I've checked inventory first so I know they have it in stock, now I'm checking it again, still it says "available, qty 8"

I'm having the same problem.

I'm trying to buy some of those nifty electrician's needlenose pliers. I saw them in store when I picked my by cobras and want to go back for round two. Website shows quantity in stock, but won't let me place them in my cart for instore pickup. Grrr.:headscrat

Interesting. In store quantity shows 1. I know this to be accurate. Website responds with "unavailable a [this location]". I was still allowed to proceed with checkout and have an email confirmation to that effect. I'll be heading over to pick it up this evening.

Yeah the wife is getting suspicious why I keep eating bologna sandwiches and refilling water bottles. For the price of a Chick-Filet meal I can get a nice screwdriver, lol

I agree on it getting out of hand. Ordered a Knipex diagnal cutters and Channellock cable cutters in 2 separate orders using the $10 off code on each. Need to go pick them up...

This is kind of like last year's $5 off sears coupon.

It won't let me checkout at all and I'm getting more and more anxious. The good(?) thing is that the site now seems to be down (at least the part needed to select a store) so maybe they are fixing it.

On a side note, I started reading this thread with no desire at all to buy these since I have the Craftsman re-branded ones. GJ is definitely the cause of some problems for me... :lol_hitti

Hello all, been lurking here for a bit and decided to join. I have been having the same issue with the items not available and here is the problem...before you add the item to the cart you have to switch to whatever store you are going to try to use the promo code on. If you add the item and then switch stores it will come up as not available...

Yee-haw! Scored my pair of Cobra pump pliers today, hiding in the electrical section at my local Lowe's. Gave 'em the old test-eroo first with the single pliers hanging on the rack, I really like the sliding adjustment action there. (the single Cobra pliers are in an open plastic packaging with a big slot, so allows you to fiddle with them, nice)

Great deal guys. I thought I had a score when we got the craftsman rebadges at $25 or whatever. Its nice to have authentic Knipex now.

When I went in to pick them up the clerk was like "Wow, you got a great deal on those $60 pliers!".

Using the 10 of 25 made it unbelievable!

But these come up as not available without the promo code. I haven't even been able to try any promo codes yet since it won't let me get past the add-to-cart stage.

FYI at my Lowes they put this set in with the Greenlee stuff, not by the Knipex stuff. So if you can't find them, look in the Greenlee section.

Posaune...Clear out your cart, select a store (pick one in BFE and you will have better luck), then add the pliers back into your cart and you should be good to go...

There's someone advertising this same set on the Atlanta Craigslist for $40. I think they are trying to make $10 or $20 a pair on them.

Just picked mine up locally for 32.44 out the door. have been trying multiple ways all day to try and add anything to my shopping cart on Lowes website to no avail.

Oh well, got a pair now, still at least 8 other in the store. If I ever get the Lowes website to cooperate, I will definitely be getting several more pair!!

Just to confirm, this two pack is probably just a temporary price reduction right? (maybe to help spread some interest in the brand) They are not actually on clearance right? As in, will no longer be sold at lowes...right?

Thank you! I did this and it failed twice but finally worked. Something is really screwy with that site, but at least now I have two more pairs of pliers that I probably don't need!

I've tried switching to numerous stores in the area and all I get is unavailable and see there are 5+ at each store but one.

Snagged a set tonight. Thanks OP.

By the way, what do you guys think of the design on these? The little metal piece that holds the adjustment button in place seems like the weakest part of the tool. The Gators seem like a more rugged design, but they are a different style.

I've never had an issue with that piece, and even if you do, it's warrantied. I don't like the gators, because just like channelocks, if you drop them, or grab one handle, they adjust themselves.

I just ordered 3 sets at my store.

Just got mine!
First store showed 8 in stock - placed an online order for pickup, and they called me back 5 minutes later and told me they didn't actually have any in stock. WTH?

Called another to avoid the same issue again - they actually had some in stock. The nice lady pulled it and had it at the Custom Service desk for pickup. Took me all of 2 minutes once I got to the desk.

The bummer is I used a gift card for the first order. I now have to go the first store to pick up a reissued card, they can't put a refund back on the card.

Bunk

The Cobras are pretty sweet though, my first Knipex.

Demand a $25 card b/c they didn't meet their 20 minute available guarantee. I got one this morning b/c they told me my order was ready and when I got there it took them 30 minutes to find it.

Went to pick up my Knipex electrician's pliers today. When I got there the cleark says, "Oh, Knipex. I know what this is..." And proceeds to hand me a 2-pack of cobra pliers (!)

Me: "Nope, sorry, that's not mine."

He looked again and found my pliers. Lowe's must be getting a lot of traffic on this Knipex deal.

Looks like Lowes' cracking down on internet purchases with the 10 off 25 coupons.

I just received a call from my local Lowes telling me that they are not taking internet orders at this time. According to the person that called, they were told something about a system glitch and will not take any orders until further notice. If I want to buy them, I would need to go to the store and purchase them through the counter.
