This is pretty much how I use Princess Auto. The only thing I've bought online was that big 3/4 breaker bar recently that I noticed on this thread. I really like to go to the store and handle things because it has a mix of true **** and some really acceptable tools, I like to see them in person.

I got a call from princessauto that my order had to be cancelled since they ended up being out of stock on the impact sockets that I had ordered, but they let me still order the wrenches the next day with free shipping. I just got shipping confirmation today.

I belong to the Craftsman club? Are you a member? It is free. The folks on the Craftsman Club website are buying this as it's the cheapest we have seen for a set of three made in the USA. Regular price is $159.99 and they have a hard time staying in stock.

I had one fail after maybe 5 uses and just a year of owning and the night I needed it most it failed to adjust. I thought it had the Craftsman lifetime guarantee. Went to get a replacement and find out it's only 1-yr. I complained enough and they upgraded me (had to to pay the difference) to a similar spec Digitork model. What a POS. You have to pull and twist, pull and twist... to set the torque. Makes it annoying and time consuming.

Returned that and ordered a GearWrench KDT85073 Electronic Torque Wrench with Angle. Smooth sailing ever since. Buyer beware on the CM torque wrenches.

My somewhat local Sears had the 3/8 and 1/2 version clearanced. One looked like it was an open return, but something just didn't feel quite right about them. I think I'll stick with a beam. Maybe I'll get lucky in the Secret Santa swap this year.

i'm going to head over to Fastenal this morning to see if they have any of this in the store as I was going to order the $19 metric set (above) but when I got to $11 shipping decided to pass.

Most of that "internet security" and even most virus protection programs are just bloatware. They have little value and constantly run in the background, sucking up resources and bogging the computer down.

Have a basic virus program running and be smart on the internet. That's all you need.

So I went to Fastenal today... they don't have any craftsman in stock... and they did a search around and no surrounding stores have any craftsman... they said they haven't had any in a long time as they are selling gearwrench.

So clearly the main warehouse is clearing out the old craftsman stock... some items (below) seem like really great prices, i.e. some of the metric socket/ratchet sets for $20.

Because this is old stock... probably a good bet it's US made.

Good luck... by the way if you decide to order, you may want to get a couple of different items to get beyond the initial $10 freight charge and smooth that cost over a few items.
