I definitely meant special in that context lol.

I don't do a whole lot of posting on Slickdeals unless I am posting inventory for an item at Lowes.

K back to deals. I found these Vigoro rubber tree rings for $5.03 (SKU # 273351). Kind of ugly but helps keep the grass around the tree down and doesnt have to be constantly refreshed with new bark.

I'm so excited about the stainless steel shop vacs dropping in price again this year. I found those things all over the place last year for the $17 price. Has anyone had them reach .03 status yet?

Found this in PCA but none to be found:

SKU: 1001570309
Desc: Milwaukee M18 Trueview Flood Light

And found 3 of these, PCA showing none in stock. All 3 were in the same box, directly above the bay they used to be in, labeled with SKU and quantity. Sometimes it's just too easy.

Why even post that in SD?

One thing I found is that it does help to be nice to employees. My favorite Home Depot store everybody knows me when I come in there and I treat everybody nice so I most definitely get treated to a certain deals.

This is the one store where I got the garage cabinet last week for a penny. He wouldn't point it directly to me but we played the game of hot and cold till I found it.

agreed. your first memorable impression with a given associate is critical.
get on good terms with a few of them and they will remember you, their coworkers will remember seeing them interact with you, etc.

get on a bad first impression and its opposite. you will get nothing but problems.

some of the associates get in trouble for being disorganized though.. so when you go hunting for something when the dept head isnt there and no one can find it he might get ripped if a manager catches wind of it. this happened to me, dept head's assistant remembered me, told him i was the guy, and now he is a stereotypical jerk and an 'old-man homer'

Im fairly convinced a lot of people have people on the inside.

Just way too many people finding things over and over again, sometimes even at the same store, and getting away with gigantic things like toolboxes for a penny.

Either that or everyone is just being a ****, dialing up corporate and ******* off the stores (and maybe even corporate) enough that the whole "no more pennies" policy will become, or already is, not just a rumor.

i dunno what part of the country youre in, but i pulled up the map of HDs in the NE-US one time and its completely saturated... like 25+ hds in a 20 mile radius... thats easy pickens.

i occasionally find stuff that i know was buried on a clearance rack 2 weeks ago, i come in this week and its nowhere to be found, then 3 weeks later its back on the clearance rack at a penny. so hitting same store twice has paid off for me multiple times.

Seriously. Let's get back to the real deals here.

Here we have a great deal on a thermal expansion tank. Boy what a great find.

Easy pickins until they inventory.

I can make it to 5 HD stores easily and I've been going to them just about weekly for the last 4 or 5 months. They've become very good at cleaning up, whereas just around this time last year *I* was cleaning up with DeWalt saws, etc.

I regularly see MET workers there now, where I saw almost none before.

there were some nice vinyl mats for 15.03, just walk over by the rugs and mats and stuff and you should see it.

also if you type 'commercial electric' into pca theres one clearance item that pulls on that term... its a $17.03 led flexible light. its 8ft long. i dunno if its a steal at that price, seems like an ok deal though. it should penny out in about a week or so though

well you were basically accusing ppl of having a hidden advantage... 5 stores aint nothin to some of these guys. ie if you check the hd stores in boston you can hit like 40 stores in a weekend pretty easy. multiply what you do at 5 stores by 8 and you have all sorts of ymmv opportunities...
i go to a few stores across town that recognize me and are very cool about all kinds of deal like HF coupons, pennies, etc.

my buddy walks in that same store with HF coupon and they act like he is a crook

Been watching this for a few months now and finally dropped to a penny. Couple stores have pallets full of them out in garden I'm going to grab this later this week. Definitely some good resale value here. Picked up a similar statue after Christmas last year by the pallet. Was good for over $6000 in profits.

Actually it was more for the people that seemingly constantly find a ton of things at the same stores over and over again.

Ive been able to find a few penny items at each of my stores, but its been over a matter of years, not months or weeks. And ive never been able to find a whole lot of multiples of any one item....onesies or twosies is about it.

yawn. youre still goin on about this...
ce tech usb **** pennied out the very next day after the tag was posted. take the lollipop out of your mouth and search it. yellow tags dont tell you anything on pricing.
would you like a pic of the wrongly priced tag on the cetech usb item next to my penny receipt kneepad?
too bad. i dont care what you want.

to be honest, i cleaned out my whole region for a massive and completely un-posted national sale for the past week and i didnt even post it here just so kneepad & a couple others wouldnt get anything out of it.

Wait... The price tag isn't the actual price of the item?

Hold up, people don't post every single deal they find or item they buy? Are there actually people that just leach off of this thread, never browsing or posting and getting deals for themselves while others do the dirty work. That sounds pretty greedy.
