clearance date of around 3 months past from the time I found the item and it is still last clearance price. Read around here and some stores are on the ball with 6 weeks past the .03 clearance date on the sticker and boom its a penny. I still haven't figured out how it seems some stores will follow a mark down pricing schedule until an item hits a penny and others, like the ones in my area, seem to be done with markdowns at the .02/.03 level.

the price in the Price Check app is what it should ring up as at the SCO register (99.9% of the time).
Once in a while you will see penny items in the Price Check app, but most of the time, it will say "item not found", this is when you know it's a penny.
For instance, if I check some random SKU number 666555 today at $15.03, then check it next week and it says "item not found", it has pennied out and will ring up as a penny at self checkout.

Penny in the Mid-Atlantic area.

I filled a flat cart with them and the manager let me have it for free since they did not want to ring it up at the penny price.

Handy edger for doing small borders. Since it is hollow I am going to fill it with rocks that I have collected from all the gardening I have done. Maybe fill it with concrete in a few areas.

hmm I need to start paying attention to some of these blocks.. need to re-do my fire pit. did you just go around outside in garden and write down all of the SKU numbers for the blocks and check them? i'll have to remember to do that in the spring after the snow melts

No, I saw a clearance tag for 93 cents above an empty bay and took it with me. But it was pennied out, so I could not do a Price Check search. While looking for the Scotts grass seed I was also looking for these bricks and finally found some. No tag, but a full pallet. I loaded my cart and showed the cashier the clearance tag. She called the mgr and he gave it to me. Since they are resetting the outside area now you cannot wait till spring.

I'll have to keep an eye out for those blades. Also here is a picture showing 4 clearance tags from the faucet I bought. Might help some understand the clearance process. Who know's.

Thanks. I'll definitely try that route next time.

EDIT: Damn! I just check the pricing on the 2 faucets I mailed today and doing what you said would have saved me over $18! :Violent: Guess I'll know what to do next time. Thanks

Haven't been to an HD in 2 days and I'm having withdrawals. Gonna hit one tomorrow morning on the way to work and the Nutone is at the top of my list to price check.

When shipping the faucet's did you use a box or just put the label on the original box?
