Anyone else find few to no stores with the 27" and 26" husky tool cabinets on clearance around them? I could have sworn the city I was in on Monday all the stores had them at .03. When I checked all my home stores one 1 had them on clearance. Rest are full price. Picked up 4 tops and 4 bottoms. Already have 3 pairs sold. Need more as none of my stores have the 41" or 52" boxes in stock.

Also I know it's been said but what are ya'll pricing the 30 gal compressor at? Finally found one and grabbed it this morning. Thanks.

Same store I was at earlier showed 1 16" homelite in stock. Had to have someone help me find it as it was buried up top without the cardboard sleeve. Turns out it was used (very lightly from what I can tell) and returned. Showed customer service a pic of it from the PCA and she took the 36.03 clearance price and knocked another 20% off. $30 out the door. :rocker:

except when it is not, these are metal, to bolt onto the metal box they were made for.

I was more worried about the weight cause I had to get on my tippy toes and "tap" it to the edge where I could get a hand on it then bring it down. The box was not heavy at all. Just didn't want to take a chance of it falling on my head if it was heavy.

Dang, store is dead. Does anybody have the last clearance price on this by chance?

Bought six boxes yesterday at my local store (went looking for the 52 Husky and/or Dewalt Tool Boxes - no such luck). Employee went up into the rafters to retrieve same as it was definitely higher than I could reach even with the yellow ladder. First thing he did was scan it and gave me a big "**** eating" grin about the good price. Have worked with this employee before and he seems to be not only friendly but also doesn't seem to worry about whether or not an item is a penny or not. Asked him if he thought I would have any problems getting through the SCO and he stated "he hoped not....".

Took all six boxes to the SCO - which was quite busy at the time. Unfortunately the attendant saw me and immediately offered to scan the boxes for me. As soon as she does, she notes that each box is a penny. Tells me that she can not sell it to me. Tell her that her statement is contrary to HD Corp Policy. She calls the MOD, who tells her that they can not sell it. I again offer company policy and the next offer I received was I could buy it at the last clearance price. Again, I told her I would rather pay a penny, and she relays the message to the MOD. Finally he tells her to sell it to me for a penny (whole discussion took less than 5 minutes - might have helped that I snapped a picture of the check-out screen showing items at a penny each). Paid my .06 and walked. Would have rather of found the tool box, or another compressor (found one of the Husky 4.5 Gallon Silent compressor at the store last week (at the time I purchased mine they had another 9 sitting on the floor and in the rafters, but I was told by the employee that they were all sold out approximately 2 hours later when one person came in and bought all 9 - hope he can sell them....).

Offering them to friends and family before flipping them. $5.03 for the xenon and $7.53 for LED. This store had the same 816766 weather station back to full price with new packaging. Also saw this in tool rental -

That's normally the case with oil being quiet and having a longer life expectancy. Just remember to read the break in instructions. Couldn't believe how many metal particles came out with the compressor oil.

(My instructions on breakin was to run it with valve open for 20-30 minutes then drain the oil)

I found a one last night (at $110.03, my first .03!) and was just reading the instructions today. It's model C302H, so things may have have changed, by the break-in instructions don't say anything about changing the oil. They just tell you to open the drain valve, run it for 20 mins, close the valve, and you're good to go. In fact, although there are instructions (in maintenance) for draining/refilling the oil, they never say when you'd need to do this. I assumed they'd have some guidance like after every x hour of operation or number of years...

BTW, the second best thing to finally finding an .03 was the guy's reaction behind me at SCO. It wouldn't scan, so I was up at the center area getting it manually entered. When I came back to get it, the guy waiting said "That's a really nice compressor!" When I showed him the card w/ the price on it, his jaw just about hit the floor. I saw him in the parking lot and he said he went to go see if there were any more (obv not or I would have had them all)

theres no way to tell til you open it.
i have a c301h, a c302h, and a mystery box
the 301 and the 302 look identical. the 301 says 135psi, the 302 says 155psi. thats the only discernable difference to the naked eye. the book for the 302 says something about being quiet, the book for the 301 says nothing about being quiet.

Do u guys ever feel bad for buying all of them? Sometimes when someone helps me out I usually ask them if they need one for themselves that way I leave them the last one so they can purchase it. Granted it is their job to help out a customer, but if they helped me look left and right for a specific item then it is a different story.

This is weird. Have you guys ever been contacted by a manufacturer when selling products online? I put up some Seek thermal imagers for sale on Amazon (wasn't getting any hits on ebay) priced much lower than any other sellers. Within a day or two, someone from the manufacturer messaged me stating I wasn't an authorized seller and to contact him with my info so I could become one. Didn't bother responding. A few minutes ago I got an e-mail notification that he just bought the 2 I had put up for sale. There's also at least 2 other sellers that are missing from the product page, so I assume all their inventory got bought out as well.

If you are not an authorized dealer you cannot sell them as "new" on amazon, you need to sell them as "like new".

Are these Husky 52" boxes at penny status? Thought they were like $120.03? Why should it be a fight to get them at .03?

I'm :headscrat on that one too. Get it down, pay the .03 price and go home. What's the problem?

Map pricing, there looking for counterfeit products. This is why most companies will not honor warranty on ebay and amazon purchases.

....

my only concern with using the set as an extremely awesome backup set is the battery size/runtime. the compact '18-20v' brushless stuff nowadays makes more power than full size drills did just a couple yrs ago, so thats not a concern. definitely more power than i ever need.. plus its a hammer drill... cant go wrong at all. i will just be on the lookout for a deal on a larger dewalt battery. just in case i need more runtime.. brushless should be good on the batteries but who knows what will happen during use, since dewalt gives no meaningful specs.

i must have missed the sale on the cases... im impressed by them. they are about as nice and rugged as the husky technician's case from january-ish clearances

I think the 2.0Ah would work out just fine, especially in brushless.

I have the 4.0Ah batteries for my Ryobi stuff, but its not brushless so a little less efficient on battery usage.

I havent found the 200.00 DeWalt kit yet...I believe that comes with the bigger batteries, but also the less compact tools.
