The nearest Lowes is an hour away from me. Home Depot is 2 blocks away. I know HD does price match. Anyone know if they stock this set? And how do I go about price match without an ad, and no internet on my phone?

EDIT: I just checked HD website, searched knipex, no results. But that really doesn't mean they don't sell them in stores.

Well, you guys are enablers.

As mentioned before, I got a $25 Lowes card for Christmas. I had these pliers in my hands yesterday and did not buy 'em. Something told me to wait. They had plenty.

Thanks to this thread, I went to the linked site, and got another $10 off with a web order, used my gift card...and supposedly they'll be waiting for me at the store. $21.17. One awesome deal.

Thanks again to this thread and the posters with the great info.

I pity the fool who would bypass a deal like this in favor of some "cheap" pliers from harbor freight....

I also saw the 3 channellock set with free 6-1 screwdriver for 28 dollars. It was all I could do from buying a set

Can't really say that I blame them, and I'm surprised that so many of you are able to use those coupons.

I'm totally shocked some Lowes will take them. My guess is soon they will educate their employees so there is consistent handling of such things.

My lowes had this Greenlee (I don't even like them) set Reg 69.95, sale 39.95 on special 21.95. I called my store and had them put one at the customer service desk. I was going to get a few sets but they only had 1 left. I guess I'll have to give it to me, lol

Some killer deals out there right now

How did you get this price? There listed as $39.95 online for me. Thanks, Ben

They had the sitting at the reduced price and had the special price beside that. Still show 39.95 on the website. I think it was a Christmas special and just clearing out some room. I have to stop going to lowes. I'm staying to lose control, lol

I saw that set and wasnt really impressed

Me either but my mind said 5 dollars each for the pliers and 1 dollar each fro the screwdrivers and talked myself right into it. I was thinking of going into theropy but I can keep the tool sickness for less money:lol_hitti

I used one of the codes in the link when I checked out on line, and it worked. I'm sorry to report that I don't recall which code i used. I just chose one and tried it. I really expected to have to try a few but the first one worked.

There was something in the link that suggested trying a different store if the code doesn't work the first..then switching back.

Just got home from Lowes, got my 2nd Knipex pair for $21.92. Now Im trying to get the code to work on the Knipex 5 piece set, but no luck. Is the web special code only for Knipex cobra 2pc set?

Yeh...got another set late last night (like after midnight) with the coupon; just a bit over $21 w/tax. Then still sleeping this morning and get a call @ 7:30 telling me its ready.
Really didn't need to be woken up when I'd already got the confirmatory email! Also, the wife will now know I've bought another tool!:lol_hitti

How do you order these online? I probably wont get a chance to run to the store. I added them to my cart but it shows shipping is $60.

I asked the guy at Lowes if they were going to discontinue the Knipex line. He told me that no plans as iof yet but the line as a whole isn't selling. When things don't sell they make room for things that do. It wouldnt hurt my feelings to see Knipex go on clearance. I would like to see them bring Klein back. The way it looks right now Ideal and Greenlee are dominating sales.

I first brought up the part:
http://www.lowes.com/pd_333852-1046...d=-1&storeId=10151&ddkey=http:OrderItemDelete

comes up $29. Then I went to the other site that has the codes per the earlier post here:
http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2519227&page=4
Tried one per the recco and each time it said code already used. So, per the other site, that is just for that store. I kept repeatedly changing store locations until one took it. Then I changed back to my local store and got it for the $21 and change.

I had never even heard of Knipex before. I have a pair of Channellocks and various other sets of pliers, e.g. kneedle nose, etc. I picked up the Cobra set this morning and I must say the quality of these pliers are superb. I'm not sure what the previous post was talking about in regard to flattened teeth and mis-aligned jaws but the pair I picked up this morning are first rate. I really like the push-button adjustment too. They were priced at 56.97 but rang up as 29.97, minus my $20 gift card I was out the door for a little over $12. Thanks to deadguy for posting this!

FYI guys, the Rapid City, South Dakota store worked twice with the first code listed on the slick deals site. I switched it back to my local store and I now have two sets of these waiting for my locally for $43 total.

As of 11:45 am, Thursday 12/30

OK, one more for the greedy. When I went down to pickup this am, they still had one more on the shelf. So I asked if they would sell @ the online price and they said sure. Now my brother-in-law will get a nice gift, and I get a great price!
