Ok. Just a comparison between the husky and the dewalt..... Night and day difference. The dewalt is okay and I guess it's a bit lighter. But I'll take the husky for sure

Thanks! And the husky should be able to handle most/all trim and finish nailers?

^ ^ ^ Unless you're shooting nails like a crackhead Mad Maxx trying for 100 nails a minute . . . ANY of those small compressors (whether tube or pancake) will handle trim nailers.

I've got small DeWalt twin tank oil-splash compressor and it handles Hitachi roof nailer and framing nailer no problem.

Ok, thanks. One of these will be my first compressor so I wasn't sure...

Yea I agree. I have a single tank hot dog compressor that runs a little higher psi but less gallons than the compressor, and that ran my framing nailer without cycling too bad. Most nailers run at around 110-120 psi, so you should be fine and the capacity is pretty good for a little nailer.

For framing nailers it seems PSI is more important than SCFM or storage capacity. Framing nails are bigger so you need more pressure to push them where they need to go. 120 psi seems to be the minimum "max psi" recommended for a framing nailer, which is what the Husky goes up to. If you arent too far from the compressor it probably wont be a big deal but if you are really far from it, it might.

But trim and finish nailers should have no problem....while they can use up to 110-120 psi, Ive never had to run one over 100 psi even with lots of hose between the compressor and nailer.

Anyone check the Ryobi batteries lately?

last week they were still at the 8X.** price. Around Atlanta, several stores have dozen in the overheads without any on display. The 2 packs on display were either two small batteries or buy a large, get small free deal. Hoping they hit $25 like last year.

Wish I could fine some led lights on clearance. Need like 6 sets for the garage
Shop lights? Around here they have the 4ft feit lights for $13.03. I picked up a few and they are brighter than my florescent t8 lights.

Napa, CA

Also right side of the tool Isle they have all their tool clearance in boxes. High in the rafters. Didn't see anything I wanted. Don't have time to buy and re-sell but for those who do. Check it out.

Picked up two of this today. Was disappointed. The Costco ones seem to be brighter and they have the metal top that seems to spread the light, this don't.

These aren't on clearence and wouldn't be good if you're looking for energy conservation. But the light output from the t-5 high output is crazy, couldn't find the lumens for the 4ft or 8ft. Have them in my shop and elsewhere throughout the house. I believe they're not intended for lower ceilings but I haven't had any issues with them being over bright. Just don't stare at the bulbs.

Thanks. Maybe they will drop in price. I picked up outdoor led lights with the cracked glass design on clearance from costco last year.

Yep shop lights. However someone posted that they aren't as bright as the Costco ones. Might just get the Costco or SAMs club led lights now then.

One is quiet if you hold it.

It can't be made like that.

Same experience I had except my second one seems to have done the trick.

I honestly dont think its anything major thats rattling....at least on mine, it sounds like its coming from the area of where the power cable goes before jumping over to the pump. But I didnt find anything loose. I also wonder if it could be the feet on the unit itself.

The fact that it stops rattling if you hold it up gives more evidence that its not an important part (like the pump, motor, etc) that is the issue. I did read a review of the CAT version that someone noticed one of the fan blades was loose....once tightened their rattling noise disappeared. I did check mine and they are tight.

Bowie MD has 2 of the Dewalt pancakes available (as of last night). Both open box but looked complete. I did not have room for them so left them.

But I did pick up 24 of the 14 piece screwdriver sets for $3.82 each. I like Black Friday in March!

edit - FYI -the 2 dewalt pancake compressors at Bowie Md are showing $45.02 in the PCA

Nice. I haven't seen 1 on my travels. Someone has pillaged the Philadelphia region. I haven't had a lot of luck selling the bigger stuff so it's whatever, hopefully people use it for what they need.
