I have 9, with the brand new never been used 3/8 Zyklop on the way out. Just can't get past how goofy it looks and that it is foreign.

Couldn't tell you how many I have. In my opinion its like money once you have your needs covered and a good cushion the number becomes less important.

I dont know why you guys have so many ratchets, I rarely use ratchets... I've got:

1/4" - 3 (One snap-on, one cornwell, one mac)
3/8" - 2 (Snap-On standard, snap-on extra long locking flex head)
1/2" - 2 (One snap-on, one cornwell extra long flexhead)
3/4" - 1 (Snap-on)

Non pro. Around 30. Do 90% of wrenching on my own vehicles and alot on everyone elses. Do more than the average non pro yet not as much as a pro. You have to have 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4. 3/8 and 1/2 need multiple lengths. Including a couple flex heads somewhere in there. Then maybe a 1/4 stubby.. Throw a 1/4 and 3/8 in the truck and car. One in the. Boom they add up quick

After my most recent string of package arrivals, I'm up to:
5x 1/2"
3x 3/8"
2x 1/4"
1x 1/2" breaker bar
Might be up to 4x 3/8" if I win my eBay bidding battle.

This is the kind of thread that could start a divorce.

As soon as I get my tools out of my house that my ex wife is living in I can count my ratchets. Ironic, funny, but sadly true. Not the divorce but the fact my tools arnt with me.

JBradley, i have gone through a divorce.. i lost literally ALL my tools.. the only power tools i got was the ones i left with my dad before i got thrown out of her house.. i didnt even get anything for the restoration work i did on her 1975 SR5 Corolla..

Ilovevocs, my chum, take it from me.. move on..
Do not try to get anything back that will remind you of the life you once had.. rebuild your life, your dignity and your toolboxes..

Methinks I have 5 Craftsman raised panel ratchets. 3 in their original set box, and 2 in my M/C tools bag.

Add 4 Armstrong Ratchets purchased due to GJ. 2 more of the little GW palm ratchets, also due to GJ. And I think I have a couple of no-name ratchets floating around somewhere or other.

Got another 2 craftsman ratchets tonight from my granddad. Gave me two brand new craftsman socket sets. One set came with raised panel 3/8" ratchet and the other set came with the 1/2" fine tooth low profile ratchet.
Up to 12 now.

I have 3 x Gedore 1993Z ratchets which are 1/2''.. then a Gedore 1993 U 2 in 1/2''.. also a Gedore 1993 U 10 T also 1/2''.. and a no name brand 1/4''.. thats 6 which are all purchased 2nd hand.. i am loosing myself to an addiction of all things ''ratchetty''!.. i said enough is enough but then the craziest thing happened! I found a 12mm 3/8 socket in my box of which i dont know where the hell it came from and now…… i am looking for a 3/8 ratchet with the Gedore name on it..

(FYI: in ''down and out South Africa'', Gedore is one of our better brands..)

You know the GJ motto . . . . Pics or It Didn't Happen !! :D

You'll likely need about 10 consecutive posts using 7 pics each to display !! :rocker:

GJer's will be fine with pics for now . . . . Database with details later !! :bounce:

Oh, believe me CNG, I'd bet he's well beyond 900..........

2 x 1/4" drive (one in my work toolbox)
3 x 3/8" drive (one in car toolbag, and one a horrible cheapie, purchased in a kit as the cheapest way to double up on some socket sizes)
2 x 1/2" drive (one a horrible cheapie as above)
1 x 3/4" drive

So 8 ratchets. A lot more than I would have guessed to be honest! I survived with a single 3/8" ratchet for years...

I made the mistake of leaving my tools at my house that my ex-wife was living in. When she was finally gone so were the tools!

I took my Gedore model 1993 U 2 in to Gedore Cape Town today.. there were no splines left to turn any bolts.. so it kept slipping.. i was expecting them to book it in & gimme a long story about quality & assesment.. but the guy came out of the office with brand new 1993 U 3 and just said, ''here you go boss, brand new & ready to go''.. then he smiled & thanked me for coming out to them..

From now on, i am a Gedore fan for life..
