someone showed how that can be construed as shoplifting since you're depriving the store of the ability to sell the item

I picked up an item in tools and then while perusing the miniblind section decided to not buy it and set it down on the shelf.

I would love to have store try to stick shop lifting on me for that. I bet the lawyers would line up for a 30% shot of that libel suit!

Anyone know of any black friday mig welder deals?

Right now both the 110 and both 220 are onsale at HF, $119 and $189/$199and you can toss a 20% coupon on them since its a sale and not a coupon.

If you get one check weldingweb for mods on both of them, some cheap additions make these very tame welders that can use gas.

I will admit the torch handle is cheesy and the length from box to torch tip is barely 6' but for the price they're really hard to beat.

with wiha should I get the chiseldriver or lasertip? Or the set thats on sale, the microfinish?

The chisel driver seems like they would last for thousands of years where the lasertip seem super useful, and the micrfinish are just a bargain that may be just as good? anyone tried them all? Any screwdriver better? I heard klein was? THanks!

welders are one of the excluded items on the 20% coupon. read the fine print

When they first came out they did a half price sale, but I haven't seen the pro pry bars on sale since then.

I haven't seen the pro bars on sale either, but fwiw I bought the regular set that's on sale now for $17.99, and they're great value for that money.

I haven't seen this yet posted here (apologies if I've missed it.)

There's a thread started on Saturday about an eBay seller selling a bunch of Williams USA midget wrenches on eBay. $1 each new, with very reasonable shipping if you buy them in a group. (I bought 19 wrenches for $29.) Here's the thread:

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=124865

edit: Forgot to mention, he's been selling them fast but every time a size is sold out he puts another 10 up for sale, so he has quite a number in stock.

I bought all 19 as well. He sent me a note saying he had "thousands" of the wrenches! I haven't gotten a shippment notification yet, but he most likely has his hands full packing orders. Seemed like a good seller; responded to questions quickly and was more than happy to combine shipping.

Nothing like a Dickies "real" sale to lock up the web site, but I am willing to wait.

Maybe find an OLD 20% off HF coupon without the restrictions and see if it works.

Tempting on the midget wrenches, Williams is better than Craftsman I assume, but if this guy has thousands maybe he will offer a set "deal" better than $29 for 19 wrenches?

That's a good deal. I purchase the same model at the Fastenal Outlet store for $215 when it was $235 at amazon.

What sold me at Fastenal Outlet was that it came as a bundle with a corded Bulldog sawzall for the $215. NIB!!

In case anyone else is in need of one, Amazon has the
Bosch 11255VSR BULLDOG Xtreme 1-Inch SDS-plus D-Handle Rotary Hammer
For $156 shipped right now, it was $220 for a long while.

What are the chances of the pro pry bars being on sale? Maybe soon?

I've been watching them for a good 6 months now, where they are now ($47) is the lowest they'll ever probably get. Get them; they are worth the premium over the regular red handles.

I decided to go for them anyway, today I ordered in-store and it was about $45 total. Can't wait to use them, as I've only used the Black HF bars which were questionable at best.

I just picked up a Hobart 187 from tractor supply for 399.99. The 187 is being replaced by the 190 and it cost about 820.

That was posted once before and it is very limited where these are available.

I can vouch for none of them being in the south west ohio area

Also Tool-topia has a pretty good price on the master cool IR temp gun $35
http://www.tooltopia.com/mastercool-52224a-sp.aspx

IIRC regular price is around $50-$60

I have four left in my general area. 2 in Malone NY , 2 in Watertown and 1 in plattsburg. The deals do vary some display models are 400 and still the box are 500.

Craftsman Pry bars

FWIW: Wilde Tools is the OEM on these. Epsteins has quite a selection of Wilde tools. (good prices too).

http://store.harryepstein.com/search?q=wilde
The red hard handled prybars are Wilde, but the black soft handle Pro prybars are Mayhew. Last time I ordered the catalog-only 5pc kit, it drop-shipped direct from Mayhew. I bought two sets in September, ordered in-store and got out for around $95 with tax.

This isn't the hottest deal ever, but it's not bad and a real easy way to get started on a basic fastener assortment. Amazon has ATD fastener assortments, thru 1/2in or 16mm, on sale down to under $70 each. They're imported but it's a decent assortment, I use Midwest but one of my buddies just got these to clean up his supply area. MET or STD, on backorder but the prices are still good.
