Thanks. This one is close enough I go easily during lunch. Maybe Monday and Thursday would be good days.

Some things I'll jump on the .03. Like the Klein KO set. Others like some light fixtures I'm ok waiting to see if I can snag even cheaper. Especially when there's 3 and kinda tucked away. Still in clearance, but not an endcap, and in the back of the store, on the floor. Might have a chance.

Yeah Ive started to shy away from buying stuff just because....it ends up taking up room in my house, even at penny level its a bit annoying (the less popular stuff tends to stay on CL and rot around here! having good luck with the compressors though)

This. Don't even bother with a lot of stuff I'm finding deals on. My garage and dining room are filled with **** that's either not selling or I'm just too lazy to post up for sale. :(

The store I found compressors at already had an inventory level of -4.0, then I bought another 4.

That's the furthest off I've ever seen something in the PCA

Last year during the nailer reset, I got a ton of Hitachi fuel cartridges, bringing the PCA count to something like -80 lol

Apparently whoever adjusted the inventory didn't remember the ones in tool rental

Damn, wanted to take a few days off..NOW this gets posted and I gotta get on the move. NEVER ever saw the Dewalt quiet trim, but the 20 gallon have seen..I think that one has better flip potential than the Husky quiet..That tool box setup, I WANT!!!!!!!Well, it or the Dewalt one..But yeah, got a feeling those are going to be tough finds.

Just to be clear, that is just a handle for the pressure washer and will do nothing in and of itself, right?

Where was this?

Was this trigger handle 1 cent or $40?

Listened to those of you on here that bought saws. This store also had the 16" but was only marked down to $99 so I will have to keep my eye on that. PCA said 0 14" on hand but I found these up high.

I had to go back and check for you. One store had those brand new Milwaukee boxes on sale for 299 or something. I'll take a pic when I'm back there. Also didn't mean to double post that dewalt. Meant to post the 30 gallon husky on sale too

First time poster, I just started HD hunting this past week. I need some advice. I went to store 551 in west plano today and spotted one lonely Husky 2-drawer Mechanics Cart (SKU 1001-378-417) in the rafters. I thought this item was still $23.02, so I had an employee get it down. The guy said it was $109 online so he said he could take $45 for it.

I thought I could get it down, then say I'm gonna look around some more for other stuff, then later self checkout at the $23.02. Well he insisted on escorting me to the cashier instead, and I saw the cart ring up as a penny on the register. I innocently asked, "what does that mean?" He said it means its not in their system anymore, changed the price to $45 even though I said the last sale price was $23 at a nearby store.

I bought it thinking I might be able to take it to a different store, return/rebuy for $23.02. Are all these carts now a penny? What should I do? I'm going to return the cart if I can't get it for $23, a penny would just be icing, but not necessary. Should I have climbed up the large "employee only" stepladder myself to get the item?

Also, I found a lot of Husky one-socket 15' extension cords (SKU 165-263) at that store for a penny. They aren't on display and the PCA shows none in stock, but there are still 3 full cardboard boxes of 12 each. The Homelite 16" chainsaws (SKU 785853) are still over $100 at that store. I really am looking for a Husky quiet air compressor, but no go in the three DFW stores I checked this past week.

I haven't been viewing this forum in quite a while, and i'm sure this question gets asked a lot, and I've tried looking, but what are the "techniques" for finding these deals? Do I have to go to the store and search on their computer or? thanks in advance bc I would love to catch some of these deals.

He got you!! If item is a penny, you either get it for penny(can be tough), totally free(tough as well), last clearance price(pretty easy), or say screw it and don't buy it. NO WAY should you have paid more than last clearance price!!!! Actually ALWAYS try to negotiate something off last clearance price.Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. I believe it's a penny everywhere,so return, rebuy ain't gonna happen.

Mill town nj shows one in stock. Couldn't find it.

Bunch of chainsaws wrapped up on the top shelf. 14" mostly. Not even on clearance.

Okay quick question. So a couple of those .03 items I posted earlier were .06 when I first looked in the store. Then while I was looking about 30 minutes later they some had dropped to .03.

So question is, will the price not drop until the met team prints out the new clearance tag or someone gives it approval? I'm at a different store with the 20 gallon compressor in stock but it's still at .06. But some of the other stuff has dropped to .03. Just a slow met team or?

all of the stores around here start doing markdowns on Tuesday and by Wednesday they're all marked down.. so ya, the price doesn't adjust automatically.

Ah well live and learn! Thanks for the reply, I'm just gonna return it. Do you guys climb up on the "Employee Only" large stepladder to get these rafter items? If you don't, how do you get away with purchasing penny items that are on the very top shelves? This searching is frustrating, but fun sometimes.

I saw a guy and his older son at a store in Grand Prairie, TX this past Saturday buying four Dewalt air hoses that were a penny each. I was following them to learn from some pros. If you two are reading this, I saw the air hoses in stock the day before, but couldn't find them on the floor. I'm glad I learned the important lesson of looking in all the rafters nearby by SKU, thanks haha. If you aren't a GJ member yet, you should sign up as well. I couldn't help from smiling when I saw a father-son penny hunter duo there at the store with me!

No. You need the extension and the tips. I grabbed one wand and tips recently at .03, might check again as they had 2 more wands. Local store by work they were still like $50.
