That's why I got the 2494-22 kit. It's only two pieces but I don't need the sawzall and the 2494-22 kit comes with the impact gun and drill. Got it for $169 last week on sale at Ace Hardware. Sent off for my free battery too.

The price is back up to $222 at Ace now though.

Amazon still has 'em for $199 with free shipping.

I dont see that item number on the rebate form. Are you sure its eligible?

Also CPO seems to be the cheapest on this kit at $199 on amazon, ebay, and their site. Ebay has free shipping

that would be a great marketing ad/slogan/campaign.....

Just grabbed some Vise Grip 10CR's from a HD in NJ.

The rack said $5 marked down from $7.88 so I bought the last three.

There is no link on the website, it's in-store only. An associate said they were dumping the all metal ones for the newer ones with the additional plastic grips.

The Vaughan $0.01 nail puller is legit too- found the last one banged to all hell with a $13.97 sticker still on it.

sweet! i wanna picks some up... which HD did u go to? just to make sure i dont go to the same one which you cleared out ;)

I have the shop vac you linked to... it is quite good and I have experienced no problems with it during heavy usage. I THINK it might have a lifetime warranty too. The filters can be a ***** to clean though and if you are doing some serious work such as demo or drywall where there is a LOT of dust you are better off buying the green colored filter and just tossing it after it gets too clogged to be effective. For things like sawdust and general garage/household cleanup then you could probably get by with any of the filters with the green one being the best. If I was vacuuming mainly debris which was relatively harmless like sawdust or general garage/household dust I'd be okay with cleaning the filters with a hose and then letting them sit out until completely dry before reuse. Point it, if you are vacuuming things which will bother or harm your lungs, buy the best filters and consider them disposable after use. Otherwise you can clean them with a hose outside and reuse them. Just a tip I'd recommend strongly...

Get a Cleanstream filter. It is made of Goretex, you just rinse it with water and reinstall it.

Thats the same thing as every other HF 20% coupon, only you have to spend $100. Any amount over $100 and your losing out using that coupon instead of the standard 20%

i'm going to try to stack it with a super coupon or something excluded by the 20% off, we'll see if it works.

figured guys would want it since it is money off and not a % of one thing with a bunch of exclusions.

Is this a good price? The socket set looks to be sunex. The guy wont come off of his price at all, and cant send a pic showing condition, but says it has only been used 5 times.

What do you all think?

IMO no one buys an impact like that and then only uses it 5 times. If it really is in nearly brand new shape, then I guess its an ok deal if the batteries hold a charge and you are need of a 1/2" battery impact.

You're right. I didnt even think about the batteries not holding a charge. I could get burned for a lot of money if those aren't any good.

Well, back to eyeing tooltopia for a good deal on an IR 1/2" electric impact.

YMMV:
26" Husky top/bottom @ Plymouth, MN Home Depot for $160 on clearance. I only saw one. I think it's this from HD website which states online only. Maybe it was a return, but box looked unopen. I did not buy it. For $160, i'm tempted to go back and grab it. I don't need it, but for $160.

(I did pick up vaughn 24oz hammer for $6)

It's not quite the same. The normal 20% coupon is off of a single item, while this one is off of an order > $100. If you buy lots of little stuff, you'd save more using the "new" one.

You can still get the Milwaukee M12 3-piece 2490-22P set from Acme Tools while they last, and it MIGHT even be a better deal than going to HD. Here's the link - and an explanation:

http://www.acmetools.com/tools/Acme...M12+Screwdriver+and+Hackzall+with+Bonus+Drill

MN4x4, thanks for posting that up. Acme has super fast shipping (1 hour!) and I had my tools in three days (FedEx Ground). Acme event packed a rebate form (free battery) for me. Good guys over there.

I bought this set because I've been eyeing that Hackzall. I'm a weekend warrior and don't want a full-size sawzall. This deal was the perfect "in".

That said, the ergonomics of the driver are ****. The handle is too fat and the reversing lever is right where the index finger sits on the grip. It's fine for forward, but when going backward my index finger is grinding right up against it.

The handle on the drill is just as fat, but the the reversing switch is in a slightly different place. It means less on the drill as one doesn't reverse very often when you have a separate driver. No idea why Milwaukee has a different design for the driver and the drill.

I've got big hands and those handles are still too damn big.

I don't like design of the contacts for the batteries. The two fingers that stick out of the tool will fold in a snap if you manage to insert the battery incorrectly. Then the tool is junk.

In all my futile trips to HD to find this set I discovered I like the DeWalt 12v Li driver and drill much better. The handle is smaller and I like the overall balance better.

I stopped by my the 2 HD's in my area tonight. Snagged a few of the Vaughn Hammers. The Gulfport, MS store had several hammers left, the Biloxi store not as much. I also noticed that the Gulfport store had 3 of the Milwaukee M12 three piece sets for $149 still on the shelf. The Biloxi store had one too, but it was marked $127. The sticker had a check in the box for slow moving stock, but the box had been opened. Nothing appeared to be gone though. So there are a few of the Miluakee sets still floating around.

OSH hardware has the Hitachi 12v combo kit on sale for $159.99
It has a chuck drill, impact driver, reciprocating saw, and flashlight. This kit has the much more useful impact driver as oppose to the screw driver in the Milwaukee kit.

Wow that's much better deal, especially since I want an impact driver. Looks like 2 batteries. Of course, I don't have OSH here.

My local Lowe's ad showed mentioned a Free Bostitch 20 oz framing hammer (#61398) with the purchase of one of the following:

Bostitch Torpedo Level #30167
Bostitch Reel & Chalk Kit #61893
Bostitch 25' Tape Measure #58525
Bostitch 16' Tape Measure #193095
Bostitch Twin Blade Utility Knife #314794

Figured I can always use another utility knife so for $11.75 I got the hammer and knife. The discount is taken at the register.

While walking into the store I saw yellow tags on all of the Mr. Heater 45k and 75k natural gas garage heaters, vent kits, and thermostats. Prices for all are 50% off regular retail. Was hard to resist but I need to insulate, drywall, run electric and then get some help for the actual heater install - maybe next year.
