Seriously SPN - how do your stores still manage to have this much stuff left, after all the times you've cleared them out?

Wow. Just hit a HD that had a bunch of yellow tagged Homelite chainsaws, 14" and 16". Still nothing at penny.

I have bought 5, sold 1 to a buddy for 50, one kinda buddy 65, kept one zero hits on all the online adds, if people tried them they are great wackers even at 100

Yeah I've had mine up for a little over a week and have basically no traction on them. I am supposed to meet up with somebody tomorrow off of offerup but he wants to "try" the trimmer, I told him it's new in box and he cant "try" it. Haven't heard back since that.

I put a different head on my Ego to get rid of that crappy bump head. The kind were you just thread two pieces of string in and your ready to go.

the battery alone will sell for 60-70 on ebay, one store sold the display minus the battery and charger, then sold me the battery and charger for 10.00, so for 60 bucks i have 2 batteries and a wacker, its quiet and works great

-if youre getting asked for id and you have a receipt youre getting targeted. walk away.
-as noted: you 'dont have your id' every time, no matter what.
-you only get X number of id swipes.
-$100 or less pre tax no receipt return does not require manager override.
-you only get X number of $100+ no receipt returns.
-you will run into a problem if returning something to hd for more than you paid for it unless you paid in cash.
-returning with or without a receipt when paying with a giftcard or storecredit card should be avoided at all costs bc it is highly tracked and will pose future return problems for all parties involved.
-providing id on a receipted return where a credit card was used will pair transaction history of the credit card and id. likewise, using a split payment at checkout of gift card, store credit card, or credit card will also 'pair' your purchases into your id or whoever else is tied into the giftcard or storecredit card.

If I cant sell them locally I think I might split them up and trash the actual trimmer. I will see what the charges/batteries are selling for and maybe part it out to make a little cheddar.

LOL nice haul. I passed on a few EGO trimmers assuming that the market for them here wouldn't be great, and they are bulky to store and ship from eBay sales.

Only came across one display 14" chainsaw with no chain that I also passed on.

I see that everywhere and I think it needs to drop to $50 before you could flip it for anything resembling a profit.

some of those other dewalt kits only came with 1 charger, but two small batteries and 2 tools. maybe easier to break up the sets now that theres an expendable charger from the 5ah battery pack...

Long time lurker to this thread but still haven't seen much in the stores I visit. Question though - would the price checker stations, the ones usually at the end of an aisle, work to show the same price as the SCO? Not thinking about items that have gone penny status, just those that have gone from 06 to 03 but the label has yet to be updated?

Still can't find the Dewalt toolboxes anywhere. The Husky ones are all full price.

So this may be a bit off topic but after finding few deals locally I stumbled across this CL ad. Is this someone buying a bulk lot of returns at auction? Many of the Items are things i've looked for but they all have the same orange "customer order " sticker, or is this some sort of inside deal? When I did a wider search I found more ads like this but just showing an item or two instead of 1000's

I would guess with that volume of stuff, yes... they are buying the return pallets at auction. Lot of junk on those though!

I have seen quite a few of those hammers around.
What do you use the 3lb one piece drilling hammer for?

U can buy these pallets monthly in Atlanta. Have a cousin who did it and got real lucky on his first pallet (made over grand). He then over the next year bought 3 more and 2 of 3 took losses on them. He gave up because it was getting to popular and expensive. He was buying the pallets unseen because it is significantly less cost than the pallets you can peek at.

Stopped at H.D. on the way home today and their was a 52" husky 10 drawer cart/box 044-933 , was going to get it but Mgr said it was pennied out and could not sell it to me. Ask about the last clearance price and still said no way.
was $75.03..

I may stop by tomorrow and see if the day Mgr. will bite. Will see....

Well I stopped by again on the way home, the box was still their, spoke to the hardware guy and he went up to cs counter , the girl could not find it in the system, I told them that it was a old clearance at $75.03, still could not find it. She then went on-line and its was saying $498.00.

I'll let it sit for a another week and see what happens then...

My 15yr CH compressor STB this weekend. North Texas seems wiped out on the 20/30 gallon husky compressors. Anyone not too far from Plano interested in flipping quick let me know.
N Plano showed 1 in stock of the 20 gallon... Search high and low but no dice

Workbench could be a good buy at the next price point.
Got this from sears when they were closing them out at $70 and ended up selling for $180 when it didn't quite fit in the space I was hoping it would. It's a heavy sucker and most people who had them shipped to home ended up with damaged units.

Kept one and sold the second one to a guy at work for 50. To big to ship and the newer 15 inch ones are better

Let me know if you have any other friends that would want one. More then happy to pass on the savings to somebody that will use the product. Better then returning it to HD.
