Dude must really hate Lowe's then. They probably pay $10 a set and sell them for $30 regularly.
I got one of these sets today. The interesting thing was I had to go to the service desk to inquire since I couldn't find them. Their records showed 21 on hand whereas the website indicated 16.
The gal at the service desk managed to get ahold of the right tool dept. guy. He said this must be a promo item and he knew since it wasn't in the regular tool section, it could be almost anywhere in a standalone cardboard display or on J hooks.
He had to do almost 10 minutes of walking, but he found them in a standalone on the aisle with the truck tool boxes, jacks, etc.
So if you can't find these, go ask at the service desk. Oh it really helped to have a printout of the webpage.
That's the automotive section. It's been mentioned multiple times that they are either in lawn & garden or automotive.![]()

Yeah but when I looked at the sign at the front end, it read "Hardware" not Automotive. That's the automotive section. It's been mentioned multiple times that they are either in lawn & garden or automotive.![]()

The website usually states they have less than they actually do to account for shrink (theft) and inventory error (returned incorrectly)
I checked them out today and they were nice quality and smooth. I've wanted the c-man bent ratchet for a while but it's only 36 tooth which *****...
Sooo I bought two and bent one to about 23-degrees. Good deal for $30![]()

Nice looking bend! I think I may go do this..... I wonder if it compromises the handle strength at all, doing a cold bend like that?
Showing up $15.97 at my store. Absolutely don't need but I've always liked this style of Kobalt ratchet. Most of their sets come with the other style that isn't nearly as smooth.
Harbor Freight conversion - Kobalt flex head
Re: Alpinewhite
Great idea-I'm going to do that with my second one, thanks.

The bend makes spark plug removal easier in certain applications.I picked up two of these sets tonight. One because I actually needed a spark plug socket set at the moment, convenient, and the second because it was a good deal for the ratchet. I never would have known about it if not for yall, thanks.
Also, for those of you who bend the ratchet handles: what benefits does it give? I've never used a ratchet with a bent handle before.

For those of you that have bought multiple sets for yourselves (mainly for the additional ratchets) what are you doing with the extra spark plug sockets and extensions?

If it doesn't, get a free replacement at Lowes. My local Lowes allows replacement to a different model as long as I pay the price difference. The ratchet seems really nice, especially for the money. I hope the selector holds up better than the Harbor Freight style.
