$20 for these at Lowe's:

843221009281lg.jpg

...after I bought $10 of jigsaw blades I needed. Let's do the math: $10 (jigsaw blades) + $40 (knipex bolt cutter) = $50. Apply the OSH coupon at Lowe's (-$20), listed above. Now it's $10 (jigsaw blades) + ($40-$20=) $20 (knipex bolt cutter) = $30 total spent. See?

HD said they'd accept the OSH coupon too, so I may visit them tomorrow. Got my eye on some Klein needle nose...

Are those really Cobra's or cobra knock offs? I thought the real ones had teeth all across both jaws? The one on the sears website looks like only the center has teeth...

Just wanted to clarify on this (forgive me if I missed someone already doing this):

I bought the 2-pack of Craftsman Cobra pliers (7" and 10") today - they do have the teeth all across both jaws, it's just hard to see in the online picture.

Someone also clarified this earlier. I took a stroll to my sears today and they were indeed marked $35, but rang up $45! Got the price adjustment without a problem  They are AWESOME

FYI, that OSH coupon stacks with their current 50% off GearWrench sale. You could argue that makes the 8-pc stubby set about $10, provided you bought $20 of other stuff...which I confess I did...

The OSH coupon did not work for me at my local HD. I was polite as I could be, and I still couldnt get them to honor it. They wouldn't even give me a reason as to why not and started to get rude. Thats when my patience wore thin and I started treating them with the respect I was receiving.

I am shooting an email off to corporate and to see if they will honor it.

You know, the same happened to my brother in law who lives an hour north of me. Yet in my neck of the woods, I used the OSH coupon at both the local Lowe's and the local HD (as well as the local OSH). Must vary by store?

True Protein again? WTH? [EDIT nevermind, looks like the mods removed the spam. Thanks, mods!]

ADVANCE AUTO 40% OFF plus free shipping if over $75.00. Use code LC123. The code will not work if an online rebate is being offered. i.e. I tried to use it with buying wiper blades that gave an immediate rebate and it did not work.

50% off American-made LISTA Toolboxes and Cabinets

This is a bit of a plug BUT it is an awesome deal for sure.

We are an authorized LISTA distributor and have an exclusive deal with LISTA to sell all of their blemished, canceled orders, overstocked items, and freight damaged items. We call them our Junk Yard Specials and they sell for 40-60% off.

As an example, we currently have about 50 brand new LISTA toolboxes and storage cabinets that are still in factory packaging and priced at 50% off of list price. We warehouse and ship directly from the LISTA factory in Holliston, MA.

Regards,
Joe

its 10% off everything but they removed the sale prices on a lot of things as well so theres not really any additional savings on most items. They do that a lot. Waiting to see what black friday brings :)

I like that LISTA SC900 10-Drawer Storage Cabinet. That's a great little cabinet. Anyone know the list on that? Seems like a good little operation for you. Lista warehouses and ships and you just have to throw it up on your site.

I wonder if Lista sells the scratch & dent direct if you drop by their factory? If the pricing were right, it'd be a great deal even driving from California, if you got enough of it

Amazon is having some incredibly cheap prices on Foredom/Dremel grinding bits. (starting at $.24/ea)

Wow that is a great deal. Thanks for sharing Davefr. Too bad I can't thank Stuey for sharing...I fear that the OP is now crossthreaded!!

No, Motorhead is where all that goes. That's what the "exclusive" in "exclusive deal with LISTA to sell all of their blemished, canceled orders, overstocked items, and freight damaged items" means.

I have good reasons. When a tool deal is posted on SD or another deals site, people order insane quantities, like it's free money or something. People just see the price, hear that it's a good deal, and just BUY BUY BUY.

A lot of SD forum members order quantities to resell on ebay and elsewhere, and others buy without knowing anything about the tool(s) other than the price is good.

Because of this, if I need to go back and order something I'd like to actually use, the price will either be inflated, or the item will be unavailable for weeks or months at a time.

Then there's another issue. Most of these bits are not going to be 1/8" shanked. People are going to be ordering and returning them by the dozens once they find out they don't fit the standard Dremel collet. Dremel does offer other sized collets, but many of the deal-grabbers won't know or care, they'll just know that the Foredom "Dremel" bits they ordered don't fit. Amazon will eat the return costs and might then jack up the price of the bits.

So it's not that I didn't want to share the deal, I didn't want the deal to be ruined for those who search for and buy bits to use by those who buy for resale or just for the sake of the sale.

What you're describing is definately a characteristic of the deal sites like SD. However GJ members are likely to be a little more sane about their tool related purchasing behaviour.

If a killer tool deal starts at SD then I see no reason not to share it here. However if a killer deal starts here then i agree that maybe we shouldn't proliferate it to the deal sites for the reasons you mentioned.

Just an opinion!!

All in fun, Stuey, you're one of my favorite posters, and you've put me onto so many good deals I do not begrudge you the occasional private feast. You're like a brother. A brother that feeds an addiction, mind you, but all the same...

What is SD?

There are so many random industrial supply deals on Amazon that I can't post about them all. Plus, I didn't think Foredom burs would get the forum too hot and bothered.

I hear you. But I felt like explaining myself anyway, at least for the benefit of the lurkers that keep track of the thread.

Don't worry, I'm sharpening my deal-finding skills for the upcoming holiday shopping season, so you better start saving some $$!
