Just curious, has anyone thought of stitching two of the keter sheds together to make something ~7' x ~14'? For $500 it doesn't seem like a bad idea, just wondering as I haven't taken a close up look at them to see how modular they are.

I saw two in stock at .03 pricing but someone I'm guessing on this thread bought one of them last night. So unless I see the other one I found that is still at .06 pricing drop I don't think I will be that lucky. It would be a lot of work but for 500 would make a fun project.

That's the moment, right then, when he bumps into you and you just adjust your belt because your every day carry was discomforting you.

swoyer I take it you got the other shed at deptford? I saw a cart full of penny items tonight in a closed off area by the garden section, how bad do you hit them last night? :lol_hitti

Hope you know how much of a pita NJ can be for that. They don't care about the PA permit.

Picked up a Dewalt cordless vac today. They had a display one out for awhile marked as $49 down from $99. On a whim today I did a price check on it and it came back as $25, even with the yellow tag showing $49. I looked up in the overhead and found one new in the box. Sure enough it scanned at $25. Don't really need it, but for that I'll take it.

I have had one of these for about a year, once of the best tool items I have ever bought. It is light weight and my kids who are 11 and 7 use it all the time to clean up their messes.

So never a dull moment. Called the local store at 1:30 ish today that had the sheds to confirm pricing and in stock. They did and I asked if they could be put on hold. They said no, we don't hold clearance. So I asked could I pay over the phone and was told no. Ok as I've been told in the past. So I go after work. Low and behold this is what I find.

Hmm they don't hold items but it's NOT PAID for? Ask the CS counter if I can purchase them. 20 minutes later and a few employees I'm told no they are promised to another customer. I asked why they couldn't be promised to me when I called. They said they don't know. Some back and forth and I asked one last time, you're not going to sell me they sheds as I am a paying customer here now infront of you. Nope..... OK call to customer service. Explain my situation and they work out to let me buy one in a store 45 minutes away. So they are going to ship it here for me to pick up. No. Okay I guess I'll deal. Can I pay for it now and pick it up tomorrow. Yep just go online and pay for it. It's $997 online. Hmmm.... This goes on for another 45 minutes while they try to figure out how to take my money. I finally suggested let me buy one here and send the guy they were promised to down to the other store. They finally agree as the MOD finally gets off break and the other customer (a cop) just happens to show up. Then I was informed they are being nice to me because they are letting me buy one. By this time the truck I had lined up (my fathers) was already gone and I just said screw it let the guy have both and I'll go to other store tomorrow.

So, I learned there is competition at this store as they dropped in price today (I've been in everyday) and this other guy bought them. Also explains why this store is always so scarce on penny/discount items. And lastly that they are favoring this other person as they are reserving items for him. Maybe a friend of an employee?

Just picked up a couple of the NuTone HD80NT exhuast fans for a penny each. Had to use the orange ladder to get them off the top shelf since there were no associates around to help and the ladder was already right there just tempting me to use it.

Just finished installing mine. Wiring diagram in instructions didn't match the actual unit.

Nah, I saw it there but I personally don't need it and there's no point in me taking it if I'm not gonna use it just because. I've had a hard time finding anything down there lately. I usually go to the Philly stores on Tuesday. [emoji847]

hmm Lady helping me asked if I was in there the night before. said someone else came in at closing time to buy a shed lol. I went to Washington township since I was at the auto mall down the street anyway doing work, hit Deptford on the way home and ended up buying it. Hope its not damaged, saw a lot of reviews with screwed up doors and issues getting replacements.

Had one of the flanges of one of the walls break off while setting one up today. Luckily found a store with a broken display that let me pull off the siding I needed off it

Found 8 gallons of BEHR Silver Gray 1 Part Epoxy Concrete Floor Paint.
Really thought they were long gone in my area. Rang up at .92 cents instead of $1.00. Cashier voided the transaction, took out his phone starting taking pictures and called another associate over. I said what are you doing? He said the price is to low. Gotta call a mgr. over. I'm thinking here we go again! after 10 minutes of waiting a woman comes over with a print out and says these are out of the system. I said so, she looks at here print out and goes this ain't right it says here 1 pt epoxy, this is paint.. I said of course its paint! She backs away, a few minutes later with a superior attitude ,she goes OK!, like she's doing me a big favor.

Yeah now I kind of wish I called right there in the store, or at least ask to speak to the store manager and not the MOD that was making all the accusations.

The only thing they said was that they should have honored the penny price being that is what policy states. I have a digital copy of the receipt and a copy of the void but not the original paper receipt. Idk if calling the cops would have done any good. If HD tried to physically detain me and put me in cuffs then that would have been a whole different story.

Haha basically

I just got a voicemail from the store manager stating that he got an email from customer care about some confusion between me and his loss prevention team about penny items. He says he wants to discuss what happened with me. hmm...

please keep us updated on this....very curious to see what the Main store manager wants to talk about and do.....should be interesting if you take your lawyer friend with you.... Hell...maybe secretly record the meeting....video or voice......you know they probably are going to secretly video tape and record your meeting.... ???

I actually have that DeWalt vac, I got it around Christmas time as a gift and at the time it was $79. It's a very nice vac and am very happy with it. I mostly use it on our vehicles.

peel off the sticker next time and roll.

Thought about it. They are a little heavy (and by little I mean holy ****) to by myself onto a cart. So I went to local store they directed me to this morning at 6am.................. and I forgot that clearance pricing differs between stores. Short version is I just a a $750.00 return rebuy at the store that screwed me. Then had a talking to by another manager that I am not allowed to buy penny items. I will get this store management sorted out one way or another. :lol_hitti

I went to 2 stores Ive never been to yesterday and found penny items at both (Ridgid dual circuit generator cord).

Used SCO in front of an actual SCO attendant and they didnt say a word.

To date the only time Ive ever even been spoken to after paying for a penny item was at my most local store and even then they basically just said "nice deal, have a good day"

Its iffy....some stores will do it and some stores wont. I imagine as our clearance/penny item hunt gets more notice there will be less stores willing to do that.

I did it once a very long time ago, LONG before the "penny item" process became as public as it is today. It involved a lot of leg work and I literally got an email from the manager of the store I was going to stating it would be OK to do (the adjustment was for a good amount of $$$)

Now that the penny/clearance item hunt seems pretty public I would imagine a lot of stores are starting to hear about return/rebuy at clearance.

It depends on the store. Some will. Some won't.

Yeah, Im waiting for the day that HD wises up enough to have "lowest selling price" as the actual lowest selling price at all stores in the region/district/country, instead of just for that single store.

That would prevent that scam from ever working.

Granted, they could have "fixed" their penny issues by now too.

Well what's strange is its only one store in area that has this item on clearance. Everyone else is full price. Guess I'll go and try it.

In my experience that means the store sold out of it and will never restock it. It went to clearance to make sure they clear out any remaining inventory (that they can find, anyway).

This happened with some Milwaukee tools over the summer....only stores that never carried it in the first place had the clearance prices. I never bothered to try buying at one store and return/rebuy at the store with clearance pricing, I just assumed I would be shot down.

Ya don't want to do reverse. Just want to get the item for lowest price in area. They have their product distribution a little messed up. So I'm just helping them get inventory to the correct stores for purchase. ha

Scotts 7 lb sun and shade now at unicorn status, found 3 when I tracked down the last Ryobi hedge trimmer in town

Was the Ryobi trimmer .03 status? Keeping an eye on a few near me currently at 75.06.

Yep, I have one local to me where the printers are broken on the SCO stations and you have to get yours from the attendant. Buy penny items all day and never anything other than a smile and "Have a nice day". Another store less than 10 miles away you would think I was trying to kidnap their children with how they totally go mental :dunno:. I typically only buy penny items at this store when I'm bored and have time to kill and don't care.
