Once again you guys have helped me make my wallet just a little bit thinner! Stopped in the HD and had to pick these up. Left to right:
16 oz. Ball Pein - $7.10, 24 oz. Ball Pein - $10.00, 8 oz. Ball Pein - $7.90, 12 oz. Soft Face - $8.10 and Tack Hammer - $3.80.

:headscrat I picked up my 8 oz. ball pein (looks just like yours) at HD for $5.70. Prices must fluctuate from store to store?

You guys ****....I checked my local Home Depot today and none of the Vaughn hammers are on sale/clearance.....

bummer for me

Did you check the end caps? The Vaughn hammers aren't where all the other hammers are at my local HD....they have a separate end cap with all the clearance items together (it was on the inside end cap furthest from the doors at the end of the aisle where hand tools are)

I noticed a lot of the Gladiator Garage items on sale at a local Sears. Also some of the pliers (Channel Lock and Craftsman) and Craftsman tool organization stuff.

The mac man has plier racks for $21 this month. I think you guys normally have to buy 2 to get that price with shippingon amazon.

I picked up some items this morning. I have made out with their deals in the last 2 months on the Gladiator stuff.

The ball peen hammers were only 1-2 dollars off depending on size. Wasn't a huge savings. The other hatchets and hammers were a decent deal though...

For anybody around the Stockbridge, GA area, the Lowes in Stockbridge has 3 of the 2-piece Knipex Cobra pliers sets still in stock and on clearance. I used a HF 20% coupon and got the set for $23.98 + tax.

When you consider HD sells the saw for $129, the screw driver for $99, and the drill for $149, getting the combo for $149 is a pretty good deal. Note, the combo only comes with two batteries (that might be why the drill is only listed as a $100 free value).

The thing to look for is the box in the right side of carton (outlined in white). Once you know what to look for, its pretty easy to spot. You can see that this box area is on both ends and the front of the carton.

Notice that the MW code number: 2490-22 is the same, whether it is the special three tool kit or the standard two tool kit. That's the reason calling the stores didn't work for me. They pretty much all had that skew in their system, but every one of them was the two tool kit (and expecting the person answering the phone to dig around in the storage area is probably asking too much.

Thanks for the photos. I'll go looking.

For those guys looking for the Milwaukee M12 3 pc kit there is a new MIR (free high capacity battery or charger 120v & 12v or plumb laser or small radio). Valid 2/1 - 3/31. Got it off of SD.

I bought mine last week. I might try to get HD to return/resell it to me.

Home Depot has the Dewalt reciprocating saw blades on clearance for $1 (all sizes). Don't know how good they are but for a buck...

My HD ain't got squat on sale (as far as Vaughan, anyway). The lady kinda got kinda pissy when I asked her to scan it - actually I asked if there was one of those stations where I could scan it.

I looked at the sale section and saw nothing good.

Just called HD Customer Service desk and they said no problemo.

They told me I did not even have to bring the Milwaukee tools combo back, just receipt.

We'll see tomorrow if all goes well.

Re: DeWalt blades - looks like they fit the Milwaukee Sawzall and Hackzall as well. Looked at extra Hackzall blades when I bought my combo, but they wanted $9.99 for a 5 pack of 3" Hackzall blades and I passed. Tool info says Hackzall can also use regular Sawzall blades.

It does. I've been using the hackzall for a while. All the reciprocating saw blades fit.

Edit: I just went into home depot with a receipt and they let me return and repurchase the milwaukee tool kit no problem. Again all you need is the receipt. You do NOT need to bring the milwaukee tool kit with you.

Damn, I finally found a 3 piece set on Saturday. Let me know if they will let you return and resell.

So which freebee is the best? I figure the spare battery, but would appreciate others ideas. This MW deal is getting better and better!!!!

I,m off to HD with my receipt!!!

Although Amazon wants more for the radio than the other pieces, I really do not need an expensive radio...

More HD stuff and HF too!

Running around getting supplies before the big snowstorm hits here in Detroit. Hit HD for some salt and the one on 13 Mile Road had the 22 piece screwdriver set with the fat handles for $7.00. It was a Christmas item at $9.88. Pulled out my cell phone at the register and showed them the HF 20% off coupon and got that off everything too!:) No Vaughan ball pien hammers left. Vaughan stuff was in the clearance section and not marked down too much. Each store must have control on how much to mark it down and when. No 3 piece Milwaukee sets.

Headed to HF and got a 2 piece set of impact universal ball joints. Marked down from $7.99 to $7.49. Plus 20% coupon. Lots of new hand tool sets on the shelves. Should have taken a photo.

IMG_2599.jpg

And of course, the usual free digital multimeter.

Personally, I think the XC battery is the best "value" just because I'll get the most use out of it but, because it's free i kind of want the laser level. The reviews are not so great on it though.

I am not sure how they are getting almost $100 for an AM/FM radio...

Well, I went back to the local HD and got a fresh receipt! Thanks!

They were already out of Dewalt recip blades, and the Vaughn hammers were all regular priced.

I even made a little $$ on the swap. I bought the tool kit in NC, and got the receipt swap in SC. Since SC has a lower sales tax, I got $3 back... Sweet.

i think this is a great deal, but certainly no $0.99 item... http://www.tooltopia.com/kd-tools-81916p.aspx - KD/Gearwrench 22 piece metric long pattern full polish wrench set (6-24,27,30,32mm) with 'free' 20pc stubby wrench set (both SAE+metric) for $151 w/free shipping.

this thing has been out of stock for weeks and i'd randomly check it thinking it would eventually just drop out of their catalog - i guess i thought it was a promotional thing with the included stubbies..but its back :)

I did a google search, and the best I can come up with is that IKT is a local chain down by you? Please keep me updated on the Wix filters, my stock is bone dry!

So what do I do here guys? I went to HD, and got a new receipt dated Feb 1st, but I still don't have the original UPC, which according to the Milwaukee site is required for this promo... I'm thinking that I'll send it in anyway, with everything but the UPC, explaining that it was a floor/demo model?? Maybe they'll send it to me anyway...

Bosch PS50-2A-RT factory-refurbished oscillating multi-tool 12vMAX cordless, two batteries, wall charger, typical starter accessory kit with one blade and one sanding pad: $79 at CPO-Outlets on eBay. Next lowest price is refurb $109 at Amazon or Sears, factory fresh $162 at Amazon.

I still think the value leader in this tool area is the Dremel Multi-Max corded, but the Bosch 12v cordless tool line has a good drill and driver so if you're looking to add some 12v tools to your box this can't hurt.

This is not a hot deal but it might be an interesting option
http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...ooglebase-_-D25X-_-202564945&locStoreNum=3625

I have not seen it at a local HD.

At my local Lowes they had a couple Bosch router bits for ~1/3 for sale.
