are all Vaughn hammers made in the USA? The tack hammer I got isn't marked.

I just went to HD, they still had some. Prices weren't as good as some of what the other's posted. I got a small ball pein, a soft faced, and a small tack hammer for $22 w/ tax. The framing hammer was still almost $30 per the yellow tag, didn't bother to check.

I hit another HD on the way home today. They had more, ended up also getting the big ball pein and large rubber mallet. I had them check one other thing, it rang up normal. Still trying to find a nail puller. Seems sold out around here.

In my area, clearance prices on the vaughan hammers vary from store to store. I bought the 23 ounce framing hammer for 11 bucks at one HD and I was in another HD today and it was 17 bucks.

I picked up a Vaughan 16oz ball pein for $7.10 at home depot. They had a tag for the 20oz but none left. I also got my Beta body hammer ($18) and M6 triple square from Amazon.

So you guys have me trolling the Amazon 70% discounts. On Saturday night they had the IR 2125QTiMAX for just $27 each. I placed an order for two of them. From the best I can tell, this is a 1/2" drive in the body of a 3/8" drive so it will be compact but less powerful. A day later the price was up to $224.39. I was going to post it but I wanted to see if my order went through first and I know they jack up the price after one person gets the deal. For me the driver is shipping from Max Tool even though Amazon now indicates that they are the vendor.

So my question is, will "Max Tool" actually send me this item? I bought two of them so I have one to sell when my wife sees the credit card bill.

IIRC someone said if the stuff at HD is marked down to 0.01 it's actually supposed to be taken off the shelves and not sold. I might have read it on here or slickdeals. Some guy bought a wheel barrow for 0.01

^^ hmm so is that my fault?? lol... thats kind of interesting... if its suppose to be taken off and not sold i would think it should be tagged something like 99999999.99 instead of .01

I was in Home Despot tonight and picked up a set of three Senco air nailers for $199 with a wheeled travel bag and some other goodies. Had a finish nailer, brad nailer and a stapler. The tool bin guy said it was a Christmas-only special and wouldn't be restocked.
The three-nailer set was down to $149 at my local HD today.

No Vaughn or Christmas items on display. Looks like they remodeled the entire tool department.

pss damn this thing is tiny... i hope i like it.. im use to the bigger drills, i liked the rugged feel

Thanks gj for emptying my wallet:beer::thumbup::)

I found a deal like this and it got canceled by the marketplace seller. Don't be surprised if it gets canceled or they ship something totally different.

Did you see the pictures I posted? They show each end panel, as well as the front. They are on page 185.

I saw your pictures but they dont compare it to the two piece set which was what i was asking about. Im just trying to figure out if the two piece set has 100$ value on the side because its hard to tell from the ground but I believe the above poster has confirmed that

Thanks

I don't think this was posted... Ridgid 2 pc nailer set for $79. Appears to be clearance as well.

Got all this for $90.

My thanks to whomever posted this Milwaukee M12 3-piece clearance deal in the first place. Here's my small contribution for those who are BUMMED that you can't find the 3-piece set at your local HD.

You can still get the Milwaukee M12 3-piece 2490-22P set from Acme Tools while they last, and it MIGHT even be a better deal than going to HD. Here's the link - and an explanation:

http://www.acmetools.com/tools/Acme...M12+Screwdriver+and+Hackzall+with+Bonus+Drill

When you put it in your cart it will show at $199. Then enter the promo code '15OFF' which makes it $169.15. In the comments section please put 'Garage Journal'. It also SHIPS FREE and there is NO TAX for most states, which makes your TOTAL COST $169.15 delivered to your door. That probably makes it a better deal than going out and picking it up, assuming you pay for fuel and your time is worth anything.

PLUS - unlike any of the sets I have seen at HD, this one has the new RED LITHIUM batteries in the set. And, of course, it's still eligible for the current rebate deal.

I ordered mine Sunday night and received it this morning. Get yours while there are still some left!

Just grabbed some Vise Grip 10CR's from a HD in NJ.

The rack said $5 marked down from $7.88 so I bought the last three.

There is no link on the website, it's in-store only. An associate said they were dumping the all metal ones for the newer ones with the additional plastic grips.

The Vaughan $0.01 nail puller is legit too- found the last one banged to all hell with a $13.97 sticker still on it.

That would not surprise me. Back in the late 90s I worked for a manufacturer in Los Angeles that supplied Home Depot stores in the South East. Our competitor in the Midwest supplied the Western US. I think they kept us around so they would have two vendors to pit against each other. It was odd shipping product to a Home Depot store in Atlanta when the same item from a competitor was sitting on the shelves three blocks away.

I wish that kit came with the impact driver.

That's why I got the 2494-22 kit. It's only two pieces but I don't need the sawzall and the 2494-22 kit comes with the impact gun and drill. Got it for $169 last week on sale at Ace Hardware. Sent off for my free battery too.

The price is back up to $222 at Ace now though.

Amazon still has 'em for $199 with free shipping.
