Update: Keep in mind when reading this that I ordered this back on 16 Dec and have been told 7 different delivery dates dating back to mid Jan.

I am supposed to get this Icon order on the 21st, called Monday since I have not been contacted for delivery. The person I spoke to Gave me a number to Ryder (delivery company) and told me to give them a call. I called them and was told that they no longer do business with Harbor Freight. Confused is an understatement!

Yesterday I call Icon back and tell them what happened. They says yes sir as of Monday 14 February, Icon no longer uses Ryder for delivery and that my tool box is at the Oklahoma City Hub store.

Evidently they are changing the delivery process, was told that the Oklahoma City hub store had received it and it has been inspected for damage and I would be contacted later this week for delivery.

60 days and counting gotta love this supply chain debacle.

More to follow.................

That makes sense, I stumbled on a YouTube video where a guy was filming his delivery. Person fast out refused to put it in his building saying it wasn't their job. It went bad quick, they tried to refuse delivery and make him come get it. Not sure if thst was Ryder or not. But there was a call between he and harbor freight discussing that the delivery service they hire wasn't doing what they were paid to do.

Sorry to hear it, but hopefully you get straightened out. I've nit gotten a followup to confirm time on mine so I'm assuming it's still tomorrow

Yeah evidently Ryder was kicked to the curb because of their inability to perform IAW the contract. I have spoke to my local HBF manager and she tells me that my stuff is in Chickasaw Oklahoma (40 Miles north of me) and I should get a delivery confirmation call today. Wishing you the best as far as your delivery tomorrow!

IMO the person delivering the box was correct - it's not their job. Why should someone that delivers a giant toolbox be expected to put it inside someone's building? They should place it on the person's driveway and their job is over IMO- it has been delivered. What if the person has a gravel driveway? Plus, if they put it inside and damage something in the process, then they're liable. Are they expected to unpack it also?

Steve I get it but harbor freight tells you one thing then subcontracts it out to a delivery service. Harbor freight paid for a service that wasn't getting performed by the delivery service though. And innthe case I'm referencing they delivered to a business. Guy was opening a shop just hadn't opened for business yet so he didn't haver everything there. He didn't even live there he flew in to unlock the building so they could bring it in...... as far as setup no they don't install it. Hf actually does a good job with the roll chest and It has a ramp inthe bottom drawer to roll it off its pallet after you remove the stops at one end.

I've run into this issue several times with furniture stores where you buy something and they offer white glove assembly and you pay extra andnthd delivery service says we don't do that.....

Clear mis communication.

In my case it's a box truck being delivered to a residence. I'm hopeful they will atleast set it in my garage since it's pouring rain......

The Right Hand and the Left Hand don’t always talk to each other in person; they often have to use another exit point of the body to communicate as the mouth is busy.
Unfortunately there are only two exit points of the body left for you to deal with.
You get to choose between the front or rear opening, neither of which are fun to deal with.

That ***** to hear. The 2 Ryder guys that delivered mine were great. Parked the truck in the street and hauled the box up the (short) inclined driveway and into the garage. This was a year ago though.

Hope you got it. Finally found mine in a store 30 miles from me. My order is not complete, missing a locker! Story continues!!! Not sure what the plan is to get it to me, Icon hasn't responded to HF Manger to let him know what their plans are or the fact that the order is incomplete

I did get it all intact, deliver guys brought all the boxes into the garage and were super nice.

I grossly underestimated the amount of packing material would be involved with these hahaha.

I actually feel like the finished product is better and more sturdy then the store display.

Have some Jack's handy to get your lockers set and level. I still need to move the right lockers casters to the outside.

Looks Great, I may cancel mine this Morning as my order has been sitting in whare house since the 24 of January 30 miles north of me and it's not complete. They have no plan to get it to me. ICON deleted one of my side lockers from my order.

So after countless phone call to ICON,I had a senior Mgr from ICON Call me this morning, they are making it worth my wait. They gave me a free membership to Inside track, that allows me to get 20% 1 item per day thru Monday total savings will be $1721 and also gave me an in store credit card with $500 on it, for a total of $2221 back to me. I originally paid $8350, so with my 20% I'll end up paying $6629 and get a $500 gift card.

I went to the store today and got my first 20% off of the cabinet ($653 total including tax refunded ) tomorrow I will do one side locker, Sunday I'll do the other one and Monday I'll do the hutch. It's making me feel better about all the Bs.

Still unsure where my other locker is but they are aware of it, or when they will deliver what's here.

Almost a week later and nowhere closer to order delivery:cry: Order actually was picked up from the HUB store Tuesday by the transport company but we had a bad Ice storm yesterday. High was 18 degrees, might warm up a bit today.

I hope they can locate my other locker, little skeptical about having to have one shipped from Taiwan-may never get it with China Looming...

Good luck Mike, hope this all gets sorted soon. From my experience Harbor Freight wasn’t prepared to support the tool storage line - at this point the product is far superior to the buying and support experience.

I'll echo that statement, I'm lucky I did t have delays or delivery issues. But just purchasing it alone was a bit of an ordeal and almost sent me on another path.

In the end I'm happy I pushed it and got thr setup.

Mike I hope they get you squared away soon!

My Saga is almost over, I got a partial delivery yesterday afternoon. Delivery company was fantastic, they unpacked everything and took all the trash.

Had a friend come over after he got off of work and help me with the hutch. That SOB is Heavy! Still missing a locker but I'm almost there. Oh and I got the light too.

Tried posting a picture, kept getting an error.

Hey that's good news! Your delivery was better than mine hahha. I had to pack off all the trash, but still happy.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts once you get setup. I felt like a new one was actually more sturdy then the display

Yeah it was a wait, but worth it. Be glad when I get the other locker. I'm not in the Mechanic profession but do have a tool fetish.:)

So on Sunday, there I was. Messing around in the garage, was working on a stool and needed to remove cushion. It was stuck so i climb up on the foot rail and gave her a hard yank and it came out causing me to lose my balance, fell forward and a drawer on my ICON locker stopped my fall right below the eye.image.jpg
