I don't think cut outs are standardized in size. With both of my sinks (old and new replacement) the 33x22 dimension was the exterior dims of the sink itself as seen above the counter. Cut out sizes for each were different too, but close. The prior installer had done a terrible job cutting out the counter for the old sink, but they cut it just big enough to drop in the sink (which is significantly smaller than the size the instructions called for). I had to do a little trimming to get the new one to fit but it wasn't bad.Stupid question on sink size
I see they sell 33x18 and 32x18
They also sell 33x22 and 32x22
Are these rough openings or how can I measure my current sink to order the right size sink?
The depth would be nice to have a 9" over an 8", just some minor plumbing work underneath right?
If you can find the make/model of your old sink you may be able to look up the installation instructions online to find the cut out size.
