Just saw this at Lowes and I was kinda surprised it had not been posted yet as this would be great for someone on the fence about picking up some Dewalt stuff.

If you trade in a Rigid, Makita, Milwaukee, Craftsman, or Panasonic cordless product you get $50 off of any 20v or 18v Dewalt cordless Drill/Driver, Impact, or Combo kit over $150. The fine print says must include a battery and a charger, but if you don't have, this non working type junk can be had for free, just ask a pawn shop if they have any old cordless stuff that doesn't work. It looks like the 20v drill & Impact are both on sale for $199 so $149 doesn't sound too bad. Kinda strange that its a "Trade-In Event" that only lasts 3 days?? My store had a huge bin to "throw the old tools in", it was completely empty half way through the "Event".

FYI - was just checking out the Harbor Freight super coupons I got in email.

The 15% off 65.00 or more does NOT specify it cant be used on Tool Carts. The other two % off coupons DO specify that. So if you are thinking about the red service cart, now might be the time (although the web shows it at 199 $currently, so 15% off that isnt the BEST price ever for it)

That cart is awesome but wait for it to go on sale for $149. If you compare it the the black one that is reg $149 usually on sale for $99 you'll choose the red everytime. Very heavy gauge drawers and fit and finish is pretty remarkable, we love ours!

Yeah, I swore I saw it down to $149 at one point. This coupon brings it down to about $169 which isnt too bad if you have to have it right away (I dont).

The coupon doesnt end until Sunday so who knows if they release a new sale price on Sunday and have some overlap with the coupon.

Thanks, let us know how it is. Might be worth a drive from the west side.

I got a hold of the lady, they are an ex-dealer, I am assuming 80's - 90's.

She sent me some files of what she has. Some of the part numbers I can figure out, but some stuff are NOS and cant google the #'s.

HOW do you upload a excel file? It has all the stock they got

Her email:

Hello,

Just so that you have an idea of what we have, I'm attaching lists of what we have inventoried, including former Kijiji ads, Promotional Merchandising Items and Jackets. We also have other items such as clocks, dart boards, diecast cars of Nascar drivers such as Dale Earnhardt.,girly mugs from the 80's, old calendars,Tshirts, Shirts, Teddy Bears,Key rings, towels etc.
I suggest that you print out the lists if you can.. There are about 40 pages to look through, and other people have said it drove them crazy to try to read it on their smartphones etc.
We are a former franchise, out of business for several years, liquidating our stock, in order to make back what we paid. Basically, we are asking 25% off the List Price when we were last in business.. Where we show a "List Price" we are asking 25% less than that price. Where we show an "Asking Price", that is what we are wanting to get.
The Kijiji ads already have the 25% taken off. Some of the Kijiji ad prices are different than what is listed. I had mispriced some of them, but to redo the entire list is quite long and involved, so I may quote some different prices for some of the Kijiji items. Also, some of the items from the Kijiji lists are already sold.
If you are asking me a question about a particular tool, would you please refer to it's stock number on the left, or the line number it is on (that's at the farthest point to the left on the page). . I'll be able to give you an answer much more quickly then. I'm not totally familiar with everything by description
And of course, it's cash only, no tax.
My cell number 416-882-0715. You are also welcome to set an appointment to come and see the tools we have for sale. I'm available to show the tools Mondays to Fridays, 1p.m. to 8 p.m, Saturdays 11 a.m.to 6 p.m,, and Sundays 2 p.m to 5 p.m., We are in the area northeast of Markham Road and Lawrence Ave. East, at 2 Armada Court,. in Scarborough, Postal Code M1G 1X1.
Thank you for your interest.

Milwaukee M12 XC Lithium-Ion Cordless Tool Battery $39.99

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002ZM6R12

So I just received this. FYI it is not the Red version. If you read the reviews, they WERE selling the Reds, even tho the picture does not reflect it and the description does not say it. In fact, I previously ordered an XC battery from Amazon (at a higher price) and it was a Red, even tho it did not say it was on the web page.

I'd guess Amazon got a large batch of NOS to clear out. However, I really don't care. I don't have any complaints with the non-Red batteries. And at $40 I have no complaints at all.

If they're reversible then they are offset. I don't believe they make a reversible wrench without an offset. There really wouldn't be any point in it.

Just ordered the 309 pc mechanics set for my bro-in-law and the Mayhew 5 pc prybar set for me. Thanks to the OP's for the heads up. Just hope the mech set isn't ChiCom made.

Any oil with the word GREEN in it is overpriced and in my mind a false argument. I'll stick with my Mobil 1 Synthetic

Wish it was open to more brands. I've got a 12v Dewalt and a 18v Hitachi that I'd totally trade in for a new Dewalt

Since when is free "overpriced"? Lol

I did this deal last summer and it took about 4 months to get a check in the mail. With the check they sent a $20 rebate form saying "try it again".

not sure if this qualifies as a hot deal.... maybe a "luke warm" deal at best.

however i know there are some on the forum that like hazet tools... i was on chadstoolsbox.com and looks like they are discontinuing some/most of them

in their discontinued thread they are marked down at 23% off

http://chadstoolbox.com/closeoutdiscontinued.aspx

also there are some steeper discounts on knipex stuff

The description for the SAE Gearwrench set at Sears does not say offset like the metric and I don't trust my interpretation of the picture. Can anyone confirm that they are offset?

I just picked up a set and they are offset. They are also $39.99 on the shelf. They don't have to be ordered online.

It's green because IIRC it doesn't come from traditional hydrocarbons, and it gets very good results according to info I've read from people who've actually used it. I believe it's all biodegradable and stuff (at least, moreso than traditional crude-based oil).

Oh, and it's free.

I have a jug, but I'm overloaded in 5w-30 and haven't used it yet.

ETA: There are a lot of "green" products that advertise falsely. This does not seem to be one of them.

Yes newer oils seem to be going this way however its important to mention that its "earth friendly" only when its new. Once you put it through your engine the same rules apply as any oil.

Mobile 1 Synthetic. Doesn't go near my Subaru's.

IIRC, this green oil got ratings that made a lot of the subaru guys really interested over at nasioc. I think it was on par with Motul if Im not mistaken.

Id try it out in a few of my cars, kept they don't sell it near me.

Yo Eric, 'Preciate the confirmation, I was wondering as the pic in the add almost looks like the 3/8 and 1/2 rats are EXTRA shiny/cheap looking. It'll be the first tool set my Brother-in-Law has so he should like them. Not a bad set for a 16 y.o.:3gears:
