When I saw, "I keep my power tools in Systainer storage cases", I thought, we have the Imelda Marcos of storage in our presence.
I'm a hoarder with OCD.

mine are very rarely taken out of my house.. my "work area" is in the basement since this friggin house doesnt have a garage, and i keep all my m12 stuff laid out in the top of my HF 44" chest.. the small stuff gets me though most of little jobs, so i was kinda looking for a way to store the bigger m18 tools since they dont see tons of action here. if i use them, its likely an outdoor project, so thats why i had the ridgid box in mind. this way i can just keep most of them together and move em around as a set. im not a huge fan of the contractor bags, but im not exactly sure how much i can fit in the ridgid box either..
just looking for ideas - and maybe give some people a chance to show off what they've come up with.. im not married to the idea of portable storage. in fact - adding another side locker to my HF tool chest is seeming like a good option too.

I kinda like this too. Could hold air tools as well. I'm just not much of a wood worker. Have plans for it somewhere?I really like this idea to store cordless tools like drills and drivers. It looks nice, works well and is easy to make.
I like that French cleat system. This is how I do my drills, I copied the idea from someone else on here, I don't remember who to give proper credit though:

I am changing from Makita to Festool and will keep them in the systainer boxes. Have treated myself for Christmas so am expecting a big delivery of Festool product :thumb:
I have normally just kept them in a seperate tool box, but I am changing from Makita to Festool and will keep them in the systainer boxes. Have treated myself for Christmas so am expecting a big delivery of Festool product :thumb:![]()
I don't throw any away, but it is just extra work to open the cabinet, locate the box (potentially move others), open the box, pull tool out rather than just having it handy.I guess I'm the only one that loves original tool cases. I don't have a pic but I just shove all the cases in a tall cabinet.
Great ideas, thanks for the photos. There's part of my storage, several tools missing. Hackzall, oscillating tool, search light, and another drill and impact are in the Packout right now. Circular saw is on my woodworking bench. Impact wrench and inflator are in the roadside box in the car. Several tools in the house as well.
