My file order was just canceled by amazon without explanation, but I think we know why.

I tried to order a "Nicholson Thread File, Metric, Pack of 12". Shipping weight was correct for twelve.

One file showed up.

Bastards.

Just reordered the file deal from another vendor on amazon for about the same price. There are a few vendors offering low prices. How much does a single file like this normally cost?

"It's an addiction I tell 'ya, an addiction." quote from the wife...lol

BTW...candy colored Vaco's?

No kidding. I'm not sure what you mean by "candy colored." They are a transluscent orange color.

Looks like the files are a no-go. They say they have refunded my money....even though something shipped (one file?).

Bastards, indeed.

Husky 1/4" Ratchet - $5.07 (plus tax, for me anyway)

They have these listed as made in Taiwan...I ordered one to make one of those screwdriver handle doohickeys y'all been dealin in...came in the mail today and was a made in USA one. Don't know if it would work out the same for everyone but I was pleasantly surprised.

This might be from the era when Stanley was producing Taiwan/China tools under the Husky name and branding them "USA." There was a lawsuit about it. Very few of the modernish Husky tools were ever produced in the USA. I remember having a "USA" Husky roundhead. It worked pretty well before my dad "borrowed" it. But I suspect it wasn't USA, as I bought it about 2000-2001.

That's probably what it is then. I didn't realize that Stanley made the Huskys.

Oh and a screwdriver handle doohickey is one of those custom ratchets people have been making. The ones where they take a screwdriver handle and put a ratchet in it.

I have a 3/8" USA version that is still on the plastic hanger like that one. It has a big USA logo on the hanger. That makes me thing this is from Asia. However, this was clearly from a different printing so it could just be old enough that they did not need to call this out.

I'll take the OP's word for it. Also, that is a great little ratchet for the money. I love the spin wheel on the back side.

I just put one on order.

My order for files finally shipped from the second vendor. We'll see what shows up. I doubt it's 12 files but we'll see. If not, I'll be emailing amazon. If it's one file, is $11 shipped still an ok price?

I just found these while killing time, no free shipping but I figured they are worth a shot for under $15 dollars total before shipping.

SK "Turbo Grip Sockets $9.17 SRP $229
http://www.amazon.com/SK-833-Standard-Turbosocket-Fastener/dp/B0007GGUEM/ref=pd_ybh_2?pf_rd_p=280800601&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_t=1501&pf_rd_i=ybh&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=04Z1C6GRVJXQ7KGMJBQC

Look to the right where it says "More Buying Choices" and then down at Hugos Online for $3.43 SRP is $74 It says its made in the USA on the amazon link but we will see if the other one even comes. If not I only have $10 bucks ******* in the deal. I have never bought off of one of the things like this so I have no idea what to expect or if I screwed up by doing it or not.

I wonder if those will turn out to be amazon "pricing errors" again like the nicholson file sets. Thanks for posting either way.

I just ordered a set. Lets see if we actually get them. For $12 shipped it is worth the hassle if they actually show up.

Might be worth browsing Hugo's other items for sale. Seems to be quite a few cheaply priced Irwin items.....

Hrmmm.. I thought my SK turbo socket order was being filled by Hugo but it appears as "shoplet" now.....

We'll see what happens.

Just ordered a set of the SK turbo sockets as well. Ordered from a vendor called "shoplet" for $12.23 shipped. I'm even more skeptical because Shoplet's slogan next to it's logo name says "discounted office supplies"? Weird. Anyway, Hugo's was not an option for me -- not even listed at all.

This deal, like the most recent file deal, is a little strange because it looks like there are multiple vendors offering the same deal (within a couple dollars). Almost like it's not a mistake or something. This same set of sockets is like $170 shipped with amazon prime though, so it's just weird to me that more than one vendor would make the error of ~$10-12 shipped.

I'm looking now, I can't find that? Where can I go to see a description like that?

EDIT: I just saw it.. It lists all the correct info under product description, and then there is another product description further down that says that.. Hmmmmm. To cancel or not. I'm assuming it's probably that shoulder rest, but everything else points to the socket set.

I think it will soon be GJ's mission to destroy amazon if they don't pony up with the tools we order on sale.

FWIW, that Shoplet place actually offers a lot of tools from popular manufacturers, Dewalt, proto, armstrong, blackhawk, IR, sk, etc. So I guess there's a chance that the set that's listed is the real thing and not a shoulder rest? I think I'm gonna leave it and see what happens.

Eh, I hope not.

I thank Amazon for the fun it provides....this is like a safe alternative to gambling with a little bit of hunting mixed in....:lol_hitti
I'm not one to take offense if a company makes a mistake, I don't feel they owe me anything.

That's how I ended up with (6) 1/2" DEWALT drills for less than $20.

Homier's website had a price of "$0.00", so I ordered 1, but also added something for like $2 so the invoice wouldn't read $0.00. Sure enough, it came, along with the cheap disposable pick set. So I ordered 5 more along with a cheap 115pc drill bit set for like $10, and they came too. So I went back to order 10 more, and the price was now $99.99.

So I gave 1 to my dad, 1 to my brother, sold 2, and kept 2 that I use quite a bit. They even came with nice DEWALT toolbags.

I did it too. I'm sure the influx of orders will raise suspicion and they will cancel all of them, but we'll see.

Are you guys still getting in on Hugo's online, or are you going with Shoplet?
