It is not possible for google to track every store in real time. They probably do it weekly. That and I don't know about your sears but when they do the GearWrench half off sales or other sales, they don't always have the prices changed in the store. It's just easier to buy online and pick up in store.

That said I think I am going to order the metric stubby set for $34.99 and the ratcheting 56pc screwdriver set for $17.49 since I missed them last time. Using the SEARS2011 $5 off $50 code $47.48 plus tax isn't bad.

$17.50 for the ratcheting driver is a good price too, but make sure you really want it. I bought one when on sale a while ago and never really used it.

I think this matte black finish worker is a very nice tool regardless of price or COO. It is noticeably lighter weight than early 80's SK 18" I compared it to, prominent recess in the handle equals less steel I assume, but feels very accurate/tight in adjustment. Didn't think to compare jaw width and depth. I'm curious to see how it resists gouging on the jaw faces. I wasn't expecting much at that price but if I had handled one before I would have ordered 4. Now they need to similarly discount the 24". Really like the Klein needle noses from the same sale but those were no surprise.

If you're looking online, search for "vortex" in tools. The product pages for them are broken but the add-to-cart button works fine. The 2pc roto ratchet set and 56pc ratcheting screwdriver/nutdriver set are also among the sale items.

Backing out a bolt and getting "stuck" being able to reverse it lets you tighten it back up and get the wrench off. I'm almost ashamed to say I've done it and I ended up taking a bunch of other stuff apart that I shouldn't have needed to, granted it was my own fault but having a reversing wrench in that scenario would have been nice to have.

Here's one that came in a mailer from Advance Auto. $5 oil change kit. There's no mention of needing to buy an "oil change special" to get the $5 kit. I'm going to try picking up a kit or 2 today.

Backing out a bolt and getting "stuck" being able to reverse it lets you tighten it back up and get the wrench off. I'm almost ashamed to say I've done it and I ended up taking a bunch of other stuff apart that I shouldn't have needed to, granted it was my own fault but having a reversing wrench in that scenario would have been nice to have.

I've been there and done that too.

to me that is a blessing and a curse.
It is nice to not have to worry about the wrench falling too deep and off the bolt head or nut, but there have been a few times when I would have liked to approach the fastener with the wrench facing the other way.

I really don't need the pan, but guess it wouldn't hurt to have another one.
I would say for changing the oil on the motorcycle, but I usually use a plastic
"3 lb" container that Maxwell House coffee comes in, then I can put the lid on, and dispose of the oil right in the same container.

X2. I prefer those because the boxed-end is 180* to the wrench handle, so it allows you to slip the wrench in tighter places. I don't care for the "reversible" style either.

I went today and picked up two of the oil change kits for $10.95 (9 1/2% TN sales tax).

Receipt showed: Your advertised savings today! $9.92

So, basically, the $5 oil change kit is 50% off all of the items in the kit.

Each item will ring up regular price until you get to the last item and the system will then recognize it as the oil change kit and mark each item down.

After checking online to see if my (somewhat) local Sears had the set I went and picked it up. The set (which was mixed in with the ratchet and socket sets) was marked full price but rang up for $17.50. A crazy deal. I've had the standard and stubby driver handles for some time. They work great but I was limited with the one standard shaft.

The extensions alone generally cost about $15.00 or more. And I had no idea there was a flex shaft available. That will come in mighty handy at work.

It's a shame, the case is nice but the lack of carry handle makes it rather awkward and inconvenient.

These 18" wrenches are a beast. I needed a big wrench around the house for the occasional use and these fit the bill perfect. As cheap as the HF but better quality. I paid around $10 for shipping and I ordered the long nose pliers, 18"wrench, and a flashlight ( wish I would have gotten a different one though, I didnt notice it takes C batteries)
