Yeah I saw that it is a SK just wasn’t sure what exactly I’m dealing with.
Any idea for the year range ?

How's it work? Is it SK or SK Wayne? squirt a couple drops of oil in it, and it will last another 40 years or so.
It's a mystery as to why SK doesn't bring that ratchet back.
You probably over paid for the Sears wrench but, that's ok since you did well on the ratchet. A long, long time ago, like 40-45 years, before Sears sold companion and evolve, their budget line below Craftsman was simply branded SEARS. Nothing fancy, mostly imported but, not that bad, no frills, get stuff done around the house type tools. The wrench actually looks pretty good for its age. You must have a lot better swap meets in your area than I do.![]()

gah!
ten bucks?!?!?!?
almost as bad as girlfriend giving away the Edgar Martinez bobblehead to Goodwill.

That ratchet, you can still get a ratchet repair kit for it.I emailed SK to send me out one and they did

Also got this for 25cent, nothing special but I figured since Sears is not around anymore that I’ll take it .
I agree it's a later production run. The later ones were a little thinner and knurling not as aggressive. Also, the selector switch is a newer design. I have one similar but doesn't say anything around the anvil. I paid I think $35 on Ebay and yours looks brand new.
I put a DT80 mechanism in mine and it's one of my favorite ratchets to use. I have an older SK Wayne but I have retired it and added it to my collection.
Funny you say that because I also got this for 10$, the lady had a yard sale today.
Yes the suckage is present here !
Can you post a pic of that vintage craftsman ratchet ? I dont think ive seen one with a selector like that one has.
Also, what brand is that polished 14 mm wrench ? Looks nice !
Any idea what year this was released from? That was my first socket set. I think it was about $100 on sale. The only big deficiency was the lack of 12 and 14mm 3/8 deep sockets.
If the 3870, has aggressive knurling, it would be older than my original guess.
What's the codes stamped on the Craftsman sockets?
Post dresser era so no earlier than 1980s. The S-K has a dash not a dot and doesn't have <SK> nor a bold lettering. I would put it early 90s.
Looking for the following Plomb Pebbles Wrench 3061
Awesome, looks like early 2000s
What got my curiosity is that ratchet, I know it’s a V series but I can’t seem to find one with a switch like that, almost looks like it has been replaced at one point .
That isn't a factory switch. Someone put that switch in from either a flex head or torque wrench.
