Thanks for the heads up. I purchased the 1/2" set and am very happy with it. I was on the fence on buying the 3/8" for $50 + S&H, but I'm in for one at this price.

They're made in Taiwan, and actually very well designed and manufactured.

I believe that the fact that you've never heard of them is part of why they're being clearanced from Sears. Sears was their only USA distributor and barely marketed them. People won't buy brands they don't see actively marketed or advertised.

I haven't seen one of those in a while. Clearance might be YMMV since most stores may have clearanced them away a while ago.

Yep, from what I've seen they are the same as the paintball cylinders. Wal-Mart used to do a tank exchange program for these. Not sure if they still do but it was less than $10 from what I remember.

Called one of the Advanced Autos and they didn't have any in-stock, but did show that it was priced at 26.99. Called the second Advanced Auto and they had one in stock, but gave me some run-around that it was still 249.99 b/c some SKU number change, blah blah blah.

I asked to speak to a manager regarding the issue and got the same run-around. Oh well.

The one guy said something was wrong with the system or warehouse or something, showing in stock online when they really weren't. Didn't seem like they were pulling a fast one or anything, they both punched the SKU in, and reported back straight away that it was discontinued and when I pushed to see if they might have one, they both said they did not. Oh well. Killer deal.

Every store in my area has the lifts. I almost got one too, until some douche wandered by and screwed the pooch for me.

The website said that my local store has one so I just drove up there and their computer shows none in stock. In fact he looked and they haven't had one for nearly two years. The problem is the sku number listed is correct BUT the link the OP posted is does not match the sku. What he linked to is the newer / replacement for the discontinued sku. All of the stores in my area have the item he linked too for $250 and none of them have the sku number that was posted.

I agree. My stores have the new one but nut the discontinued one.

What is SD? Where did this info come from? trying to get the right info because I think I found one and I need it to honor price.

EDIT: The guy in Norwood said they had a T32001 but that was $249 and not discontinued. SKU # 9040044 was discontinued and no one in the company had or could get one.
