what are the skus on those chests? I was looking at what seems like the exact same thing but they are like $300 for the bottom and $250 for the top. Not sure if it is the same just difference in clearance or an older model. Any easy way to spot the difference in the rafters?

They aren't on clearance everywhere.

i had a hard enough time getting a few of those husky 14/12" bags out of a store for a penny, i cannot even imagine what they would say if i asked them to get an item down off the rafters and try to pay a penny for it!

I'm in Chicago, been trying to pick up a tool chest from them, and man, someone ALWAYS grabs them when they immediately go on clearance.

Ryobi 22 inch gas hedge trimmers have now hit penny status. Just grabbed 6 of them.

Has anyone picked up the winter work gloves for a penny yet? Every store I go to has like 2-3 giant boxes of them somewhere in the store. They haven't reached a penny here yet.

They are down to $2.53 with a $4.96 price tag showing.

How do they let you ring those up and pay a penny for each one?!

Im fairly convinced a lot of people have people on the inside.

Just way too many people finding things over and over again, sometimes even at the same store, and getting away with gigantic things like toolboxes for a penny.

Either that or everyone is just being a ****, dialing up corporate and ******* off the stores (and maybe even corporate) enough that the whole "no more pennies" policy will become, or already is, not just a rumor.

One thing I found is that it does help to be nice to employees. My favorite Home Depot store everybody knows me when I come in there and I treat everybody nice so I most definitely get treated to a certain deals.

This is the one store where I got the garage cabinet last week for a penny. He wouldn't point it directly to me but we played the game of hot and cold till I found it.

BTW thought I found an unicorn this morning ripped box lots of dust, PCA show "no items match" Politely asked person at service desk for price on sku 1001-018-921 freaking $149!

SO MUCH more stuff is worth last clearance price than that, that is if you are a reseller at all.. It seems many times being a reseller is a nasty thing and frowned on. But I take pride in being one..Somebodies got to do it. Selling "stuff" I may not want or need allows me to buy and get things I REALLY WANT and do need! Greatest ex. is those Dewalt tool chests. Had been scoping Huskies for a few yrs,then discovered this way of shopping home depot, now boom!! Got me 2 Dewalts in the garage essentially for free!!

Every thing brickie said got a garage full of discounted tools and still have 5,000 in paypal money to play with.

Penny framing nailer..And makita 10 1/4" circular saw!!!! $114.00. Reg $456.00. Was store display so few scratches here and there, but should flip well. Never even freaking seen a circular saw this big!!!

Both of those full price here. Checked 1 store during lunch. I have been looking for the dominator pry bars since they were first posted.. none even stocked in any stores within 25 mile radius I would have to buy them online.. wish i could get those instead of a cheap set from HF..

At that same store I scored penny nailer talked with manager and he told me the stores are hard on Penny items because too many people were getting them and bringing them back. This one store even said they used to just give them away but for that same reason they had to stop doing it. Of course I did just get the penny nailer through though LOL!!

I did do the leg work before posting (20 pages using the search term "Dewalt" I never saw the sku posted for the 36" combo you are buying unless you are getting the DWMT73679-78 which I have never seen in any store near me (Midwest). I know the SKU for the 36" dewalt top (DWMT73678) and Bottom (DWMT73679) has been posted, but as has been stated by multiple people in different regions this is a new model that isnt on sale. The 52" dewalt which is on sale is not what you are buying.

Im just trying to figure out if what you are getting are the new models that just happen to be pennied in your location or some other older model with a SKU that has not been posted.

You do go on to say that you dont post your SKU because of a lurker which makes me think the SKU for the penny 36" has not been posted.

I think most Home Depots have a "family bathroom" now. Locking door n what not so you should be good there and Target.
