careful using just plain brown paper. As the paper is thin, you attach your shipping label to that. The brown paper tears and there goes your shipping label.
If using brown paper to conceal the contents, I would print two copies of the shipping label, put one on the original box under the paper, and one on the paper itself.

Found this in the very back left corner of the Austin Slaughter Rd. store on an aisle without lights:

Got six through SCO in two trips while some girl who was either clueless or didn't care was there. Third trip I grabbed four and then noticed that she wasn't there anymore and had been replaced by some guy that appeared to be on top of his game. Rather than risk getting busted and them pulling the rest, I decided to just hit it back up on my way home.

Was planning on cleaning it out but got there around 9:15. The guy was still there, but managed to get two more loads of four through before they shut down the SCO. Depending on how deep they go into the display there should still be at least 10-12 left, but possibly a lot more.

Also managed to find some Malibu stuff, a dirt devil steam mop and a Ryobi Hedge Trimmer:

Discovered the trimmer was missing the charger after I got home, but still think it's an okay deal at $0.01.

Home Depot now has the Dewalt DWS780 with the free stand for $599. If your like me and wanted a stand then this is a better deal than the DWS779 they have been selling. I wonder if this means the 779 will start to drop soon like the 709 did?

FYI for anyone interested - just used the 99.00 (98.06) Husky compressor with a framing nailer tonight. Worked just fine....I wasnt machine gunning nails but was able to frame up a 4'x4' platform 16" OC and the compressor only cycled twice.

One of the best "personal buys" I've found here. I upgraded from a Porta-cable Pancake that I couldn't hear my generator over when running next to it lol! Cant wait to put the husky to work!

Great minds think alike!! This is exactly what i did to ship all my gdo yesterday. I figured the same thing. If anything happens there is still a secure label underneath.

Walking thru HD yesterday saw this as well. Not shipping paper but same weight as shipping paper I bought at Officemax. Might be heavier. Also got to be 10 times as much on roll for just double the price.

Gonna be on the lookout for the little storage trays..Some stores had a ton of em.

40lb Kraft paper at a minimum. Get a roll on Amazon. Great for packing also

With the shipping paper, just beware that officially, Fedex doesn't accept it. They claim that it can damage their shipping machines/conveyor belts. But sometimes, the shipping clerk will accept if you ask nicely :)

Found 3 boxes of Schlage MER stuff and an older front door handle set. Strolled up to SCO and it gave me the old See Attendant multiple tries and then froze. Bummer. Guess the MER stuff fell out of their system. Oh well, had a good run on that stuff. LOL

Didn't plan to hit any stores but stopped by one HD to see if I could price match my 2 $44.04 GDO to new price. Checked and they didn't even appear to sell em..so didn't try. But I always check vacuums, and low and behold up in very top level of rafters were these. He got them down for me without scanning. Went straight to sco and not a peep..timed it perfectly!! Now to goto store where I bought those 2 GDO the other day.

Lol I've seen those girls gonna try them out

The SKU is 729824 and the model is P2603. I tried searching the UPC in the PCA, but it came up as item not found. Just look for Ryobi +1 hedge trimmer boxes that have a uniform thickness throughout the length of the box. The new ones are fatter at the bottom where the motor/battery/charger are and then decrease in size where the blade is.

I don't know where you're at but you may be in luck. That saw has been out stock at my stores for at least a month. Others on here where getting it for half the price of my store or penny's when it was still in my store. I said that to say this- your store may clearance later than the rest, so you should be able to take the stuff you find here, find it in your store and keep an eye on it as it drops.

This.

While I dont think it will break their machines, I can see it being an issue if one of the machines catches a loose corner or piece of it and ends up ripping it off the package.

FedEx told me once but was nice enough to repackage the item no-charge. Ever since then, anything I ship goes out in a box (which is why I tend not to Ebay large items like GDOs, etc)

Yeah I could swear someone said the sets with the red knife arent pennied out.

Ive seen a few things not come up in PCA but still ring up at full price. Not sure why/how it happens.

Now that Ive finally completed my attic re-insulation project, Ill have more time to mess around at HD stores instead of being there to actually buy stuff :)

Or, like I had today, they simply don't ring up period. Says See Attendant and you're basically SOL.

Only thing worse is when the PCA actually shows the item is a penny yet it rings up full price. :eyecrazy:

Only had the see attendant once......and they were nice enough to gift me the item in question.

I dont think Ive ever gotten an item that shows as a penny in PCA. Penny items, sure, but they were just not in PCA at all.

I dropped the wife and kids off at the airport today and headed off to two HD’s I’ve never been to on the other side of town by the airport. I plan to hit all 8 metro stores this week while they’re gone

And… I popped my penny cherry today! Saved a whopping $3.32 by finding a Husky 9 ft extension cord (623395) sitting all by its lonesome around the other cords. It showed No Item Found in the PCA. The PCA also showed 11 of the Husky 15 ft cords (165263) for a penny, but I could not find them anywhere.

I was sooooo close to scoring my second penny on a full box of the Sterilite totes. Showed penny in the PCA, but when scanned it called the attendant. She tried the usual, “I’ll get in trouble if I sell it to you, but I can sell it to you for $5 under a generic sku.” Thanks to you guys, I knew enough to say, “Well, if you can sell it for $5, you can sell it for a penny.” Then I stupidly said, “$5 seems pretty arbitrary, why not $1.” So she called the MOD rang it up for $1 apiece.

In general, it seems around here all the clearance stickers are accurate, even ones dated 2014. And all of our Moen faucets are still full price. It seems like we are a few months behind the rest of you. I guess that’s a good thing as I can know what to look out for.

Thanks to all the regular posters here with good advice.

Went to HD today. I went to the pro desk where I normally go and tried to get onto the price check app. No dice. They disconnected the whole area from the computer. The only thing that will even pop up is the internet browser.

The Husky compressors seem to now be discontinued. Still $98. I picked one up hoping it will go down next week.
