The $45 price per set shows as valid for me until 7/16...course, it doesn't show up in the cart that way, but my pre-tax/shipping total should be about $90, not $120.

exactly

Everytime I look at it, the price in the cart is different. Makes no sense whatsoever. I looked at it today twice and the prices in the cart changed. That is, when it doesn't crash my browser. I think they have some Flash implementation problems.

if i log on to craftsman.com account(which has my craftsman club account number on file), i can SEE the $44.99 price good til July 16, but once i add it to the cart, the price jumps to 62.99+tax.

if i log on to sears.com account(which also has my craftsman club account # associated with it), it's at 62.99+tax as well.

might have to actually drop by at a store for this unless their website can get their act together.

Will the stores normally honor the online sale price for stuff like this?

If you have no card or member number yet you're probably SOL. Honestly i wouldnt fret too much, they literally do this sale on these same impact sets at least half a dozen times a year.

Dunno if this was posted before, but everything "Footprint" (The made in Sheffield England stuff) is all on clearance at my Sears. Gentlemens saw, from 45 to 13 I think, and a bunch of others half off.

Great deals at those prices.. I would never pay sticker, but it's good stuff.

Not sure if this is regional, but my Sears is clearancing their Craftsman 26 Gallon compressor. $320 down to $163. I noticed that it is no longer available on their website too, so I'm thinking they are getting rid of this model.

Awesome deal if you're looking for a cheap oilless unit!

Sears Dual 400/150 watts soldering gun 27320 made by Lenk $24.99

normally $60.00 -

the tips can be pricey so it easier to buy the whole thing when they go on sale.

There was an older thread regarding these:

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26266

For reference, the whole part number for the soldering gun is 579.27320
the replacement tip (LG400TE) is on the Sears partsdirect website for $46.96

Sears Craftsman super fender and seat covers marked down to $4.97 each. The wrap around fender covers were $139 or $149 and the seat cover was $24.99. I ordered the small wrap around protector and a seat cover. Even with $8.20 for shipping, it's alot of nylon for under $20 shipped. The UPS man dropped mine off today. I haven't played with it yet but, I figured what the hell for $5 each plus shipping. I doubt if they were made for less than that.:wtf:

Looks like I got the last small fender protector. I bought the large one last time this was posted because they were out of the small ones. The large is for vehicles over 85 inches wide. That is 7 feet wide. Wider than even my 80's full size truck and SUV.

That model is way better than the Weller's. It heats up fast and holds the temperature. You can also grind the tip if necessary.

Save on shipping with Sears, sign up for the 30 day Shipvantage. Cancel it before the 30 days. You can sign up again with a different email address. And it doesn't use a coupon code, so you can stack it with other discounts.

Is there some point to using a soldering gun vs typical soldering iron?

Once I had a decent temp controlled iron I never used a gun again.

When trying to solder a larger thermal mass, the higher power output and higher heat capacitance of the gun become important.

Thanks to this thread I have a new soldering gun, been wanting to replace my current one with tips like srmofo showed. Funny thing, the in-store showed 1 in stock, went there at lunch and was 2 on the shelf, so my co-worker bought one for himself also.
